Ch 35: 'Teenage Satellites'

[Out of Season 2 and into Season 3 we go...and a lot goes with this chapter.]
_____

[Your POV]

...You know those points in movies, where all hope seems lost for the hero. Where he's seemingly down and out for the count, with no chance of making a comeback. It seems it's the end for him. To the point the villain will win and the entire journey from the movie's start to now was just pointless? At least, that's what you are left to think before a few seconds of pause separates the moment apart. It's during this time that it's hinted that maybe not all hope is lost. That someone will come to save the day, and in that exact moment...That someone does? There were countless moments in media to confirm such, but let me tell you something. When that moment actually happens in real life, it's rather impactful, and I can confirm such.

Now...Sure. The moment I'm talking about didn't take place in the middle of a battle...or anything like that. Instead, it happened right outside a Plaza building, one in which I was about to enter, along with the rest of my classmates, to take place in a test that'd put us, students, up against the very teachers that, well, teach us! And this person's arrival wasn't so much impactful for everyone as it was for just me. Nevertheless, I was still glad they showed up. Why, you ask? Well, simple really. If it wasn't for the sudden arrival of the Number One Hero, I'd still be left standing in silence, as I watched two female teachers argue and vouch why they should be going up against me in these tests of power instead of other students.

The teachers I'm talking about are none other than Rumi Usagiyama and Nemuri Kayama; or as they're more commonly known as by their hero names 'Mirko' and 'Midnight'. Now, you're probably wondering right about now--(Y/n), why on earth do you know the personal names of two people who just so happen to be teaching you. After all, it's not normal. And you know what I'd say back...? You're damn right it's not normal! But did I have a say in it? No! Why? Because it started off with Mirko being annoyed that I only called her by her hero name, whilst she called me by my casual name. Now, why was she mad? Beats me. But when I asked her, she kinda just narrowed and gazed my way and expected me to understand.

Fair to say, I didn't understand. But as Bakugo would say, that wouldn't really be a surprise. Because Mirko's mind was working off 'Girl Logic'; whilst mine was based off 'Male Logic'. Surprisingly, I somehow managed to understand that more than anything Mirko was talking about. Nevertheless, it got me to further my previous point. Because, whereas Mirko forced me to call her by her first name, especially when around other people for some reason. Now, due to us being in a school, this quickly got back to certain other female teacher who somehow managed to add themself into my life. That person being Midnight, who immediately took a dislike to the idea that I was comfortable calling Mirko by her first name but not her.

Of course, I tried to tell Midnight otherwise, but she wasn't having it. Such left me to simply accept the idea placed before me and just begin calling both women by their first names. The only problem being, when the other heard about this, that only caused the already chaotic relationship between the two women to break out even more. And I was stuck in the middle of it. So, the point should be clear by now how much I was suffering with being left in such a circumstance I had no real say in. This eventually led us al to the current moment, where I was originally left to believe that, after all, other students were paired up with teachers to fight, I was left alone. Now this immediately left both Midnight and Mirko to say they'd gladly go up against me.

However, as fate would have it, this time around as I was placed between these two...confident, women, I was finally given a much-needed break. For before anything could properly break out between them, out of nowhere a large shadow formed from the sky above. It didn't take long for everyone to lift their heads to see the cause. And it took even less time for everyone to realize who it was, when out of nowhere a powerful quake ruptured the ground on which we now stood. All came about because none other than my secret hero mentor--Whom I actually haven't really been mentored by a lot now that I think about it--All Might, fell from the sky to save me from the chaotic clutches of two overly youthful women who wanted nothing more than to make me theirs!

All Might: "Ha! Ha! Ha! Have no fear, everyone! For I am here!"

It didn't take long before the presence of the Number One Hero was felt by everyone standing in attendance on this day. And whereas normally I wouldn't really be swayed by such a thing, I was honestly quite happy to see the over-the-top boy scout this time around.

All Might: [Smiles Brightly] "Haha! Hello everyone! It is I, All Might! And I am here... To make your acquaintance!"

Ashido: "All Might!"

Sero: "He really is here!"

Hagakure: "I was starting to feel like we were missing someone!"

Hagakure was correct, as this now made the realization clear that all the teachers whom we learn under, were now here. On one side of the walkway in which we found ourselves, were the heroes who have years of experience. And on the other side, was us students, who were now beginning to realize perhaps this physical test wasn't going to be as easy as once thought. Which only made the fact that if we didn't pass this test, we wouldn't be able to go to 'Out of school Training Camp' that was coming up.

Nevertheless, such a prospect seemed to not reach the teachers. That, or they were just too focused on finally getting some revenge back onto the runt school kids whom they've been forced to teach for the past few months now. However, before their wild imaginations could begin to run anywhere else, they were all abruptly cut off and forced to return their attention back to All Might. Who by this point had turned to me with his usual large stupid grin. Yeah...It's when I saw that, that I knew what was to come was probably something I wouldn't like.

All Might: "Now then! What was this I heard from you, Young Midoriya? You have no opponent to go up against?"

(Y/n): "Huh? What do you mean?"

All Might: "Just before! Before I arrived! You mentioned something about not having a teacher to go up against in this test!"

(Y/n): "Oh! Um, well...Yeah? I mean, there was no other teacher before you got here, and I don't have a partner so--"

All Might: "Ha! Ha! Ha!"

(Y/n): "...Um...Okay? Anyway. What I was trying to say is, I don't have a partner so--"

All Might: "Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha--"

(Y/n): [Slightly Annoyed] "Okay, I'm getting the sense you're not going to let me finish speaking. So I'm just going to leave my sentence at that and hope you just get what I'm trying to say."

All Might: [Smiles Brightly] "My apologies, Young Midoriya! But I just find it funny that you feel you need a partner is all!"

(Y/n): "What? Need a partner? I never said that, I'm just saying that the Principal--"

All Might: "--The Principal is a wise man! And it is because of that wisdom that he gave me the perfect idea!"

(Y/n): "And that is--"

All Might: "--Is that you! Young (Y/n) Midoriya! Are quite the rising hero! You show incredible bravery! Such showcased during the attack on USJ! That is why, the Principal and I, have decided that a partner is not what you need!"

As soon as that sentence came from All Might's mouth, silence fell on the surrounding area. I didn't need to turn around to take notice of the whispers coming from my fellow classmates. I think a few of them were surprised that All Might and the Principal thought I didn't need a partner. And honestly...I was kinda with them on that. I mean, not saying I needed a partner. But normally for these classes, they go the same with everyone.

No matter how powerful someone is. Heck! Even Todoroki had a partner, and he technically beat me during the Sports Festival. So to say I was at least a little bit surprised wouldn't be far from the truth. Though, for good or not, it was as I processed all of this that All Might not so sneakily leaned down next to me and covered his mouth as his own whispers exited his lips.

All Might: [Whispering] "Young Midoriya, I am whispering to you right now to let you know to not overthink this situation. This is all a part of my plan to mentor you as the next heir of One For All."

(Y/n): [Turns to All Might] "Huh? What?"

All Might: "Yes, well, after everything that went on with Stain, I realized that I have not been training you as much as I should have been. And I apologise for that. So after a long thought process--and Gran Torino yelling at me over the phone--I have decided to incorporate our training into class time!"

(Y/n): "So...What? Me and you fighting, that's not to do with me going to the training camp?"

All Might: "Oh, yes, of course. I do not want to take your mind away from the overall cause of this lesson. I merely want you to show me what you've got when we fight, okay? I want to see just how far you have come as a hero! Think of this as special training for One For All."

The enthusiasm in All Might's voice was most definitely noticeable, that's for sure. Now, despite me having One For All for a few months now, I still knew actually very little of it. And honestly, when I think about that aspect of it all, I can kinda only blame that on myself. I mean, for the longest time I was focused on only using my Nightmare quirk. But after everything with Stain, and wanting to honour Izuku through the quirk given to me, I decided from this point on that I'd treat One For All as seriously as I would my own. So when I heard that All Might wanted to see what I've got...It kinda made me excited for the fight. Of course, though...Not everyone could agree with that.

"This is so not fair!"

All Might: [Turns to the crowd] "Huh?"

As soon as All Might, and honestly a bunch of other people as well, made that noise, I quickly turned my head to follow their voices. And by no surprise, the no surprise being the literal no surprise I felt, when I finally sent my eyes only for them to land on the annoyed face of Midnight.

Midnight: "This is so not fair!"

All Might: "Um..." [Chuckles Confusingly] "I'm sorry, Midnight, but I'm afraid I don't understand what is not fair about this?"

Midnight: "What's not fair 'Blondie'!"

Nearby...

Kaminari: [Shocked] "...Did Midnight just call All Might...Blondie?"

Sato: "She...She did..."

Mineta: "...That woman is either a man with balls of steal...Or...A woman with a libido of--"

Slap!

The sight of Mineta's body suddenly falling to the ground was enough to alert both Kaminari and Sato to the cause. It was behind where Mineta previously stood, that an unphased Tsuyu could be seen with her tongue slightly hanging out of her mouth.

Tsuyu: "That is enough talking lines from you, Mineta."

Nothing but a fragile raised thumbs-up was all the grape-themed hero could do for a response. Such sealed the fate of this moment, and the fear both males standing nearby now carried for their froggy friend. All the while, not far away, Midnight was still going on her rant.

Midnight: "Look! I'm not saying this is a big deal! All I'm saying is that I personally went to Nezu's office earlier today to ask PERSONALLY, that I be the one paired up with (Y/n) for his special training! Not you!"

All Might: "O-Oh...Um...Hehe...I'm not quite sure what to say to that, honestly?"

Midnight: "Well, it doesn't matter what you say!" [Turns to Nezu] "It matters what YOU say, Mr. Principal!"

...I ain't going to lie. Midnight can be...things...at times. But honestly, right now, as she stared down the tiny Principal, I felt an aura coming from her that not even the Hero Killer himself had going for him...

Midnight: [Towers over Nezu; Angrily] "Well, 'Principal'?! WHY. IS. ALL. MIGHT. THE. ONE. TEACHING. (Y/N)?! HMM?!"

Nezu: [Cautious] "U-Uh, um, well...Midnight, I--"

...But whereas Midnight's aura was something to fear right now. The aura of Mirko was outright death-inducing! For before Nezu could even respond, Midnight was soon forced to turn around when the terrifying image of Mirko hovering over her filled everyone's attention span.

Mirko: "So...You asked the Rat to be partnered up with (Y/n)...HUH?! ...I thought we had a deal?"

Midnight: "Deal? What deal?"

(Y/n): [Mutters] "I'm not going to like the outcome of this, will I?"

Mirko: [To Midnight] "That neither one of US...Would ASK to be partnered up with (Y/n)! And that we'd let HIM decide!"

Midnight: "Oh...Right." [Smiles freely] "Well, I guess I forgot about that." [Grins Wickedly] "What are you going to do about it anyway?"

Mirko: "What am I going to do about it?" [Grins Maniacally] "I'll show you...I'LL KICK YOU RIGHT IN THE V--"

Before Mirko could do anything other than lift her leg into the air, presumably ready to kick Midnight, she was cut off and forced to pause in position as a confused, and slightly nervous, Nezu spoke up.

Nezu: "Uh...I hate to interrupt, Mirko." [Frantically mumbles] "Like, seriously, you really do scare me..." [Speaking Out Loud] "But, um... You also asked to be partnered up with (Y/n) for special training?"

Mirko: [Turns to Nezu] "Huh? Oh, well, yeah...Duh."

Midnight: [Angrily turns to Mirko] "DUH?! What the hell?! You asked the Principal?!"

Mirko: "Of course, I did! I mean, if anyone is going to train (Y/n) personally. It should be me!"

Midnight: "Why you?!"

Mirko: "Because (Y/n) and I already have a relationship..."

(Y/n): [Repeatedly Slaps Head] "Phrasing! Woman! Phrasing!"

Mirko: "...A relationship of master and student, that is."

...I'm honestly done with this shit.

Midnight: [To Mirko] "Uh, well, in that case. I win. Because I was (Y/n)'s 'master' first."

(Y/n): [Suddenly lifts head; Blushes] "Hold up? What?"

Of course, when I turned to Midnight, she was not looking at me. Instead, she just continued to stare off with Mirko. As for everyone else gathered around...They were looking right at ME of all people.

Kaminari: [Mutters to himself] "Forget a Fear Quirk. A Quirk of embarrassment would be 10x more deadly."

Mineta: [Bruised] "You said it best, brother."

Midnight: [To Mirko] "But that doesn't matter right now. What matters is why you'd even ask the Principal in the first place!"

Mirko: "Because I knew you would too! That's why!"

Midnight: "Then why the hell were you mad at me to begin with?!"

Mirko: "Because you still asked the Principal even after I knew I was going to do it!"

It was from this point onward that the two...teachers...began butting heads. Like, literally. Their heads were outright pushing up against each other. Well, um, their heads and their, uh...chests.

Mineta: [Taking in the glory] "...I have seen moons collide today, Kaminari. I can now gladly die."

Kaminari: [Also Staring] "...Uh, huh..."

Sero: [Goofily smiles] "I'm so glad I joined this class."

Kirishima: "...Hehe...Me too...I don't even care Midnight shoved me out of the way earlier anymore..."

Tokoyami: "This sight alone is enough to make me consider stop being emo for once."

Sato: "Who knew there was cake that wasn't used for baking."

Bakugo: "...Trust me, Muscles. Somethings baking."

Ojiro: [Blushes] "I'm not normally one for the perverted aspects of this class...But I'm still a guy..."

Iida: [Nervously Fixes Glasses] "...Mu-Must...Remain...Pure..."

Bakugo: [Snarks] "Ha! What an extra..."

Iida: [Immediately turns to Bakugo] "STOP CALLING PEOPLE EXTRAS, BAKUGO!"

Bakugo: "MAKE ME, ROBOT MAN!"

Whilst...That...went on. Not far away, the girls of Class were left to be 'stunned' at their male classmates.

Ashido: "Ew! Boys are so disgusting."

Yaoyorozu: "They realize what they're doing right?"

Jiro: "Knowing these idiots...Probably not."

Uraraka: "Do...Do boys really like girls like that?"

Jiro: "Unfortunately so. They're monkeys at the end of the day."

Hagakure: "Oh, well. They'll either die alone or grow up. One thing will happen."

Tsuyu: "...I would say something, but I feel like I'm the wrong person to say anything about eyeing someone..."

Of course, as soon as Tsuyu said that, she turned directly at me. I was kinda surprised a little when I turned to see her just staring at me. Made me question what exactly she was thinking in the moment. Though whereas I noticed Tsuyu looking my way, I failed to notice Akiko taking notice of it herself. Left confused by something at the mere sight of Tsuyu and I making eye contact. Nevertheless, I was quick to block such thoughts from my mind so I could turn them back to where the focus mattered. Pushing through the embarrassment, I leaned to the side to get the attention of All Might.

(Y/n): "Hey, All Might?"

All Might: [Turns to you] "Huh? Oh! Yes, Young Midoriya?"

(Y/n): "Before...You said you organised the two of us to fight for special training revolving around One For All, right?"

All Might: "Yes. Why do you ask?"

(Y/n): "Well, if that's what you meant by 'special' training..."

Slowly our combined gaze shifted back to the sight of Mirko and Midnight still pressed up against one another.

(Y/n): "...What exactly did they mean by 'special' training?"

All Might: "...Huh. Now that you mention it, they did say something about special training as well. Didn't they?"

No further word came from this conversation as All Might and I just continued to watch in silence. As for Mirko and Midnight, they most definitely were not silent.

Mirko: [Pushing up against Midnight] "I don't even know why you're trying so hard with (Y/n). He clearly doesn't like you."

Midnight: "Okay. First off, I'm not trying hard. I don't try hard for anything...I'm pretty. I can get by on my looks alone."

Mirko: "Well then, maybe you're not pretty. Because (Y/n) doesn't seem to notice you."

Midnight: "Hey! I am so noticed by (Y/n). Like just the other day, he said 'thank you' for looking after his Mom whilst he was in hospital." [Grins] "That's right. I've already met his Mom, and you know what? She likes me."

Mirko: "Oh, yeah? And she wouldn't like me?"

Midnight: "Well, I mean...I'm not exactly sure how she'd like the fact some girl with clear dominance issues and muscles any man would have, is dating her son. She'd much rather someone more feminine."

Mirko: "I'm feminine! I'm so feminine!"

Midnight: "Girls that are feminine...don't go to the gym for 18 hours a day."

Mirko: "Yeah, well..." [Grins] "...I've kissed (Y/n)."

Midnight: "WHAT?! WHEN?!"

All myself, and the rest of the crowd for that matter, heard was those two words. As everything else said between the pair was kept between them. Though, whatever Mirko had said to bring out such a response clearly was pleasing to the rabbit hero. Who quickly made sure to grin following her sentence.

Mirko: "What's even better, or worse in your case, is that after we kissed..."

Midnight: "...Yes?"

Mirko: "...He called me hot." [Innocently tilts head] "Has he called you hot before?"

Again, I'm not sure what was said between the two of them, but after Mirko's most recent sentence, Midnight's left eye just began...twitching. Twitching? Yeah. It was definitely twitching. Honestly, seeing all of this I was about to slap my face in disbelief. However, just as I was about to do so, it seemed that Midnight had finally snapped. Her hands quickly began to claw the air, as if she was about to reach out and grab Mirko by the throat.

Midnight: "Why you little bi--"

Before Midnight could say anything else, however, she was cut off when out the corner of her eyes she spotted a familiar set of hair walking right past her and Mirko. Not long after, Mirko also spotted this. It was as the two girls remained in the position of being pressed up against one another that their eyes followed this set of hair to see it was none other than myself walking passed them, and heading right for the entrance to the Plaza we all were supposed to go into five minutes ago. I was about five feet from the door when both Midnight, Mirko, and everyone else for that matter turned to look at me.

Mirko: "(Y/n)? Where are you going?"

(Y/n): [Continues Walking] "..."

Midnight: [To Mirko] "See! Clearly you've scared him with being clinging and outright unattractive."

Mirko: "Hey! I was so none of those! Besides, you really think I could scare him?" [Suddenly turns to you] "Tell her I don't scare you, (Y/n)! NOW!"

My original plan was to just walk past the pair without saying anything and hopefully save myself any further embarrassment. However, I found myself doing nothing but pulling the breaks when Mirko's voice sounded. For a moment, I questioned saying one thing or the other. But as Mirko's twitching angry expression awaited a response desperately, I decided to just be more direct with my next words.

(Y/n): "...I'm fighting All Might."

That seemed all it took to confuse both girls, enough that they stepped away from one another and completely turned their attention to me.

Midnight: "Wait. What?"

Mirko: "I don't understand, (Y/n)?"

(Y/n): "What's there to understand? I'm fighting All Might...Simple as that."

As those words left my mouth, I turned back around and continued walking. Of course, Mirko and Midnight couldn't have the conversation left at this. So they slowly began to walk after me.

Mirko: "But...Why wouldn't you want to fight us?"

Midnight: "Yeah. Why'd you want to fight with someone like All Might and not us? We're way prettier."

Mirko: "And stronger. Well...I am, anyway."

A lot of reactions came at that point. Like All Might being slightly hurt by that statement. The girls being confused. Me being fucking confused. And everyone else was honestly probably just trying to keep track of things at this stage. However, soon came time where I'd have to say something back once again. And just like before, at first, I had a bunch to say. Stuff that'd hopefully get Mirko and Midnight off my back. But just as I was about to say it, I decided to instead take this moment away from being about the girls, and instead put it onto everyone here. Not as a simple sentence though. But as a decree. A statement. A warning...That I wasn't messing around.

(Y/n): "Why do I want to fight with someone like All Might...? You want to know why?"

"...Because I can."

I think that final part was enough to confuse a few people, who were trying exactly to figure out what was being said and meant behind it all. And honestly, a part of me didn't quite understand it. However, what I tried to mean behind it was that...I wasn't going to let people deter my life for me. I had done enough of that with bullies and school and girls who broke my heart. That didn't matter. And just as I was moving forward with One For All, I'd also move forward with my inner self, and how I wanted that part of me to grow as well. Unfortunately...Mirko didn't seem to see it being that way as a good thing.

Mirko: "Because you can?! Because you can?! Forget that lame shit, (Y/n)!" [Begins marching towards you] "I want to know right now why you didn't choose to fight me! Because I honestly don't see why you'd pick someone like--"

(Y/n): "Rumi!"

Immediately, I turned around and offered a narrow gaze right at Mirko. Enough to freeze her in place and leave her stunned momentarily.

(Y/n): [Sighs] "...Enough, okay?"

Mirko: "Uh, but...Um...I...I-I, um..." [Sighs; Drops Head] "...Yes, (Y/n)."

That marked the end of this moment. With Mirko dropping her head allowing her ears to flop forward and covered her face. Only her still lips could be seen. Instantly following it, I turned back around and entered the plaza completely. Not long after, the teachers, including All Might entered as well. A few gave a look towards the downward Mirko, though didn't say anything as they didn't really know how to react to everything that just happened. One person who did know how to react was Midnight, who slowly approached the side of Mirko and placed a hand on her shoulder.

Midnight: "Hey. Don't be so discouraged, 'kay? (Y/n) just doesn't have time for you in his life right now." [Smiles Brightly] "But I'm sure I'm another--Huh?"

Midnight was suddenly forced to end her own sentence, however, when instead of seeing Mirko miserable. Midnight was shocked to see her...Smiling to herself? Something which most definitely confused the woman.

Midnight: "Um...Okay. Look. I'm all for being into hot shit like the guy being in control. But aren't you being a little..."

Mirko: [Smiles to herself] "...He said my name. He called me 'Rumi' again."

Midnight: "U-Uh, um, yeah...But he--"

Out of nowhere, Mirko lifted her head completely. Such was enough to put her smile on display. Something she didn't hide from as she joyously began skipping up the short flight of stairs and entered after everyone else. As for Midnight, she was left to stand in place for a moment. Confused by what she had just witnessed and unsure how to react to it. Well, she did know how to react at it. Agitated. Agitated that I still don't call her by her name! Midnight couldn't help but grovel at the thought. Now not only was Mirko going to keep rubbing it in her face that Mirko and I kissed, but that I also called her by her name. Again!

Midnight: "Argh!!! It's not fair!"

Those words once again left her mouth, with Midnight immediately following the action by rushing into the plaza after Rumi and everyone else. This meant the only people left outside now were the students...

Kaminari: "...Okay. What in the shit just happened?"

Kirishima: "...I don't know."

Mineta: [Staring Straight Ahead] "It's like something out of the fan fiction's I read online."

"I'll tell ya what happened."

The Boys: "Huh?"

Turning around, the trio were greeted by the sight of Bakugo staring into the distance. All before he finally turned his gaze back towards the others. And when he did, he spoke a few simple words.

Bakugo: "...My boy happened. Best to leave it at that."

With nothing more to be said Bakugo continued to walk ahead. All the while the boys were left confused, but even more confused by the fact they weren't entirely sure if Bakugo still hated me or not. Nevertheless, this left them with enough questions that they quickly chased after Bakugo, meanwhile, the girls of class were left behind to follow in their tracks.

[3rd Person POV]

Ashido: "So...That was something, huh?"

Yaoyorozu: [Chuckles Nervously] "Haha...It most certainly was."

Hagakure: [Blushes] "Who knew (Y/n) was that popular?"

Jiro: "I mean, he is pretty cool..."

Yaoyorozu: "And strong..."

Hagakure: "And kind..."

Tsuyu: "And has a nice butt..."

Ashido: "...And Hot!!"

In less than a second, the gathered girls all turned towards Ashido, who just looked back at them in confusion.

Ashido: "Oh, come on! You're all going to look at me for something like that, but not Tsu!"

Jiro: "We're used to Tsu talking like that."

Tsuyu: "It's true. You're all my closest friends."

Hagakure: "Aw! Really?"

Tsuyu: "Uh, huh."

Ashido: "...Argh! The point is! We were all thinking it! Right, Ochaco?! You're (Y/n)'s girlfriend, you know he's hot!"

Uraraka: [Lifts Head] "Huh? O-Oh. Yes!"

A gentle smile found Uraraka's face as she turned to her friends. All of whom were unsure how the girl would take the news of hearing someone else say her boyfriend was hot. Thankfully, it seemed Uraraka was fine with it. And honestly, she was. Her thoughts were just processed elsewhere right now. However, as the others too began to walk off, leaving Uraraka alone to continue to think about them, she was quickly brought out of them yet again when a voice she wasn't too familiar spoke up from behind.

"This must all be pretty hard on you, huh?"

Uraraka: "Hmm? Oh--"

In the process of turning around to face the person, Uraraka's movements were suddenly stopped when she saw the person talking to her was none other than Akiko. The niece of Eraser Head, but most prominently...The girl who broke (Y/n)'s heart when they were kids. Yes, it was a story Uraraka had heard a lot. Not from (Y/n), of course, but from his best friend, Bakugo. The goofy blonde had spoken plenty of how when they were kids, (Y/n) was head over heels for the girl who sat at the front of their class, Akiko.

Back then, she was nice and friendly to all. But then Kaito showed up at school, and not only did he take a liking to bullying (Y/n), but also in Akiko. And before too long, the once nice girl became someone unforgiving and cruel, who said such horrible things to (Y/n) that Uraraka didn't even want to think about them for how sad they made her feel for her boyfriend. But right now, as this girl stood before her with an innocent smile on her face, all Uraraka could think about what she had done to (Y/n)...All the while she questioned what she should do.

Uraraka: "O-Oh...Um, A..." [Smiles Slightly] "Um, hey? It's, uh...Sazama Akiko, right?"

She knew the name...She just didn't know a better way to address the person behind it. Thankfully, it seemed to work.

Akiko: [Smiles Slightly] "Yeah! I'm Akiko, haha! And you're Uraraka! Oh, um...Sorry. I hope that isn't weird. I know we haven't talked before, it's just...we're in the same class, so I've heard your name a few times before is all..."

Uraraka: "Oh, um...That's fine."

Akiko: "Uh...Cool? Cool! Um! Anyway, sorry for just speaking out of random, I just saw everyone walk off and thought I'd take this opportunity to introduce myself is all."

Uraraka: "Oh...Alright then."

Akiko: "Um, yeah, so...About what I said...Is it?"

Uraraka: "Hmm?" [Tilts Head] "I'm sorry, I don't understand."

Akiko: "Oh! Uh, j-just before...I said that this must be pretty hard on you. You know, with Midnight and Mirko fighting over (Y/n)...He's your boyfriend, right?"

Uraraka didn't know why, but in that exact moment, she felt a wave of jealousy launch over her. The first words that came to her mind were-- "Yes! (Y/n) is my boyfriend. You can't have him!" --Uraraka felt so embarrassed when she first realized her thoughts, but after awhile, she didn't necessarily find herself disagreeing with them. All she could do was keep her gaze on the girl before her as she finally responded.

Uraraka: "Uh, yeah. (Y/n)'s my boyfriend...Why do you ask?"

Akiko: [Blushes Slightly] "We-Well, about my question, is all. You know, this being hard on you?"

Uraraka: "Oh! Uh, right...This..."

This. What was happening with Midnight and Mirko. Was it hard on her? Did she not like it? Well, of course, she didn't like it. But a part of her found no worry. Which...Is kinda odd. Such a feeling only doubled as Akiko continued to wait for a response. It was during this time, as Uraraka and Akiko continued to eye one another, that the brunette began contemplating what she should say. Should she say anything? It would sound desperate and defensive.

Even if it was, she was allowed to be defensive, right? After all, (Y/n) was her boyfriend. And Akiko hurt him. She didn't like people who hurt her friends. In the end, a lot was going through her head in this moment. To the point, she didn't exactly know what to think or say. All she knew was that in this moment, she didn't know what to bring forth...That's when she decided to just let everything that had previously been bottled up out into the open. And she did so with a smile on her face.

Uraraka: [Smiles] "...Nope."

Akiko: "I'm sorry?"

Uraraka: "Nope. This isn't hard on me. The Midnight and Mirko stuff, I mean. I'm not really worried about it, to be honest."

Akiko: "Oh...Um, I-I don't mean to overstep or anything. But would you mind if I asked why?" [Chuckles Nervously] "I mean, if it was my boyfriend in this situation--"

Uraraka: "--You have a boyfriend?"

Akiko: "Huh? Oh...Um...No. It's just...If I had a boyfriend who was going through this situation, I don't think I could be as strong as you are, Uraraka."

Uraraka: "Well, that's the thing. I'm not strong...(Y/n) is."

Instantly, as soon as (Y/n)'s name was brought up, Akiko lost all nervousness in her entire subconscious and quickly lifted her head to look directly into the eyes of the girl opposite her. Nevertheless, despite what nerves Uraraka herself was feeling, she never backed down from keeping her eyes directed solely on the girl before her as she spoke out further.

Akiko: "I...I don't understand."

Uraraka: [Tilts Head] "Oh. You don't?" [Smiles] "Well, let me try to explain it better. You see, when I say (Y/n)'s strong. I don't just mean from a Quirk standpoint. I mean, he's really strong in that regard. He even fought off villains that attacked USJ like All Might said earlier..."

Akiko: "Oh."

Uraraka: "What I'm talking about is the person he is in general. He's strong because whereas so many other guys wouldn't even think about the girl they were dating when having people like Mirko and Midnight chasing after them. Heck, some wouldn't even apologise for it even going on in the first place. But (Y/n)...He's not like that. Not only is he strong enough to resist such things. But he's strong enough to ignore his own feelings about the whole situation to make sure I'm feeling okay. That I'm feeling reassured. That I know he loves me and only me in that light. Even if I'm fine with other girls thinking (Y/n) is attractive, I mean, I'm a girl too. I think he looks really nice. So I'm not going to be an idiot and think no one else will. Instead of being annoyed by that, or being angry at him, I'll take pride that a handsome guy like (Y/n) thinks I'm pretty and wants to date me. That's why I'll never give him up, or let girls who are being silly get in my way of loving him back."

It wasn't often in life that Uraraka felt like she was at the centre of attention. But right now, was most definitely one of those moments. And whilst on the inside, her heart was beating unlike any other time in her life, right now, Uraraka didn't care. She merely used the adrenaline coming from the moment to boost her path forward through this conversation. And as Uraraka continued to feel the highs, Akiko was left to swallow the lows. Now, whereas she didn't know any better, Akiko couldn't help but feel that the universe was delivering her this message as if to put a nail further into her spirit.

Such was enough to diminish any hopes that life at U.A. could be better than what she had left behind, and the mistakes that she made. But no matter what Akiko was feeling in the moment, Uraraka seemed to either not notice, or not care, as following this moment, the young brunette simply offered a smile before saying she was going to go support her boyfriend through his upcoming match with All Might. All Akiko could do was smile as best she could and allow Uraraka to leave, all the while, Akiko failed to come to grips with the old wounds slowly being opened from the inside.

******

And so from that moment forward, time went by rather quickly for Uraraka, who witnessed as her classmates went up against the designated hero teachers were were asked--others forced--to take up in the various matches that were decided. In the end, however, the one that had been waiting on everyone's minds since the beginning came to be.

--All Might Vs. (Y/n) Midoriya--

It seemed odd to be excited for such a match. Seeing as on one end of the battle field--Which ended up looking like a simple city street, with various building and stores designed to be like the real thing around them--was the Number One Hero himself, All Might! Left to grin and flex his muscles as he faced his opponent, who waited on the other side. (Y/n) Midoriya, the young boy who had not only fought against the villains that had attacked USJ.

But also the Hero Killer who had caused so much chaos in recent weeks. Whilst it was clear (Y/n) was powerful, the mere fact that he was still a student was a subject no one could disregard. But neither one of these individuals seemed to care. Both continued to focus on their gaze on the opponent opposite them, as in a separate room, the students and teachers watched with baited breath through monitors on the wall.

Cementoss: [Leans over to Aizawa] "You don't think this is over-doing it, right?"

Aizawa: "It's not for us to say, unfortunately. The Principal said he and All Might came to a reason why this should happen. So we should let it be as such."

A short distance further down the group, both Midnight and Mirko could also be seen watching the screens closely. Though both women carried different demeanours.

Mirko: [Speaking to herself; Narrows Gaze] "(Y/n) better not lose. I can't have my rookie being beaten by anyone. Not even All Might!" [Grumbles] "...Though, if he does lose. He and I can go at it again for hours. I can say it's because he's a failure and needs to learn more. But really I'll just use that as an excuse for him to take care of my itch..."

Midnight: [Speaking to herself] "I mean, it's just not fair. Out of everyone here, I've spent the most time chasing after (Y/n). Heck! I didn't even think All Might knew who he was. Why would he be interested in (Y/n)? After all, Bakugo said I was (Y/n)'s favourite hero when he was a kid. Not All Might. I mean, sure, (Y/n) thought I was a guy with big muscles on my chest. But still! He's a teenage boy, he's practically going to love what's big about my chest, even if they aren't the muscles he thought they were when he was a kid."

The reactions from the two women were still able to draw gazes from their fellow heroes, but when asked about why he didn't really intervene much before, Nezu admitted once again his fear for the two female teachers of U.A. High. Nevertheless, it was fair to say that the moment wasn't entirely stolen by the teachers, as even the students had their own fair share of contemplated thoughts. Most, of course, still being revolved around Mirko and Midnight, and how they practically were chasing after (Y/n).

But then there were others, such as Uraraka's mindset. It was since speaking to Akiko minutes ago, that the young brunette found herself covered with a sense of freshness. Which was odd. Because beforehand, she felt as if everything was caving in around her. From her relationship with (Y/n), to the uncertainty involving Mirko and Midnight liking her boyfriend, and the fact she stilled stressed over wanting Yaoyorozu and Hagakure to finally get to be with (Y/n) as well.

It was all so much, but ever since she faced all those odds by speaking out to Akiko, Uraraka found herself finally free from the stress. To the point, she had decided on something. When this fight between teacher and student was done, she'd still her boyfriend about it all. She'd no longer let fear hold her back. She'd embrace all that came through her system and simply do all that she could in the moment. But before all of that could take place, first a fight needed to go down. And it was fair to say, by the time it all came to be, everyone was eagerly standing on the tips of their toes in anticipation.

--In The Makeshift Battle City Streets--

All Might: [Grins] "Well then, Young Midoriya, it appears as if the time for us to combat one another has arrived. Are you ready?"

(Y/n): [Smiles] "What? Think I'd run away scared?"

All Might: "Of course not. I believe quite a lot in my heir, thank you very much. It's just...If I was facing any other student right now, I'd be using restraints to hold back my power. For you, I'm not doing that."

(Y/n): "Good. I wouldn't want you bringing up any excuses if I were to beat you after all."

All Might: "Oh? Ha! Ha! So you think you can beat me, huh?"

(Y/n): "Think? No...I know I can."

Immediately, the young boy's smile and gaze narrowed, with his lips hooking into a confident grin as he crouched down into a battle stance.

(Y/n): "I mean...What hero goes into a fight expecting to lose, right?"

All Might: "Haha! I see Gran Torino's words have rubbed off on you nicely. He said the exact same ones to me when I trained under him."

Instantly following his words, All Might copied (Y/n)'s actions by getting into a battle stance of his own. The older man dropping down to a leaned position, with his solid fist digging into the rocky road beneath his being to keep him balanced. It was by this point that the two now carried similar appearances, both in actions and bodily remarks. But the thing that surprised a few people watching, was that whilst their poses were the same, so were their faces. Both (Y/n) and All Might carried noticeable grins.

It was as if they didn't see this moment as a fight, but a showing of strength between two friends. But that wasn't to say either one saw this as a joke. No. Far from it. And they made sure that that fact was known by all. And it came about in a rather simple manner, when as (Y/n)'s gaze lingered on All Might's for as long as All Might had done to him, suddenly, the young boy's gaze disappeared as he reached behind his neck and pulled on his mask.

The glowing green eyes that cut through the day; the bright appearance of the tattered yellow scarf around his neck; the sharp claws for fingers and toes; and the darkened green ears of a rabbit that prodded from the top of his head. It wasn't a sight anyone who happened to see it during the night would ever deem worthy to approach. But even for those closest to (Y/n), his classmates and teachers, even they had to admit that every time the boy put on the mask...They sometimes forget that at the end of the day that, he too, was a hero like them.

(Y/n): "What do you say, All Might, want to get this thing started already?"

All Might: "We have people waiting for a reason, Young Midoriya. Best not to keep them waiting."

(Y/n): [Thoughts] "I couldn't agree more."

Once those words left the space of (Y/n)'s mind, he knew only seconds awaited him before this practical exam had finally reached its boiling point. What he didn't know was just how quickly those seconds would pass. It seemed like it all happened in the blink of an eye, when both combatants launched off their marks at separate ends of this makeshift city street to collide in what would be the spectacle of the day. What made the moment even more extraordinary for everyone watching, was that at first, time seemed to slow down for all those in the examination room. This allowed them to perfectly take in the sight of a powered-up (Y/n) and All Might come racing towards one another. With (Y/n)'s clawed fist embedded with light green veins running up his arm; as All Might's own clenched fist cut through the wind like an unstoppable force.

But when those prepared fists finally made contact with one another...The entire surrounding area went silent in complete awe. No one could properly describe the moment in its entirety. Nor the feelings they felt upon seeing (Y/n) and All Might come face to face with one another, as their fists pressed firmly against their opposite. It was like new and old had come to finally meet. Day and night reaching that perfect point before dawn. It was hard to describe, but so easy to imagine. But to imagine it was only for a second, as with the slowness of this first encounter, eventually came a rampage of attacks and strikes that followed afterwards. This wave of attacks, however, went at such incredible speeds that no one could keep up with them.

It was like a foray of combos brought directly out of a videogame. The only body parts that could be seen in normal speeds were the heads of both (Y/n) and All Might; whose bodies seemed to hover in place as they tried to get even the slightest hit on the other. This moment eventually came to an end, however, when gravity finally decided to play its part in it all. But instead of simply dropping to their feet, both heroic individuals made the move to launch themselves back in the direction they had come from previously. By the time they both touched the ground, All Might and (Y/n) were left panting for breath as they each took a knee. It was in this momentary pause that the people watching were able to see the outcome of the fierce attacks that had just been delivered.

At first, it didn't seem like anything had happened. But before long, Hagakure had spotted a tear on (Y/n)'s right shoulder. Where torn fabric could be seen. Seconds after, Thirteen noticed something similar for All Might, though along the side of his ribs, instead. Now, at plain view, this didn't seem like much. But when you remembered that this was a student going up against All Might of all people, it only added to the shock value. The fact that (Y/n) was not only able to land a strike on All Might, but also able to dodge almost every attack given to him did massive favours for the young Anti-hero. It was during this pause that both people stuck in the middle of the fight also decided to acknowledge what just went down.

All Might: [Panting] "Well, well. You most certainly have improved (Y/n). And I see you're even using One For All against me. What? Not believing in the strength of your own Quirk anymore?"

(Y/n): [Panting] "...No. I'm just...Not letting my quirk blind me from the fact I have another one at my disposal. That'd be a little disrespectful to One For All, don't ya think?"

Although All Might couldn't tell in the moment, a self-knowing grin formed under (Y/n)'s mask in this moment. Nevertheless, just hearing the words come from his heir's mouth was enough for him to return that gesture.

All Might: [Stands up] "That's good to hear, (Y/n). But I would feel at fault if I were to not at least get a taste of this Nightmare Quirk of yours. For I am here...To see your TRUE might!"

(Y/n): [Stands up] "Well then, if you wanna see what my Nightmare Quirk has in order, I'll be glad to show you. After all, it hasn't been just One For All I've been training hard on. Thanks to Mirko, my Nightmare Quirk has grown stronger as well."

All Might: [Grins] "I'm glad to hear, Young Midoriya. Now then, show me what you've got!"

Just like before their previous encounter started, (Y/n) sprung a grin onto his lips as he dropped to a knee and planted his fist directly into the ground beneath him. However, unlike before when he used this position to keep him balanced, he took this pose because it was the easiest, and most common position he took, when speaking these next two words.

"...Fear Second!"

At the call of that familiar power-up, the eyes of everyone in the examination room lit up with excitement, as memories of (Y/n)'s first time using such a tool during the USJ attack was brought to memory. Well, for everyone but Mirko, who saw the familiar time as a reminder of the first time she discovered (Y/n) truly was the perfect rookie for her, not only for hero work, but also for fixing her itch work.

Something that was actually starting to build up the more the fight went on. Mirko was starting to get so worked up, in fact, that Midnight noticed the Rabbit Hero begin to slightly punch the air the more she witnessed (Y/n) fight. Meanwhile, back in the makeshift battlefield, All Might's grin only grew, even remaining so when a powerful step forward from young Midoriya made his new form revealed to those watching...and the man standing before him.

The nightmarish form in which (Y/n)'s body now carried was definitely a lot to take in for those not used to the form. But those who managed to push through the uncomfortableness of the entire thing were left to take in the power in which it brought the young boy. Such as larger muscles, quicker reflexes, and even quicker speed. All such things and more came with this form unlike any other, and all because (Y/n) was able to use his Nightmare Quirk to cause his body to feel as if it was going through a nightmare even when awake.

Allowing his heart rate to quicken and force a surge of adrenaline someone gets when waking up from having a bad dream. But instead of it being a simple dose that dissipates after a short while of realizing it was all in your head, (Y/n) was able to train this part of his Quirk to keep going for longer periods of time. It was because of these added boosts in energy and power that the young boy had confidence in his fight with All Might.

So much so that in the end, all All Might could do was take in (Y/n)'s mere fearful appearance before out of nowhere it disappeared in the blink of an eye. Now, this of course caught those watching off guard, surprised by (Y/n)'s incredible speed. Speed that was even faster than what it had been previously. But All Might seemed to show no such lack of guard or inexperience. Instead, as his grin remained, he just simply began to slowly turn his body in a 360-degree direction. All the while anticipating the oncoming attack.

All Might: "I must say, Young Midoriya, your speed has most definitely increased whilst in this form. Before you were able to disappear, only to reappear seconds later in a different spot. But now you seem able to remain hidden for longer periods of time. And without shadows of all things. I'm impressed!"

Of course, to keep with his unknown approach to fighting, (Y/n) did not respond. But this was all what All Might had expected. And it was because of such that he was able to disregard any such thought about a response to instead focus on where (Y/n) would attack from. Because he would attack sooner or later...All Might knew such, and so did everyone else. Though what he didn't expect from (Y/n) was that instead of appearing behind the Number One Hero, to attack from a spot he couldn't see, All Might was shocked when in the blink of an eye, (Y/n)'s nightmarish green gaze appeared inches from his eyes--as did the rest of his body. All Might was so caught off guard by such an unexpected outcome to the matter that he moved backwards just half an inch.

Maybe not much to others, but for a number one hero...that was a lot. But half an inch or not, that number was soon doubled, tripled, even further than that when (Y/n)'s courageous upfront attack was followed instantly by a powerful headbutt directly to the dome of All Might. The sudden impact--which not only shocked those watching in the examination room, to the point some audibly gasped--was able to send All Might's movements tumbling backwards. And though whilst not completely sending him ass over tits back onto the ground behind him, it was enough of a throwoff that it allowed (Y/n) to use this extra boost of speed to once more disappear out of sight. But this time around, he didn't stay hidden for long.

Seconds latter the shorter male appeared on the ground, to the side, where he proceeded to quickly send a powerful kick to the left knee of the number one hero. Such an impact forced All Might to take said knee to the ground. By the time this happened, (Y/n) had already disappeared for a second time now, only to reappear once more. This time on the right, where his body jumped into the air and quickly sent a powerful left jab across the face of All Might. It was from this point onward that the process of (Y/n)'s body disappearing only to reappear seconds later to strike All Might somewhere on his body continued over and over again. The young boy's attacks were so quick that All Might, left to take a knee, was unable to fully block them.

And with his focus on the onslaught of attacks, he was able to recover his knelt position from standing. It seemed that (Y/n) had gotten fortunate in his fight with All Might that the unexpected tactic of appearing right in front of the hero had paid off completely. Meanwhile, in the examination room, the members of Class 1-A were going ballistic at seeing their friend do so well against All Might. The boys, consisting of Kaminari, Kirishima, Mineta, and a few others were bouncing around and cheering (Y/n) to keep going. The only ones to not react audibly from the boy's side who weren't teachers, were Todoroki, Bakugo, and to a lesser extent, Iida.

But Todoroki was used to the silent demeanour; Bakugo was trying his absolute hardest to still seem annoyed by (Y/n), that he even went about holding his breathe and clenching his fingers as to not break character and scream cheers of joy and words of destruction to both his best friend and All Might. As for Iida, well, he was too busy writing down notes of what he was currently seeing. As for the teachers, whilst most remained calm, though otherwise impressed, people such as Midnight and Mirko were showing a bit more energy. Mirko more so than Midnight, who currently had both hands placed out on the controls for the monitors in front of her, whilst she desperately searched around for the microphone so she could yell at (Y/n).

Mirko: "Come on! Where is it! Where's that damn microphone?!"

Midnight: "Um, what are you doing?"

Mirko: "I'm looking for that damn microphone so I can yell at (Y/n)!" [Turns to Nezu] "You! Rat! Where's the microphone at in here? I want to yell at (Y/n) that he's doing it wrong!"

Nezu: "...Uh, um...I'll have you to please not call me 'rat'. I'm actually--"

Mirko: "Yeah! Yeah! Whatever! Where's the Microphone at!"

Aizawa: [Turns to Mirko] "Mirko, I feel it's best that we leave the fight to go as is. Intervening would be rather foolish right now."

Mirko: [Narrows Gaze] "...Are you calling me an idiot, Christmas Present?"

Aizawa: "Christmas Present?"

"Ha! Christmas Present! Why didn't I think of that nickname?"

In that moment, everyone turned to look at Bakugo, who just looked back at them as if they were the weird ones.

Bakugo: "What? He's wrapped in bandages! It makes sense!"

No response came, though, not that that really bothered Mirko, who just continued to look for the damn microphone. It was as she did that, that back in the makeshift city a short distance away from the examination room, (Y/n)'s onslaught of repeated punches after appearing out of nowhere suddenly came to an abrupt stop. All when after almost a minute of non-stop attacks, All Might had finally gathered the pattern needed to block one. Because believe it or not, all he had to do was block one attack fully to get himself back into this fight.

And eventually, that time came when after (Y/n)'s body disappeared and reappeared seconds later, All Might used all the speed available to beat (Y/n) in turning in the same direction. When (Y/n) realized such, his movements paused just enough that when his fist was sent flying forward, All Might was narrowly able to beat it. But not only best it in speed, but being able to fully grab the young boy's wrist before he could even blink. It was in this position, where All Might held onto the boy who now hung by his wrist, that the Number One Hero decided to make it clear just how far (Y/n) still had to go.

All Might: "I like your spirit, Young Midoriya. But you must remember, doing the same attack over and over again for too long of a period will only cause you to fail in the long run. You must learn to keep things fresh, to not rely on the same move for too long; to make sure you have an arsenal of moves at your disposal...Kinda like this one, actually!"

Before (Y/n) could even say anything, out of nowhere, All Might swung his waist around, and in doing so brought (Y/n)'s body with him. It was about when the 360-degree action reached half way, with speeds already incredible, that the Number One Hero suddenly let go of (Y/n)'s wrist, causing the young boy to get flung into the distance where he now headed straight for an oncoming brick wall. The sudden rebound of All Might was even more of a point to pique the interest of everyone watching.

But for (Y/n), he took it as another learning curve. Fortunately for the young boy, the distance between him being launched from All Might's hand, to the oncoming brick wall of a building at the far end of the street, was long enough that he was able to twist his body mid-air. Allowing him enough time to get his feet ready to take the majority of the impact that was seconds away.

It was in that exact amount of time, that the crouched legs of young Midoriya could be seen smashing into the brick wall that awaited him. However, with all his strength being resorted to his legs, (Y/n) was able to keep this crouched position intact even after he had hit the wall. So by the time the dust cleared from the impact, it basically appeared like (Y/n) was crouched on the ground, though instead of being the ground, it was the wall. With pressuring continuous being pulsed through his legs to keep him ready for a sudden attack that would shortly come.

All Might: "Huh...So you were able to turn that move around in your favor? Very good, Young Midoriya."

(Y/n): "What can I say? I had a good teacher."

All Might: "Well, as much as I am sure Gran Torino would love to hear that. Unfortunately, I think it's time I showed you a move of my own. Though this one I don't believe you'll be able to counter."

(Y/n): "You sure about that? You know I was a pretty big hero fan when I was younger. I know all your attacks."

All Might: "Oh, I'm sure you do. But knowing and understanding are two different things, Young Midoriya." [Smirks] "...Let's see if you understand this~"

Without a moment to waste, All Might quickly began picking up his pace. What was once walking, had turned to jogging, and before long, the number one hero could be seen running as fast as he could before eventually launching off his feet at incredible speed! But (Y/n) didn't shy away from this, instead, he just continued to grin under his mask as his feet continued to push further into the brick wall in which his feet now found themselves planted in.

However...Something felt strange. You see, as (Y/n) had been listening to All Might, he had continued to repeatedly apply pressure into the hells and muscles of his legs unconsciously, even giving slight movements, similar to that of repeated crouches, such as the ones someone would make whilst having a workout or something at the gym. (Y/n) didn't think much of this. Honestly, he didn't know he was even doing it. However, that soon changed when he felt something flowing through his legs. And it wasn't long before everyone else took notice.

Hagakure: "Hey. What's going on with (Y/n)?"

Ashido: "What do you--Hey! You're right!"

Sero: "(Y/n)'s Legs--"

Midnight: "--They're glowing red!"

Mirko: [Narrows Gaze] "So he's got new moves, huh? And he didn't even think about trying them on me first?! That's it!" [Grumbles] "I'm so going to yell and beat him up during our next sparring match."

For once, however, those in the room did not focus on Mirko, but what caused Mirko to act such a way. As previously mentioned, the red glow that had now embraced (Y/n)'s feet. It didn't take long before (Y/n) sensed a strange amount of energy coming from his legs, and upon lowering his gaze to see the red glow that now embraced his appendages, he didn't know what to think at first. However, before long, he wasn't allowed time to think over it anymore. The approaching figure that was All Might, who had now began to pull his right arm backwards, ready to strike, made sure of that. Now, what happened next may not have been exactly very...smart.

But for the time being, (Y/n) decided to postpone finding out exactly what was going on with his legs. All he knew was that a crazy amount of energy was currently coursing through them, and seeing as All Might was about to hit him with a powerful attack. It was only fair that he did the same, right? So that's exactly what (Y/n) did! Pushing past the unknown of this newfound energy (Y/n) instead decided to use it, and by using it the young boy wasted no time in joining All Might by launching through the air. However, what was different about this new skill compared to his usual takeoff, was the pure amount of power that came with this one.

If his usual launch from the ground was the same speed as a really fast car, this one was as quick as a bullet train! So much so that (Y/n) was barely able to fully comprehend what was going on as his body zoomed through the air to eventually meet All Might in the middle. But with the Number One Hero already having his fist pulled back for an attack, (Y/n) decided to join him. Proceeding to pull his own right arm back as far as he could, preparing himself to collide with All Might, both heroes, whether known or not, found themselves eager to find out what would happen next. The only thing left before then...was to tell everyone exactly what was coming their way.

"UNITED STATES..."

"UN-KNIGHTMARE STATES..."

"...Of..."

"...Of..."

"...SMASH!!!!"

That one word alone was the only precursor as to what would come next. The unbelievable connection of power unlike any other! All Might's honed version of One For All, going up against (Y/n)'s combined forces of One For All and Nightmare! These incredible forces of power and destruction all coming together to eventually collide in a powerful display of colours that explodes everyone upon the two figures fists smashing into one another. Everyone was soon blinded from the light that came from the attack, even those in the examination room weren't fully sure what happened. Though, being able to see it or not, one thing was indeed known between the people gathered today. And that was, no matter the outcome of this fight, the future for the public and heroes alike...was most definitely alive and well.

[Your POV]

--Later--

"It's alright, dude."

"Yeah! You'll get him next time!"

"You were so close (Y/n)!"

"That was incredible!"

"I can't believe you went one-on-one with All Might, (Y/n)!"

The words of my classmates and friends entered my ears all in one go it seemed, but honestly, I struggled to hear it all with my mind being so preoccupied with thoughts of what had just happened. I had fought All Might! The number one hero! We went at it, like it was just a simple game of catch! Well, catch if it involved throwing powerful attacks at one another. Nevertheless, I fought All Might...and I almost won, too. But, of course, as already mentioned by my friends...I didn't win. But honestly, I'm actually not that heart broken by it.

I'm not even sure what really happened in the end to be honest. I just remember my fist colliding with All Might's, and then a bright light swallowed us both. When I regained consciousness or something, I was seated in the exact spot I am now, in the middle of the road, and this makeshift city street, left to look up at the faces of my friends before me. Eventually, I was helped up by Iida and Kirishima. Though, before I could talk to any one of them, my focus was soon injected on the newest arrival.

"(Y/n) Midoriya! Where you at?!"

(Y/n): "Huh?"

Lifting my head, and looking past the crowd of people around me, my eyes quickly landed on the sight of an agitated Mirko marching my way, followed behind by a less-than-eager Midnight. It seemed Mirko had quite the things to say. Something I got a whole better look at when she finally cleared through the crowd of students to eventually reach my position. It was in this moment I realized she DEFINITELY had quite the things to say.

Mirko: "There you are, (Y/n)! You know, I hope you don't think that just because you fought All Might that I wouldn't give you time to rest before you fight me! I've been itching like crazy and I need you too--"

(Y/n): "--Thanks for the support, Rumi."

...And just like that, her agitated expression dropped.

Mirko: [Blushes Slightly] "...Hu-Huh?"

Midnight: [Grumbles] "Oh, great...Here we go again."

(Y/n): [Smiles] "I said, thanks for the support, Rumi. The guys here told me you were pretty eager to talk to me whilst I was fighting All Might. I'm sure you had a lot of advice to yell at me, huh?"

In an instant, the angry face of Mirko, quickly shifted to the surprisingly unsure expression of Rumi. Sure, they were the same person. But now I was starting to think that the Mirko side of Rumi, was more so a show than anything. Or, at least, a way for Rumi to vent and get off some steam.

Rumi: [Smiles down at herself] "Uh, we-well...I mean...I guess. I wasn't really looking to say much! It's just...Um..."

(Y/n): "Haha! No, I get it! Look, I'm...I'm sorry for letting you down. I guess All Might just got the better of me near the end."

Rumi: [Lifts Head] "Hmm? You didn't let me down, (Y/n)!"

(Y/n): "Huh? I didn't?" [Chuckles Lightly] "I guess I thought you'd be mad that I fought All Might and lost, so you'd want to fight me right away."

Rumi: "I wasn't like that at all."

Midnight: [Annoyed] "She was exactly like tha--"

Midnight was abruptly silenced when she was punched right across the face by Mirko. The action was enough to shock everyone watching, even myself. But I wasn't really allowed to respond before Mirko kept talking.

Rumi: "I really wasn't! I-I know you tried your best...That's all that matters, right?"

(Y/n): [Surprised] "Um...Yeah? Totally! I mean, there's always next time!"

Rumi: [Smiles Brightly] "Right!"

The energetic nature in which Rumi now carried most definitely didn't go unnoticed by me. So what exactly could I say for everyone else gathered?

Kaminari: "...Mirko's acting really different, isn't she?"

Mineta: "...I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed."

Kaminari: "Is she sick? She has to be sick, right?"

Mineta: "She doesn't show symptoms of being sick."

Kaminari: "Maybe it's a sickness we don't know of yet."

Mineta: "Could be...Could be. Well, there's one thing we know for sure."

Kaminari: "Yeah...(Y/n)'s a lucky son of a bitch." [Turns to Mineta] "I mean, why does he always get with the hot girls--"

Kaminari was abruptly cut off by Tsuyu, who proceeded to slap the back of the boy's head with her tongue. Following this, a few minutes later, a smiling Rumi, an annoyed Midnight, and the rest of my class proceeded to turn around and exit the battlefield so they could get ready for their own fights to come. As for me, I went to join them. As I did, I spotted All Might leaving on the opposite side of the street. No words were exchanged, just a smile and a thumbs up from the teacher.

But in the end, that's all I needed to know he thought I did well. As for me, well, I didn't really know what to think of what just happened. Especially at the end with that strange feeling and red glow, I got in my legs. Actually, now that I think about it, it's not the only new feeling I've had lately. Like those black whips that came from my wrists during the Sports Festival and against Stain--And that strange feeling I get when I'm about to be attacked by some form of danger.

It all felt weird. Did it have something to do with my Nightmare Quirk? It couldn't be One For All, as All Might never showed any of those powers during his time of being a hero. In the end, I decided to forget about it for now and instead focus on simply improving as a hero. However, it seemed before I could do that, I still had one more thing to do. Something I was given a nod to seconds after this, when out of nowhere I was stopped by a familiar voice.

Uraraka: [Smiles Softly] "Looks like your fight was something, huh?"

(Y/n): [Looks Up] "Oh! Uraraka? Uh, hey! Um...Yeah! I guess? Haha..."

Uraraka: "Yeah...Uh, so! Are you okay? You're not hurt are you?"

(Y/n): "No. No! I mean...I'm a little sore. But not too bad..."

Uraraka: "Oh, cool...I mean, I'm glad!"

Now, I've never really been a man for social ques. Especially ones from girls. But even I could tell that right now Uraraka had something on her mind. The struggle on her face mixed with her frantic speaking was enough of a give away for that. I had planned to ask her if everything was alright, but before I could...It seemed Uraraka's mind had finally beaten down on her enough.

(Y/n): "Are yo--"

Uraraka: "I have something to tell you, (Y/n)!"

(Y/n): "O-Oh...Um, okay? Uh, is everything alright?"

Uraraka: [Sighs] "No...I mean, yes! Everythings alright! Between us, I mean! Argh! Look...Lately, there has been something on my mind, that I've been struggling to tell you, that I should have told you a long time ago."

(Y/n): "Oh..."

Uraraka: "And, I'm sorry from keeping this from you. I know...I know...I should have just said it as soon as I realized I was okay with it. But at first, I thought it should go one way, and they should tell you--But then I thought maybe it'd be easier if I just told you! And then I planned to just say it! But then I got worried that you wouldn't agree to it, and it'd make things awkward. But then I thought that if you didn't agree with it, I'd bring up the whole thing about Mirko kissing you and--"

It was when I heard that last part that I got really nervous.

(Y/n): "Um...Uraraka? What's going on?"

Uraraka: "It's just--I can't--ARGH! Why does this have to be so hard? I was so focused on it earlier that I thought I could just say it. But now that I'm finally here, it's so hard to spit it out. And all I want to is just say i--"

(Y/n): "Uraraka?!"

Uraraka: "YAOYOROZU AND HAGAKURE LIKE YOU! OKAY?! THERE! I SAID IT!"

(Y/n): [Confused] "Wha...What?"

Uraraka: [Sighs; Lowers Head] "...Yaoyorozu...and Hagakure, they...they like you. Like...Like you, like you...Like me."

(Y/n): "O-Oh, um...I'm sorry?"

Uraraka: "No. No. It's okay. I'm fine with it. Well, I mean...I wasn't at first. When I first found out Yaoyorozu liked you, I was mad. Me and her even started going at it during the Sports Festival."

(Y/n): "The Sports Festival?"

Uraraka: "Yeah. That's...That's where it all started. Yaoyorozu and I were partnered up because we didn't like the fact the other liked you. But then, over time, we got close. And we realized that the fact we both liked you wasn't out of a bad thing. But a good thing. I realized just how much you meant to her. After you saved her from Kaito, and continued to support her, she felt feelings for you that I can't really blame. And when I found out the reasons behind the passion she felt, I felt as if I couldn't be angry at her anymore."

(Y/n): "Oh, um...I see...But, wait, you said...Yaoyorozu and...Hagakure, right?"

Uraraka: "Yeah. It was when Yaoyorozu and I were working things out that Hagakure came up to us. Turns out she liked you too, even longer than I have. Apparently you saved her when she was a kid being bullied at a playground. She had feelings for you since then."

(Y/n): "Since...Then?"

The thought of such a thing struck me like a ton of bricks. I didn't know what to think, let alone say. I was thrown off enough by the fact that Yaoyorozu liked me. Well, I mean, that wasn't really a big surprise, I guess. I mean, we kinda did go on a date. But Hagakure? I mean, sure, again, she seemed pretty eager to be partnered up with me during the Sports Festival. But I just thought it might be because I was a pretty strong person. But I guess it goes back a whole lot more than that. In the end, I didn't really know what to think. All I could do was look down at Uraraka as I tried to process everything that was just said to me.

(Y/n): "Uraraka, I...I..."

Uraraka: "Look, (Y/n), I know this isn't fair on you. I just wanted everyone to be happy. But I was so focused on the happiness of Yaoyorozu and Hagakure, that I forgot about yours. I just thought a guy like you would immediately go for the chance of dating other girls. But seeing how you've been with Midnight and Mirko, and clearly being attracted to them and still not doing anything that wasn't against your will--"

(Y/n): "I'm not attracted to them! I swear! I-I'm attracted to you! Only you!"

Uraraka: [Blankly Stares] "Please, (Y/n). I may be a girl. But even I know what makes a boys mind tick." [Shakes Head; Smiles] "But...The point is, when I saw how you fought against Mirko and Midnight, I began to question if would even want to date Yaoyorozu and Hagakure in the first place. Then I got worried that I'd hurt them in the process. I was so thrown off I didn't know what to tell you. But...I guess this is the best I've got, huh?"

Following this moment, silent filled the surrounding area. It was only Uraraka and myself standing in the street at this time. Yet even if we were surrounded by so many others, it wouldn't have really felt any different. All I could do was stare at her, and her at me, as we both waited to see what would come out of this moment. I'd be lying if I wasn't thrown off by this all. It was definitely something I wasn't expecting the day to end with. Nevertheless, in this moment, all I could do was stare at Uraraka and question what she thought of it all. Eventually, as our eyes continued to stay connected, I knew that there was only one thing I could do to make her happy. Because at the end of the day, Uraraka's happiness is what mattered most to me...

--A Few Days Later--

"...And that's how I now have three girlfriends."

The words came from my mouth like any other. Though, still, just saying them sounded so weird, even as I sat in between the two bodies of Yaoyorozu and Hagakure on a bus set out for the campsite where our Training Camp over summer vacation would be held. But even with the two girls by my side, it didn't take away from the plethora of shocked faces that covered the view in front of us.

Kirishima: "Wait! Wait! Wait! So let me get this straight! (Y/n)...You're not just dating Uraraka, but also Yaoyorozu and Hagakure now?"

(Y/n): "...Yep."

Kirishima: [Turns to Uraraka] "And you're okay with this?"

Uraraka: [Smiles; Nods] "Uh, huh."

Ojiro: "But how can you be so calm about it?"

Jiro: "I know a ton of girls who'd be hesitant."

Uraraka: "I know, and I was at first. But over this time, I've grown pretty close with Yaoyorozu and Hagakure. And I'm fine with them sharing (Y/n) with me. I just want us all to be happy!"

Kirishima: "And you're happy about this?"

Uraraka: "Surprisingly, yeah! Besides, I know (Y/n) will care for us all equally."

Yaoyorozu: "Plus, Hagakure and I both agreed that, seeing as how kind Uraraka was for this, that we would willingly allowed (Y/n) to be with just her whenever need be."

Hagakure: "Yeah, I mean, it's the least that we could do!"

The two girls by my side merely nodded at one another, all before their eyes turned to me. Yeah...I was still getting used to all of this.

Kirishima: "Wow, man. I can't believe this..." [Grins] "I guess you just got even cooler, (Y/n)!"

(Y/n): "Hehe...I don't know about that."

Jiro: "Well, if you don't think so. Kaminari sure does."

(Y/n): "Huh? What do you mean?"

Tokoyami: "Kaminari is currently passed out in his seat from the sorrow he currently feels in his soul..."

Sero: "And Mineta is trying to help him wake up."

Near the front of the bus...

Mineta: "Denki! You have to wake up! It's okay! There's still, like, three or four girls in class you can get with! Not all hope is lost!"

Kaminari: [Deathly] "...Face it, Mineta, there's no point...(Y/n)'s just too cool. He'll take all the girls from me."

...Yeah, that was definitely something to be concerned about. However, there were certain distractions in life that took my mind off focusing on those things.

"All of you are acting surprised. But I'm not! I called it from day one that every girl in this class would fall ass over tits for my boy!" [Turns to you] "Ain't that right, best friend, (Y/n)?"

It was in this moment that I turned to the person sitting next to Uraraka in front of me. That person, of course, being Bakugo. Who smiled brightly as he put out his hand for a fist bump.

(Y/n): [Stares Blankly] "...Please don't say 'ass over tits' in the same question as a girl liking me ever again please?"

Bakugo: [Smiles Brightly; Retracts Fist] "10-4, good buddy!"

Yeah, that was another thing. Bakugo and I are friends again. And who knew! The petty blonde goofball that had been my best friend since we were kids, who got annoyed that I didn't tell him about being mentored by Mirko, could be swayed by a simple thing as telling him I had gotten with two other girls beside my girlfriend.

--A Few Days Ago | The Halls of U.A.--

The bell for lunch had just sounded, and like usual, I was headed to get some food. However, before getting food, I first needed to fix a problem that had surprisingly been pretty big lately. That problem, of course, went by the name of Bakugo, who still currently wasn't talking to me. But I intended to change that as we walked to the cafeteria.

(Y/n): "Hey, Bakugo! Wait up a second!"

Bakugo: "Huh?" [Turns around; See's you] "Oh...It's you."

(Y/n): "Hey, man. How's it going?"

Bakugo: "...What do you want, (Y/n)? I'm going to get lunch. Not more betrayal."

(Y/n): "Huh? Oh! Are you still being petty about the fact I didn't tell you about Mirko?"

Bakugo: [Yells] "I WASN'T BEING PETTY (Y/N)!!" [Looks away from you] "...And yes."

(Y/n): "...Huh. Okay. Cool. Well, look, I was trying to make amends because I had something to tell you. I thought it would cheer you up."

Bakugo: "What? Pfft! As if anything you say could cheer me up! I'm not that easy to work, (Y/n). I'm not a hooker."

(Y/n): [Raises Eyebrow] "Um...Okay?" [Shakes Head] "Look, I just wanted to say--and before I do, I know it's not much, and clearly you'd probably not like it--but I just wanted to say, that since yesterday...I am now dating Yaoyorozu and Hagakure, as well as Uraraka."

...It was in this moment...that my life changed for ever. It felt like time had stopped in place. Like all the seasons had swapped rapidly. Like a new episode of your favorite show had just came out. The point is, it felt like change had just taken place. And it felt even more like that when I turned to Bakugo to see that my best friend since I was young had now completely stopped moving. That was, until, his head slowly, very slowly, turned to face me once more as we stood in the hallway together.

Bakugo: "...Did you just say...You were dating girls other than Uraraka...?"

(Y/n): "Yep. Yaoyorozu and Hagakure."

Bakugo: "You mean...Princess and Caspet The Friendly Ghost...?"

(Y/n): "That's not their names, but sure! Yes! I am dating them as well as Uraraka. So...I basically have my own harem now. Like you wanted. I...I thought you would be excited for that. But if we're still not friends, I can just go find Kirishima and--"

Bakugo: "(Y/N) MIDORIYA! IT REALLY IS YOU!"

(Y/n): [Raises Eyebrow] "Huh?"

Bakugo: [Jumps slightly; Smiles Brightly] "It is you! I knew it! Haha! Man! It's been so long, best friend! I feel like I haven't see you in forever!"

(Y/n): "Um...What's going on?"

Bakugo: "A reunion between Best Bros, of course! Haha! What else? Haha! Anyway, enough of that, why don't me and you head to the cafeteria so you can tell your best bro about everything that went down between you and your...girlfriends...hehe...Yes! MY DREAM IS COMING TOGETHER QUICKLY!!!" [Turns around completely] "YOU HEAR THAT, SUCKERS?! MY BOYS CONQUERING THIS SCHOOL ONE GIRL AT A TIME! TELL YA MOM'S TO WATCH OUT! BECAUSE THEY'RE NEXT! HAHAHA!!!"

Now...If you ask me, that was probably a little too much. But, hey, look, Bakugo was finally back to normal. And I'd rather his 'normal' than repeatedly have him act like an ex whose break-up didn't go well. Besides...If I'm being honest, I'm a little excited myself at this whole...harem thing--Uh, um, yeah...no. I'm not calling it that. Ew! It just sounds gross saying it...Right?
