————— CELESTE JEFFERSON, born of prestige birth. Her mother; an Heiress of a wealthy family and father; a colonel in the US Army. Much was expected of the young woman; to be a proper lady for her mother and a scholar for her father. Her position required the upmost of her; until she found the freedom in exploring lost civilizations. Leaving the safety of her homeland, to uncover ancient artifacts lost from history.

Finding her calling as a Cultural Anthropologist was a transformative experience for Celeste. A path that resonated deeply within her, even if her mother held some reservations about it. The study of human nature and the diverse ways in which different cultures practiced and understood life fascinated her immensely.

Celeste's journey led her to China, where she immersed herself in the exploration of Chinese artifacts. Delving into the remnants of a civilization long gone, she unearthed stories and practices that had shaped the lives of countless individuals. Each artifact whispered tales of love, war, triumph, and defeat, serving as a reflection of the human spirit throughout history.

However, just as Celeste's passion for understanding ancient cultures was reaching its zenith, the harbingers of war began to cast their shadows. China found itself at the mercy of Japanese aggression, and the tranquil world Celeste had engrossed herself in was suddenly caught in the clutches of chaos.

Determined to make a difference, Celeste temporarily set aside her archaeological pursuits and delved into a different realm of exploration—Bearing witness to the atrocities, Celeste felt compelled to do something. So instead of furthering her studies as were promised to her by a trust fund, Celeste figured her memory and intelligence would be better served in the US military. Though it would be slightly tough as real life humans were much different than ones of old bones.

In her quest to make her father proud, she sought guidance from him and secured a coveted spot in flight school; specifically, the Women's Auxiliary Army Corps (WAAC). Life outside of the school was far from easy as the male counterparts did not seem enthralled to have her presence, subjecting her to constant belittlement. However, Celeste refused to be deterred and time after time, she proved herself.

Her outstanding skills and unwavering determination eventually led her to become a flight instructor and pilot for wounded transports. But as the battle ramps up in Europe, Celeste finds herself in a loop once a certain major in the army air corps sets his sights on her—one who is extremely curious.

Major Egan whole world turns around and he sets out on a mission that would intertwine his fate with Celeste's.

The two will learn to overcome ignorance with one another and the will to protect— especially when thrown into an unknown situation. With her friend's lives are out on the line and their wits are put to the test to protect the ones they care for ————

This is HISTORICAL FICTION ———-

     | HISTORICAL FICTION : is defined as movies and novels in which a story is made up but is set in the past and sometimes borrows true characteristics of the time period in which it is set. A novel that makes up a story about a Civil War battle that really happened is an example of historical fiction. |

     | FICTION VS FAN-FICTION: literature in the form of prose, especially short stories and novels, that describes imaginary events and people / fiction written by a fan of, and featuring characters from, a particular TV series, movie, etc. |

     | THE PLOT : Celeste is born with British and American Ancestry; but she chooses to stay with her father instead of her mother. For her role in the story, Celeste will be in the WAAC, with her roles being; training new pilots and riding on C-47's to the front for wounded and supplies. Women in WW2 weren't allowed on combat missions, however the closest they got was being flight nurses. And so Celeste will be loosely based off a 2nd Lt. Wittle, whom was a flight nurse.

     Louie's dad served on WW1 with Celeste's father, and her father saved his life. So now Louie feels compelled to protect her.
