sparks for the first time, your eyes as pure as the night sky

"Jelly," Love said, pointing to a mortal girl imbued with her aura, staring longingly at a boy talking with his friends. "I'll just make him fall in love or something, Lust gave me some tricks. You can take the blonde loner over there."

Jealousy perked up a bit at the pet name, although she still complained. "Stop telling me what to do," she muttered, changing into her human form and walking closer to the girl.

"Hi!" the sin greeted the girl, immediately all sunshine and rainbows. "I'm sorry if this is weird, but I've noticed that you're like, alone, but you keep on staring at that guy over there, and I just wanted to say that maybe you should ask him out before she does."

Right at the moment Jealousy said that, Love walked out of their hiding place—the dance machine. They were at an arcade, after all.

Jealousy raised an eyebrow at the virtue's outfit. Just seconds ago, Love was in her default clothes—a huge, puffy and obnoxiously pink lolita dress with stockings and shoes. She also had a bow around her neck and her hair down, wavy and adorned with ribbons.

Now she was in something slightly less obnoxious. An e-girl outfit.

Great, Love's seducing him. Remind me why am I playing the virtue again? Jealousy asked herself.

The blonde she had approached narrowed her eyes, her own aura and Wrath's aura blending in together in the girl. "Thank you for the information," she said, getting up and brushing a hand on her school uniform's skirt.

Jealousy took the girl's seat and smirked as she watched Love extract Lust-stained points from the boy.

The blonde Jealousy doesn't know the name of marched up to the pair. "Who the hell are you and why are you flirting with him?" she demanded to Love.

Love smirked, a cue for Jealousy to start obtaining her points. "He's cute, obviously that's why," she said, a hand on her hip. The boy's cheeks turned slightly pink, but he still raised his hands in a gesture of peace.

"I'm sorry, Juliette, why are you so mad? We're not even dating."

The girl—Juliette—turned slightly red. Love just watched her, arms crossed, closer to the boy than her.

"I-you-uh-it's-you know me?" Juliette floundered.

The boy raised an eyebrow. "Of course I do! We have bio, chem, drama, and literature together!"

"Oh my god, I can't believe Julian knows me!" the girl muttered under her breath. Love could hear it, but the boy couldn't.

Rabid should be here, Love thought. She glanced at Jealousy, who'd stopped collecting her points.

Frowning, she sensed for more of Jealousy's aura. Nothing. Love decided to take action.

"Are you done with your obsessing?" Love cut in, subtly moving closer to Julian.

Immediately, Jealousy perked up. Love watched out of the corner of her eye as she continued flirting with the boy even as she knows the boy is growing uncomfortable.

"Alright, then, I'll just leave you two to it," Love abruptly said when Jealousy got up from her seat. She ran off, leaving the two mortals confused.

The pair rejoined outside the arcade, Jealousy raising an eyebrow at Love. "Aren't you cold?" she asked.

"Fuck, I am cold," Love realized.

Jealousy rolled her eyes and pulled off her denim jacket, revealing a 3/4 sleeved t-shirt underneath it. "I came prepared," she winked.

Love took the jacket gratefully, regretting her choice in her outfit. Black short shorts. Black halter tank top. Fishnets. Combat boots. And a heart stamp on her cheek.

Truly the epitome of e-girl-ness.

And the epitome of e-girl-ness means being cold.

Jealousy shoved her hands into her skirt pocket and walked a bit more slowly. "Are we going back or are we doing something else?"

Love smirked, spotting a Starbucks and a Sephora right beside it. "Let's do something else."

Jealousy realized what the virtue was looking at.

"Are you going to waste points on makeup?" Jealousy asked, hands still on her pockets, staring up at the huge shop name spelled out near the ceiling.

"Hell yes I am." Love responded, looking up as well, letting the jacket hang on her shoulders without wearing the sleeves.

"Fuck yeah, now we're talking." Jealousy replied, looking down and to the left, to Love.

The pair walked into the makeup shop, politely smiling at the greeter. Love ran straight for the highlighter and blush department, while Jealousy lingered for a bit everywhere, trying this and that, swatches eventually covering her arms.

Jealousy finally settled on one (1) singular pink Glossier lip gloss. She walked away from the lip-paint section to Love, who was still firmly positioned in the highlighters and blush part.

When Jealousy arrived (the store was huge), Love was trying out a shimmery unicorn-like highlighter. Judging from the amused look from the nearby shop assistants and how shimmery her arms are, Jealousy figured out Love had been trying all variants of the unicorn highlighter stick.

"What do you think?" Love asked, jolting Jealousy out of her staring.

Jealousy blinked, then focused on the virtue's pink eyes. Half of Love's face was covered in pastel makeup swatches, and the other half is for emo and goth ones. Love pointed to her shimmery left cheek. "This one. What do you think of this one?"

Even in all of Love's makeup finding mishap, her face caked in makeup that doesn't match, and she looked like a clown, Jealousy still could appreciate her beauty.

And that's when she realized, fuck, I'm falling in love with love herself.

"Uh," Jealousy quickly said, not wanting to leave Love hanging, "it looks great on you, but then again, everything looks great on you."

Love grinned. "You're smooth," she decided, getting a pack of wet tissues for makeup removal along with the other shimmery unicorn-themed makeup in her basket. Jealousy placed in her lipgloss.

"So, we're done here, or?" Jealousy asked, her cheeks tinged with a slightly rosy tint.

"Sure, let's pay," Love said, pulling out a wet wipe and wiping her face even though she hadn't paid for it.

Her natural features popped out.

Jealousy couldn't stop staring.

Fuck, she's even cuter like this.
