i've learnt to lose you, can't afford to

"You're alive." he whispers.

The girl blinks confusedly. "Where am I?"

"Forest of the Pious," the boy muttered. "Now let's get out of here."

"I know this aura," the girl mumbled as the boy tried to scoop her up bridal-style. He barely succeeded. "I know your aura."

The boy tensed. "Talk later." he said stiffly, running into a green portal and closing it right after.

The pair materialized in front of a house, where four children ran out of the house, followed by a pair of teenagers (young adults?) and a motherly woman.

"You succeeded," the woman said warmly. "Are you okay, Envy?"

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine."

Rion immediately ran closer to greet newly-resurrected Kindness, the sister he never had.

Fraudulent adjusted her glasses. "Everything seems to be in order. How are you, Envy?"

"I'm perfectly fine."

"Bullshit," Arbitrous and Mischievous said at the same time.

Envy sighed as Rion's mom softly laughed. "Look, I'm just... tired."

"Envy?" Kindness asked. "You're... my rival?"

"Yes." Envy answered coldly. "You're alive now. Stay away from me."

He quickly ran off.

Kindness had a thousand questions inside her head.

Two of them being, didn't you hate me? Why did you go to such lengths to revive me?
