Jack tossed and turned in his bed. The wind howled from outside his window, indicating an oncoming storm. Groaning, he adjusted his pillow once again. "Fuck."

Flashes of Eddie ran through his mind, tormenting him with thoughts of how Eddie hated him now. He couldn't stand the thought of Eddie even disliking him.

"Damnit.. the one fucking time I wanna get some fucking sleep in this house." Jack grumbled, pushing himself up and raking his hands through his hair. "Ugh.."

He had no idea what could have possibly been keeping him awake, besdies the fear he felt from every shadow that cast itself over his closed eyes. He leaned over and picked up the alarm clock.

"Fuck.. how is it almost four?" Jack grumbled, roughly placing his alarm clock back on his bedside table, cursing when he knocked over a half full water bottle.

He rubbed his eyes, the purple bags feeling warm to his touch. His eyes stung as he let his body fall back onto the bed. He shut his eyes, forcing himself to keep them closed. To try and get some sleep. Any amount of sleep, no matter how scared he was. For Eddie.

Suddenly, an idea popped into his head. It was closure that he needed. Closure that Eddie didn't hate him. He tossed the covers over himself, moving his body so that his feet rested on the floor.

The sound of the crickets chirping outside filled his ears as he slowly stood from the bed after slipping on his shoes. Jack took steps towards his door, quietly shutting it behind him as to not wake his mom.

The TV blared in the living room, causing Jack to sigh in disappointment. "Shit."

Jack quickly walked down the hall, peering over the edge to check if his mom was still awake or not. The woman laid sprawled out on the couch, one foot propped on the coffee table, the other on the couch. She was still in her work uniform, indicating she had fallen asleep mere minutes after getting home.

He sighed in relief, quietly tiptoeing towards the door. He shakily raised his hand, cringing when the lock on the door squeaked. He turned his head, checking to make sure his mother was still fast asleep.

A sigh of relief passed lips when he saw her fast asleep still. He pulled open the door quickly, stepping outside into the chilled night air as he shut the door behind him. He turned his head both ways, though he wasn't sure what exactly he was looking for. The moment his feet hit the pavement of his sidewalk, he was off.

The moon illuminated his path as he ran towards Eddie's house. His heart pounded against his ribcage, screaming for him to stop, to turn back and go home, begging Jack to stop himself from causing anymore pain. He didn't stop. Jack pressed on, determined to apologize and to make things right with Eddie.

Jack's lungs burned as he ran, instantly making him regret skipping gym class more times than he could remember. The wind howled in his ears, almost trying to scare him off, but he didn't budge.

Beads of sweat dripped down his forehead as he turned onto Eddie's street, surprised at how quickly he had arrived at his house, the forth one on the left.

Jack showed down, coming to a halt and leaning againt the wall of his house as he gasped for air to catch his breath.

Jack slowly crept over to the window, raising his fist and knocking on it four times, their way of letting each other know it was them and not someone else.

Jack watched as Eddie adjusted in his bed, rolling over to see what was knocking on his window. Jack could barely make out the look of confusion appearing on his face as he tossed the covers over himself.

"Jack? What the fuck are you doing here?" Eddie whispered harshly, pulling open the window. Jack couldn't read how Eddie felt from his eyes. "Do you have any idea what my mom'll do if she catches me awake? Let alone near you?"

"I just wanted to make sure that you don't hate me, and I'm sorry." Jack spoke quickly, resting his arms on the windowsill, "I shouldn't have kissed you."

Eddie furrowed his eyebrows, his eyes scanning Jack's face. "I don't hate you, it's okay."

Jack smiled sadly, looking down at his hands as he fiddled with his fingers. His heart ached as he tried to hold back his tears.

"It kind of sucks that our first kiss happened like that." Eddie continued, a teasing smile brightening  his face.

Jack nodded in agreement, pausing in shock when he processed what Eddie said. "W-What?"

Eddie wouldn't admit it, but when Jack kissed him, everything in the world seemed right. Even with the danger of Pennywise being right there.

"Can we get a redo?"

Jack's mouth fell open as he looked up at him. "B-But... the germs?"

Eddie shrugged, "You're more important to me."

Jack grinned, nodding to himself as a form of self-assurance before standing on his tippy toes to reach him.  Eddie leaned down, making sure to hold onto something so that he wouldn't fall out of her window.

Jack eagerly connected his lips with Eddie's in a passionate kiss, moving both his hands to cup his cheeks Eddie's eyes fluttered shut, his mind not daring to wander towards the amazing of germs that he could be spreading.

Jack wore a shit eating grin on his face when Eddie pulled away. "Just like Romeo and Juliet, right?"

Eddie nodded dreamily, almost in a dazed state. "Which one of us is Romeo?"

"Are you asking me if I'm a top or a bottom?" The corner of Jack's lips turned up in a smirk.

"What? No!" Eddie shook his head no frantically.

"Chill out, dude, I'm just messing with you." Jack chuckled, winking.

Eddie's cheeks reddened, "O-Oh.."

"Can I come back tomorrow?" He asked, hopeful.

Eddie frowned, shaking his head no. "My mom'll see us. You can come back at night, all the time."

Jack nodded, standing on his tippy toes to press one short kiss to Eddie's lips, which turned into two longer ones.

"See you tomorrow night then, Juliet."
