Lavender yawned, shifting her weight from her left foot to her right foot as she listened to Stanley ramble about his plan.
"Okay, so.. The plan is quite simple." Stanley grinned, holing up two burritos. "First, we distract Whitaker with burritos. I'm gonna put them in the microwave and blast these bad boys up on high, and then.. Boom. Whitaker'll hear it an come running. When he takes off from the teachers' lounge, the coast'll be clear straight through the principal's office. Then, we'll make our move. Syd, you're the key man.. Key lady."
"Why am I the key lady?" Sydney asked, raising her eyebrows with a sigh.
"Because you're good with your hands." Stanley answered with a shrug.
"Ew." Sydney grimace, shooting a look at Lavender who had stifled a giggle.
"Dina, Lav, you guys are look outs." Stanley pointed at the both of them.
"Okay." Dina nodded, glancing over at Lavender who held a mischievous grin on her face.
"Oh, we're gonna be the best lookouts you've ever seen." Lavender grinned. "Right, Dina?"
"Right." Dina confirmed, looping her arm through Lavender's.
"Cool. So you guys are gonna keep eyes on Whitaker. The burrito bomb should keep him busy for a while. That man cannot resist a fire extinguisher. That should give us the time we need to get in. Burrito bombs are disgusting, last time I set one off, my whole house smelled like bean farts." Stanley shook his head, seemingly having flashbacks of the incident running through his head.
"Gross." Dina scrunched her nose up.
Stanley nodded, "Anything goes wrong, one of you signals us, and everyone take cover."
"Wow, this sounds like a great plan." Lavender pursed her lips, resting her foot against the locker as she crossed her arms.
"This is literally the worst idea I've ever heard." Sydney crossed her arms, shaking her head in disappointment.
"It's fair, it's totally fair.. Can you guys think of a better one?" Stanley rose his eyebrows, pausing as he waited for one of them to come forward.
"We take a really big rock and throw it through it at Jenny." Lavender clapped her hands together and pointed at Stanley. "No? No takers.. Okay."
"Okay, so, our best hiding spot's probably behind the old trophy case. And we wait for the smoke alarm. That should buy us more time, which we need.. because there is a shit ton of keys. Like, a metric shit ton. It's ridiculous." Stanley continued. "Once we're in, we head straight for the security system in the closet, and that's it. Whatever you do, do not panic, do not bail, or we are screwed."
"Noted." Lavender pursed her lips, "Got it. No panicking."
"Great, but what happens if our plan goes to shit?" Sydney asked, uncrossing her arms.
"It won't."
"But what if it does?"
"Improvise." Stanley shrugged.
"Hell yeah. I'm good at that." Lavender nodded with a grin.
"Perfect." Stanley gave her a thumbs up, "And if all goes well, as it should, we grab the footage, our sexcapade remains private, and no one gets expelled."
"This could go wrong in so many ways." Lavender hummed, a small grin creeping onto her face. "I love it."
~~
"I thought we were screwed." Stanley said breathlessly as he planted a kiss to the thumb drive and raising it to block out the lights.
"We were screwed, but holy shit.. we did it." Dina let out an unbelieving laugh. Lavender grinned, subtly inching her hand closer to Sydney's, longing to feel her soft hands against hers.
"Thank you guys. Seriously." Sydney said, tearing her eyes from Lavender's face. Lavender blushed, a nervous smile resting on her face.
"Anything for you, Syd." Lavender said, her voice lowering as she glanced down at the girl's lips. She pulled her bottom lip in between her teeth as she flickered her eyes back up to Sydney's. "Anything."
"Oh!" Stanley reached into his pocket and pulled out a small metal container. A smile formed on Lavender's face as her eyes landed on the joint. "Any takers?"
"Oh, fuck yeah." Lavender cheered, reaching over and plucking the joint from his fingers.
Dina's eyes widened as her mouth fell agape. "You're not serious."
Stanley nodded slowly, reaching over and lighting the joint that rested between Lavender's dark red lips, "Oh, yeah."
Lavender's eyes fluttered shut as she inhaled. "Oh, yeah. That's good."
Sydney laughed, taking the joint from her fingers. Dina watched in shock, nervous laughs leaving her mouth as she watched Sydney lift it to her lips. "Since when do you smoke weed?"
Sydney grinned, handing the joint to the girl, "Oh, come on, Dina. Everyone's doing it. Don't you wanna be cool like me, Lav, and Stan?"
Dina snorted, raising the joint to her lips as Lavender, Sydney, and Stanley watched in anticipation. Giggles slipped past Lavender's lips as she leaned on Sydney for support, "Oh, Dina, Dina, Dina, Dina.. Welcome to the beautiful world of marijuana."
"We.. should go back to the gym. I have to use the bathroom." Sydney said quietly, her eyes focused on the ceiling above them. Lavender nodded in agreement, pushing herself off of the cold tile floor. She extended her hand down to help Sydney up with a small smile, "Come on, Syd."
Sydney nodded her head with a laugh as Lavender held open the gym doors for her, "Thanks."
Lavender let out a dreamy sigh as she watched Sydney enter the bathroom. Stanley knitted his eyebrows together, slowly beginning to piece it together. It finally clicked when the door slammed shut after Dina entered the girls locker room, "Holy shit!"
"What?" Lavender tore her eyes away from the door. "What's wrong."
"You!" Stanley pointed at her, "You like Syd."
"No. No, I don't." Lavender shook her head no quickly, "Nope."
"Yes, you do." Stanley nodded quickly.
"No, I don't!"
"Yes, you do!"
"No, I do-"
"Babe, wait! Please. I swear to God, Syd's lying! Please! She's lying." Bradley's voice flooded the gym as Lavender quickly stepped to the side to let Dina pass. "You're not seriously breaking up with me right now!"
Lavender watched as Mr. Whitaker stepped to the side as Dina stormed out of the gym, "Hey! Which one of you punks eats burritos?"
Lavender cleared her throat, glancing at Stanley as she slowly walked over at sat beside Sydney. The man rolled his eyes, "All right, I don't know what the hell went on tonight, but I expect you all in my office first thing in the morning."
Bradley spun on his heel, stepping forward and setting a harsh glare on Sydney. "I offered you a truce, and you fucked it up. This is on you.. Remember that."
"Watch your fucking mouth, Lewis." Lavender snapped, standing up and glaring at him. "You go anywhere near Syd, and I'll shove my foot so far up your ass you'll taste your own shit."
Lavender flipped off the boy's back as he angrily left the gym. "Fucking ass clown."
"Ah, another day in paradise." Jenny said sarcastically, licking her teeth as she glanced at Lavender. "So, you wanna get wasted?"
"Not with you."
~~
"See, I told you spending time with me would make you feel better." Lavender grinned, sending a wink to Sydney, who sat in the bathtub with her legs hanging over the tub wall. Sydney rolled her eyes, fidgeting with the hem of her shirt as she watched Lavender apply the final stroke of green hair dye.
"Whatever." Sydney muttered, trying to hide the grin threatening to spread across her face.
Lavender grinned, turning her head to look at the girl. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw that Sydney already had her gaze set on her. Her heart skipped a beat as her lips parted. Her green eyes trailed over Sydney's body, landing on her lips. God, how she wanted to kiss her more than she wanted to do anything else. The girl gulped as she brought her lip in between her teeth and slowly walked over to sit beside her in the empty tub. Her legs hung over the edge of the tub.
"H-Hi." She exhaled shakily, a small smile resting on her face. Her heart hammered against her chest as Sydney smiled nervously at her. Lavender's face flushed as Sydney locked eyes with her.
"Hi." Sydney whispered, her nervous smile growing as she fidgeted with her fingers in her lap. Sydney took quick glances at Lavender, her heart rate increased when Lavender's eyes traveled down her face and locked on her lips. The now green haired girl gulped, inhaling sharply as she subconsciously scooted closer to her.
Lavender slowly raised her hand to rest on the crook of Sydney's neck. Sydney's heart fell to her stomach as she looked over at her, "What are you-"
Sydney's sentence was cut short as Lavender closed the gap between them. Pulling away quickly she glanced down at Sydney, silently asking for permission. Sydney nodded subtly causing Lavender to reconnect their lips. A sigh of contentment left her lips as Sydney deepened the kiss. Sydney's eyes fluttered shut and she smiled into kiss as Lavender leaned into the girl. Sydney slid her hand around to rest on the back of her neck.
Lavender let out a scream as she became soaked in the cold water pouring out from the shower head. "Syd!"
"I'm sorry!" She laughed, wiping the wet green hair from Lavender's face. "It's gonna stain."
"It better fucking not." Lavender scoffed through her laughter, brushing her fingers through Sydney's wet hair. The corner of Sydney's lips turned up in a smile as she leaned forward and reconnected their lips.
