"What can make me feel this way? My girl! My girl! My girl! Talkin' bout... my girl!" Primrose sang to herself, dancing around her room as she used her tv remote as a microphone. Her cat watched her curiously from her bed.

Primrose giggled, tossing her remote to the side as she picked up Santa and held her like a baby. "My girl! My girl! My girl!"

Her cat blinked curiously up at her as Primrose nuzzled her face into her cat's stomach. The buzzing of her phone caused her to stop mid spin, causing her to topple over. Santa let out a quiet meow as she ran towards her bed again.

Primrose pulled herself onto her bed from the floor and picked up her phone.

It's cool that you like blood witch

Primrose giggled as she moved to her back and smiled at the message.

We should make Syd listen to it when we hang out
Oh hey did you keep the coin? Its ok if you like threw it out or somethin lol

Primrose turned off her phone, dropping it on her chest as her car curled up next to her pillow. A large grin spread across her face as the phone vibrated against her chest.

Are you kidding? I'm keeping it forever

Primrose laughed as she rolled onto her stomach as the typing bubble appeared again.

You better.
I'll sick aphrodite on you if you don't

"You look like shit."

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, my dear Sydney." Primrose patted Liam on the head as she sat at the breakfast table.

Syd huffed, "But why do you look like that?"

"I was up all night long, you know.. That Stanley is really cool, actually. You should get to know him." Primrose shrugged, flipping her coin with her right hand while she ate with her left. "Tails."

"Is it tails?" Liam asked, stretching his body to see the coin. She smirked, handing the coin to Liam. A laugh slipped past her lips as he gasped excitedly. "It's tails!"

"It's the goddess Tyche molding her intuition with mine." Primrose shrugged, plucking the coin from his hands.

"Hey, Syd.. Do you think Banana Wigglesworth knows he's a hedgehog? And if he does.. do you think he likes being one?"

"I do." Primrose nodded, "Who wouldn't wanna be a hedgehog.. You know, if I could be any animal, I think I'd wanna be.. like, a parrot.. or a sea turtle.. or a Glorbanog." Primrose sighed, her eyes focusing on the cereal box.

"A wha-"

"Goob, trust me. Banana's proud to be a hedgehog. No question." Syd cracked a smile as she looked down at the toaster.

"Mom says if you stare at the toaster too long, it'll never like to pop."

"If I was a toaster.. I'd just.. not pop if they were watching me.. but the second they look away?" Primrose paused dramatically, "Boom! Toast is ready for eating.. I want toast."

"Yeah, well, see.. What Mom doesn't know is that I can don stuff with my mind." Syd raised her hand, pressing her fingers against her temple.

"Cool! Can I see?" Liam asked excitedly. Primrose leaned forward expectantly, tilting her head to the side. "Whoah!"

"If I could do things with my mind.. I'd probably bring a jellyfish to Stanley... and then I'd constantly have a flower with me.. even if I'm allergic..  Also, if I could do things with my mind? I'd pet Santa from school." Primrose exhaled as she stood from the breakfast table and walked into the kitchen.

"Didn't you wear that sweater yesterday?" Syd's mom asked as she opened the fridge.

"Yeah, Mom, I did." Syd said, a hint of annoyance in her tone. "'Cause I'm disgusting."

"I don't think you're disgusting.. beauty is in the eye of the beholder, my dear Sydney."

"Oh." Her mom mimicked as she pulled money from her pocket. "Listen, I need you to do some shopping for me today 'cause we're about to run out of everything."

"No, thanks."

"I can do it.. Maybe I'll see that pretty bird I nicnamed Davenport." Primrose offered, reaching past Syd and reading over it.

"Oh, Prim, you're fine. But, Syd, I wasn't asking."

"How am I supposed to bring all this home?" Syd asked as she took the list from Primrose's hand.

"However you got it home last time."

"So.. sexual favors with strangers.. got it." Primrose plucked the list from Syd's hands and slid it into her back pocket.

"Hilarious." Her mom rolled her eyes, shaking her head.

"Come along, my dear Sydney, we'll be late."

"Hey, change your sweater, Sydney. You're making me look like a bad mom! And I'm a friggin' good mom."

Sydney scoffed as the door shut behind her, "Late for what?"

"Why, late for life itself, of course." Sydney hummed, tossing the coin in the air and catching it. "Heads."

"You're one strange, strange girl." Syd shook her head, watching as Primrose  gazed at the sky and tossed the coin, mumbling heads or tails to herself.

"Strange people invent the best things.. Like, Steve Jobs was on weed when he founded Apple.. in a garage.. You see, if we were all a little stranger the world would be a lot better." Primrose hummed, spinning away from Syd and into the grass. She leaned down and plucked a flower from the ground. "This is a strange flower.. I like it."

Syd sighed, shaking her head as Primrose sneezed, tucking it behind her ear. She excitedly skipped over, waving to the person who was driving the car as she passed it. She came to a stop beside Syd, "Oh, I'm sorry, did you want one?"

"Uh, no. No, that's okay.." Syd shook her head, her eyebrows knitting together as the car stopped infront of them.

"Hey, Syd! Hey, Rose.." Syd shook her head, greeting him as he slowly and awkwardly rolled down his car window. "Hey.. You look tired. I told you to go to sleep last night."

"We have our entire lives to sleep, my handsome Stanley. But we could never get that precious time back if we wanted to." She hummed, looking up at the sky and pulling the coin from her pocket and tossing it in the air. "Heads."

Stanley's eyes softened and his cheeks dusted a pink color from the nicname. "U-Uh.. You guys goin' to school?"

"If you think about it.. We're always in school."

"Yup.." Syd nodded awkwardly, as Stanley drummed his fingers against the steering wheel.

"Yeah, yeah.. me too."

"Want a ride?"

Primrose nodded excitedly, pulling open the car door and getting in the back. "My sweet Stanley.. are these my shoes?"

"Ye-Yeah, um, they looked expensive so.. I decided to get them for you.."

"I'm kind of glad, because these are actually my favorite pair and I was kind of sad.. Thank you!"

Syd huffed as she clipped her seatbelt in, "Why'd you throw them then."

"Oh, my dear Sydney.. They're just a pair of shoes." Primrose explained, focusing her eyes out the window. "They were missed, and now they're back. But it wouldn't have been the end of the world if they didn't return to me."

"But.. you just-" Syd watched in confusion as Primrose bobbed her head to the music, drumming her fingers against her boots

"Saddness is only temporary, my dear Sydney. Sadness is only temporary."
