Primrose sighed, her head hanging upside down from her bed as she stared at the wall. Santa curled up beside her, purring as he nuzzled into her.

Her phone began vibrating, causing Santa to jump and hiss at her stomach. Primrose lifted the phone from her stomach, knitting her eyebrows together as she sat up.

Dear Sydney 💙

"Hello?" Primrose raised the phone to her ear, blinking rapidly as the room began to spin from sitting up so suddenly.

"I'm sorry." Sydney said quickly, "I-I.. I'm just so fucking sorry, Prim. You deserve so much better than me as a friend and.. I-I.. I'm a shitty friend and I'm so fucking sorry, and I'm so fucking pissed at myself-"

"Everyone makes mistakes, dear Sydney.. It's a part of life." Primrose said quietly, "It's a part of life. Mistakes make us who we are, and it's how we deal with our mistakes that defines us. Our mistakes don't, so why should this one define you?"

Syd stayed silent, not sure what to say. She didn't feel she deserved Primrose's forgiveness, so she wasn't sure why she was even asking.

"Are you mad at me?"

"Anger is pointless." Primrose responded, scratching Santa behind the ear as he nuzzled his head into the palm of her hand. "I forgive you."

She was hurt. She was never mad at Sydney, she didn't get mad easily. Primrose truly did believe that problems could be solved by anger.

"There's no reason to spend my time being mad at you." Primrose continued, standing from her bed and walking over to the window. "I'll see you later, dear Sydney."

Primrose tossed her phone onto the bed, not taking her eyes from Stanley's car that had just pulled into her driveway.

"Primrose! Who's pulling into my driveway?" Her mom's voice rang out up the stairway. Primrose sighed, spinning on her heel and leaving her room.

"It's just Stanley, mom." Primrose replied, waving off the woman as she looked up from her computer.

Primrose's mom worked from home, while her dad went out and worked at the police department.

"Hm.. Okay." She said shortly, looking back to the screen. Primrose sighed as she pulled open the front door, revealing Stanley with his fist up, ready to knock.

"Oh! Primrose, hello. It's me.. But you know that because you have pretty eyes. Wait, I didn't mean... I didn't mean to say that out loud." Stanley rambled, swallowing thickly as he lifted his sunglasses from his face and onto his hair.

Primrose hummed in acknowledgement, her heart skipping a beat when he called her eyes pretty.

"I-I.. I, uh, I just came by to.. to.. Can I come in?" Stanley looked around her living room as Primrose stepped aside to let him in.

"You have a nice home." He complimented, watching as Primrose silently walked towards the stairs, motioning for him to follow her.

"Thank you.. what was his name again? Stanley." The woman's voice faded as Stanley stumbled, trying to follow Primrose up the stairs.

"You have a.. very nice room. It suits you." Stanley compliment, his eyes trailing to Primrose as she seated herself on her bed, her eyes focused on the ceiling.

"Thanks." Primrose muttered, glancing at him. He stood in the center of her room. Stanley awkwardly patted his thighs as he he stared at Primrose.

"Are you.. Are you okay? I-I don't like to see you sad.." Stanley slowled walked over, seating himself on her bed beside her.

"I'm okay, my sweet Stanley, I'm okay." Primrose replied, closing her eyes and inhaling deeply.

Stanley frowned, straightening his back as an idea popped into his mind. "Can, I, uh.. See your phone?"

Primrose turned her head to look at him, raising her eyebrows in confusion. "My phone?"

Stanley nodded, holding out his hand as he waited. Primrose shrugged, reaching over and tossing him her phone before spreading her arms out beside her.

Stanley unlocked her phone, a large grin spreading across her face when she saw that her lock screen was a picture of them.

He opened the spotify app, scrolling until he found the playlist Glorbanog and clicking on it.

The music played through the speaker as Stanley stood up from her bed, causing Primrose to sit up and look towards him.

She knitted her eyebrows together, shaking her head as she watched as Stanley danced wildly around the room, singing badly to the song playing.

She covered her mouth with her hands as Santa looked up, blinking at Stanley before lazily resting his head on his paws.

"Wake me up.. before you go go!" He shouted, spinning around and shooting finger guns at her. "Cause I'm not plannin' on goin' solo!"

Stanley wanted to cheer her up. He liked seeing Primrose happy, and he loved the grin she seemed to always wear.

She watched Stanley dance out of the room, nearly making a fool out of himself as he tried his best to wipe the frown from her pretty face.

Stanley thought that Primrose was immensely pretty. He'd call her beautiful, but he knew that she liked the word pretty more. She found it more innocent and kind.

"Yo-You look really pretty." Stanley complimented, stopping in his tracks as the song came to an end.

Primrose grinned, dropping her hands in her lap. "Thank you, Stanley."

Primrose's heart leaped as the familiar opening chords of her song played through the speaker.

"Dance with me?" Stanley extended his hand as the song changed to Primrose's favorite. "I-I mean.. Only-Only if you want to.."

Primrose chuckled, biting her lip to hide the smile from Stanley. "I'll always dance with you, my sweet Stanley. Always."

Stanley smiled as the memory of her trying to teach him her favorite dance flashed through his mind.

Stanley smiled, pulling her from her bed. "I can't dance, though.. Y-You probably already... uh, already knew that, though."

"I liked it." Primrose smiled, laughing as Stanley dipped her, stumbling back when he pulled her up. "I guess you say-"

"What can make me feel this way? My girl." Stanley sang as he pulled back from Primrose, not letting go of her hands as he spun her in a circle.

"My girl! My girl!" Primrose joined in, all her previous feelings of hurt going out the window as she sang with Stanley.

"Talkin' 'bout.. my girl!" Stanley sang, pulling his hands from Primrose's and pointing at her. "My girl!"

Primrose laughed, joining in and spinning in a circle as she belted out the words.

As the song came to an end and Primrose turned around, out of breath with a grin on her face, Stanley's heart skipped a beat.

"I-I.. Uh, I brought you something.." Stanley said awkwardly, clearing his throat as he opened his jacket pocket.

Primrose giggled as he revealed a tulip in his pocket. He pulled it out, cursing when the coin she had given him fell out.

"Is.. is that the coin I gave you?" Primrose asked, leaning down and examining it before placing it in the palm of his hand.

"Yea-Yeah, I, uh.. I keep it there.. So it's close to my heart." Stanley said awkwardly, patting the wrong side of his chest. "Huh.. no heartbeat-"

"Oh, sweet Stanley." Primrose sighed, moving his hand to the right spot. "There it is.. your beautiful heart beating."

"Bea-Beautiful?" Stanley pulled his lips inbetween his teeth as Primrose smiled, looking up at him and nodding.

"Beautiful." Primrose confirmed with a smile as she slowly pulled her hands from Stanley's chest and rested them by her side. Her breathing slowed and time seemed to stop around her as she locked eyes with Stanley.

Stanley's face began to redden as she took the yellow tulip from his hands.

Being with Primrose felt easier than it did with Syd. He felt calmer. He liked how he felt when he was with Primrose, he liked how she made him feel. He thought that it was Syd that be liked for so long, but the previous night had him reconsidering that.

It didn't feel how he thought it would feel. It almost felt forced to him, on both ends.

"He-Hey.. Um, so, there's this.. this party tonight. Ricky Berry's.. And, uh.. I'm going.. so.."

Primrose nodded slowly, tucking the flower behind her ear as he shoved his hands in his pockets.

"And.. and I was wondering.. if maybe you'd like to go?" He finished, clearing his throat as he watched Primrose's facial expression change. "With me.."

"A party? I've always wanted to go to a party, I think it would be pretty nifty." Primrose hummed, walking towards her closet and opening it. "If you were a flower, what would you be?"

"Uh-"

"I think you'd be a.. a Golden-rayed Lily." Primrose spun around, holding up the astronomical embroidered jeans to her body. She hummed, nodding to herself and walking into her closet, leaving a crack so that she could still hear Stanley.

"A Golden-rayed Lily?" Stan hummed, looking at the mythology art on her wall.

"Mhm.. If I were a flower do you know what I would be?" Primrose slipped the dress over her head as she sifted through her tops.

"A Primrose?" Stanley had a teasing undertone in his voice as he ran his fingers along a Polaroid of Primrose and Dina smiling and holding popsicles. "Or a tulip? I know those are your favorite."

A laugh passed Primrose's lips as she shimmied the jeans up her legs. "No, no.. I'd be a carnation."

Stanley smiled, as he turned his head towards the nearly closed door. "You'd be the prettiest carnation in the world."

Primrose blushed as she pulled the burnt orange crop top over her head. "I think you'd be a Golden-rayed Lily because they're.. they're pretty nifty and.. they're the ones in my garden outside."

Primrose flipped the light off, walking out of the room and smiling at him as she walked past to do her makeup.

"You look really.. really pretty.. I like the outfit. It's a neat vibe." Stanley commented, leaning against the wall as he watched Primrose apply her makeup.

Primrose grinned, sheepishly looking down at the brush she held in her hands. "You wanna get milkshakes after?"

Primrose laughed, nodding her head excitedly. "Hell yeah."
