"I GOTTA THANK YOU, MAN, for slippin' ten k. now my girl came to mexico just to come and say hey!" alex sang out in his autotuned voice to dream as he sat on his gaming chair in front of his setup.
you on the other hand were seated beside him on a random chair, covering your face with your hand to stop yourself from bursting out laughing.
you and alex were on a call with your friends - dream, sapnap, and george. it was just a casual day for roasting and making fun of each other all the while enjoying each other's company. happy wouldn't even begin to describe the feeling you had. these were four of some of your favorite people in the world hanging out with you. what more could you want?
"my girl?" sapnap teased as the dream team all chuckled in their own ways.
you cocked an eyebrow, crossing your arms over one another. "and what about it?"
george asked, "are you guys a thing now or something?"
"yeah, i'm his bitch."
"WAIT," alex rose up his hand in a 'stop' gesture, cracking up, "WHY DID YOU SAY IT LIKE THAT, Y/N-"
"fine, then, alex is my bitch," you quickly said with a slight smirk tugging at your lips.
alex finally declared, nodding his head up and down like what he was saying was the most important decision ever made, "we're each other's bitches."
dream started wheezing from alex saying it so solemnly, whilst trying to ask the two of you something. his words came out in a blur but you knew clay long enough to know exactly what his gibberish means. "are you guys trying to tell us something?"
your eyes widened as you looked away from the webcam. great you just gave yourself away. thank god none of you was streaming to thousands of people, you would've been destroyed.
dream, sapnap, and george collectively gasped at your actions, bombarding you and alex, who was oddly quiet, with questions and statements like, "are you two dating", "are they finally a thing", "shut up, daiisity is canon?!"
you turned your head to find alex's brown eyes staring at you. if you weren't paying attention, you wouldn't have noticed the glimmer his eyes displayed, the same glimmer he has when he's excited about something, the same glimmer he had when he was introducing you to his family, or when you first told him you liked him.
two weeks of your trip to mexico to see alex slipped away like the clear waters of a waterfall. now you were spending the last day with him on a call with your closest friends. you wished you could spend more time with alexis but it was time for you to go. really the only thing holding you back from staying a little longer and delaying your flight back home was the fact that alex had promised to visit you soon.
the two of you weren't exactly a thing yet, but the acknowledgement of your feelings that you had for each other was enough to gain the trust that there was a possibility. a possibility you will be together soon enough.
a sweet smile spread across your face looking at him, you could tell he wanted to tell the guys about the two of you, he was too excited for his own good.
what's the harm? they are our best friends after all.
you quickly lifted your hand and cupped his face, placing a quick peck on his cheek with your soft lips. you could very well tell how much that action shocked him as much as it shocked the guys.
"i guess you could say we're something," you slyly said, looking back at the pc that displayed the voice call. a small snicker escaped your lips before you placed your hand on the mouse and left the call.

"THIS IS THE FINAL BOARDING CALL FOR FLIGHT. . ."
you tuned out the rest of the announcement, dreading the knowing feeling that you were going to leave mexico soon.
with the handle of your suitcase gripped in one hand, you turned to look at alex who was sitting right beside. it wasn't like the two of you would never see each other again, but he still wanted to be there with you till the very last minute. alex's smile made your stomach do a somersault.
"i'm gonna visit, y/n, don't you forget!" he said enthusiastically, until his voice fell down a few octaves, "uh, by the way, i wanted to give you something, before you left..."
you tilted your head to the side a little. "you know you didn't have to get me anything, right?"
"yeah, but..." alex unzipped his backpack that sat on his lap and pulled out a yellow ball of fluff. studying it more carefully, you realized what it was.
a stuffed animal of a cute yellow duck with two beady little eyes, an orange beak, and a tiny tuff of white hair on it's head as it was in a sitting position. what was really endearing though, was that it was holding a couple of felt-made daisies that was stitched onto one of its wings.
you swear you might actually explode from all the adorableness as you took in the image of alexis holding out the little duck in his hands for you.
"daisies . . . ?"
FIN.
