"Day-dreamer! Do you have a dream catcher at home? 'Cause store your dreams for home so that you may pay attention to school, Sere!" Dawn whined and punched the dream girl playfully.

"And what about your dreams Dawnie? I see you staring at someone all dur- mph! mmuph! munphh!!" Serena was stopped from continuing any further by Dawn as she slapped her hand across Serena's face.

"You say a word and you are dead!" She hissed as a dark tint of pink spread across her cheeks.

The gang was enjoying lunch in the cafeteria. After escaping P.E., Serena and Dawn headed off to the cafeteria where they met the boys. After complaining about the ruthless and tiresome activities they were made to perform, the group sat down on a table and started their usual routine of embarrassing each other.

Ash was laughing at the two girls' actions as Gary had a frown on his face.

"Jealous?" Ash smirked and again fell into a fit of laughter as he saw Gary blush.

 "You will pay once I find your dream girl, Ketchum." Gary growled. 

This led to Ash choking on his own saliva and giving Gary a 'what do you mean' look. Dawn and Serena recovered too and sat there observing the cold war between the mahogany and the raven boy.

"Dream girl? So you have one Ashy boy?" Dawn raise an eyebrow and looked at him curiously. 

"I wanna know too!" Serena exclaimed as she scooted towards Ash a little.

"Uh-I don't have one..." Ash mumbled as he tried to calm the sudden increase in his heart rate. This was the Serena effect on him. It was nerve wrecking. He couldn't even complete sentences in front of her. The honey blonde girl was a sudden turn in his life. And all because of a pendant.

"Your blush says something else." Serena whispered and smiled.

And that was just the energy boost required by Ash to start rambling about his love.

His love - Serena.

"She is gorgeous. She has pretty eyes that would require a map to get out of them. Well I actually require a map because they are so mesmersizing. A mesmerizing smile, that always boosts you up and makes your day. Beautiful short hair, that could become my cushion during sleepless nights. But I would love to make them my permanent cushion. A laugh that is music to ears. Skin that is pale but just a gentle touch could heal your wounds." And so Ash rambled on and on. During this whole time, he had his eyes shut and was imagining Serena's face. His hand slowly slipped into hers. Serena squeaked quietly at the sudden touch. As Ash continued his grip tightened as if he never wanted to let go. He was so enchanted that he didn't notice how he kept his head on her shoulder. Serena didn't move either. She wanted to see the effect that this girl had on him.

"...she is best thing that happened to me. The star in my little world."

At this Serena jerked a little, causing Ash to regain consciousness. Ash looked at the positions he was in. His head was on her shoulder, hand intertwined with hers. He sat straight back up and looked over at Serena. She was shivering but not from cold. But from shock and fear.

What did I do?

"S-star? She is your star?" Serena muttered.

"N-n-not just that, she is my universe. My everything. She is the meaning to my life, Serena, she is. I love-"

"Who is she? Who is the girl who caught your eye without even trying while I ran behind you since the first day we me?" Serena hissed quietly which was only audible to Ash.

Serena didn't know. But she is indirectly stopped Ash from confessing.

Ash froze. Serena stood up excusing herself, saying that she needed some time alone. She ran away, while Ash simply sat there looking at her back. Suddenly his phone buzzed.

Sere: What do you do when you realize that you love someone else but can't get your previous crush out of your head?

Serena relied on Keta for her problem. This made Ash smile faintly.

Keta: Talk to your love about it...

But it also broke Ash knowing that his dream girl loved someone else. 

Sere: Can I call you?

Keta: Sorry but no.

Sere: Just acknowledge me while humming or something. I want you to listen.

Keta: Okay.

And withing moments his phone rang showing a beautiful picture of Serena he secretly took during the other day.

"K-Keta?"

"Hmm..."

"K-Keta! I--I...What should I DO???!?! I know I love someone but he just doesn't disappear out of my mind. When I finally thought I forgot about Ash, he just talked about his love and it totally crushed me. Because I WAS THE ONE WHOM HE HELD ALL THE TIME!!!"

Ash could hear Serena's voice echo. This meant that she was in a big hall or something. But why would she go there?

"He-He...he held my hand and kept his head on my shoulder. Keta he- he seemed so-so mesmerized by that girl. He didn't realized that he was so close to me. So close."

Serena's voice dropped down to a mutter. Ash mentally scolded himself. What did he do? Serena is crying, screaming and shouting because of him and to him. She is sharing the problem about him, with him. She is complaining against him and to him.

"Ash is after a girl who doesn't return his feelings. He is in love with a girl who doesn't notice him. Similar to what used to happen to me."

Ash's brows scrunched up.

What did she mean by that?

"I was like a cat, Keta. A cat. A cat who's senses betrayed it. I was so infatuated with Ash Ketchum that I never realized that I was just running after my own tail. I was like a selfish devotee who worshipped her God but never got anything from him. Not even the slightest acknowledgement."

Ash could feel the anger rising in her. She was just spitting venom. But he decided to listen anyways.

"And now Ash is that cat, who chases its tail. I hope he realizes this soon and stops being blind."

But still Serena just had sympathy for all. She was worried about him. Ash had tears at the brim of his eyes. Another word and they will flow freely.

"I am worried about him."

Her voice cracked. And the first tear rolled down Ash's cheek.

How can he bring comfort to the person he himself hurt?

"K-Keta! You know me! You know me the best. Please come here and just--comfort me! You are the only one who knows how to do that!! Keta please...." Serena's voice died down as she sobbed.

"Where?" Ash spoke, trying to prevent his voice from cracking. He kept in mind to deepen his voice and to try to change it a little. He didn't want her to know, yet.

"K-K-Ket-Keta??!! Keta, I am in the school gym. Please come here and help me Keta."

Ash hummed in response and cancelled the call. He dashed off to where his love called him.

The Gym.

Keta: I will be entering from the back door. Face towards the stands. You will know when I enter.

Sere: Thank you.

Serena did as he said. She faced the stands. She was scared. She had calmed down knowing Keta will be there soon. Also, it calmed her when she heard his voice. It was obvious that he faked it. But still, he risked his identity for her.

As she looked up at the stands, memories flashed in front of her.

Three days ago. Three days ago there was a basketball match and she, Dawn along with Gary and Ash came to watch it. She was among the loudest who cheered and Ash mocked her by calling her childish but a cute childish. She flushed at that time and Ash blushed too, realizing what he said. And then during the whole match Gary and Dawn made fun of them. 

Four days ago. Four days ago, Ash and Serena had to complete a project. They both sat in the library and vowed to compete it. But they soon began talking, chatting, discussing and giggling. They were then thrown out of the library by Mrs. Norrice. They then went to a public park but a fare caught their eye and they dashed off to enjoy childhood. Well, they submitted their project a day late and were then given detention with Ms. Frost. But she wasn't the punctual one so their detention finished with lots of laughter and debates.

Five days ago. Five days ago she and Ash were making fun of Dawn and Gary. They mocked them with their obvious crush on each other. But it all fired back when Dawn started rambling about Serena's talks with Keta. Dawn said how she praised Keta and stuff. This made Serena blush ruby red and flustered Ash too. But for Serena, Ash seemed sick.

And within this one week, Serena learnt so much. Love. Friendship. Crush. Happiness. Sadness. Kindness. She thought that her life was set after all. But then Ash and his- love. 

Serena broke down crying again but before she could hit the ground, two warm and comforting arms grabbed her and pulled her back up. They turned her around and Serena was pulled into a strong, muscular chest.

"Shhhhh...its alright." A voice muttered.

Serena heard it and she clutched the person tightly and hugged him. She then let it all out. All her tears.
