I ended up going with your second idea—your OC showing off their powers in the Upside Down. Honestly, I think I crushed the coloring and nailed the positioning you had in mind. Full disclosure: I'm not super familiar with the Scarlet Witch, but after a quick crash course (and some "red-hand-thingy" research), I ran with it.
