Clara's POV
'Clara--?!' Ash begins as I sprint into the diner.
There are only a few customers left since it is about nine at night, and Ash is just cleaning up. I race to the back room and tumble inside, stumbling upon our control room. But I don't stop there.
Like any TARDIS, this ship has mazes of different generated hallways. Running out of the control room, I make my way down the hallway, taking a right, then another right, then a left, a left, right, left, left, right, and so on, until I almost forget where I'm going. Not knowing where I am, I rush into a random room and bang the door closed behind me, exasperated.
Leaning against the door, I slide down onto the floor and bury my face in my hands. Tears start streaming down my cheeks. I'm not sad or angry, just confused.
Does Sherlock have feelings for me? No. That's impossible. Although the cabbie had said he did. But why should I trust him?
Do I have feelings for Sherlock? No. Maybe? Yes... but I can't. I'm the impossible girl, one of the immortal ones. And he will die someday, anyway. So even if it did work out... but whoa, Clara, you're getting way ahead of yourself. But that was why she decided to protect Sherlock, right? Yes. Subconsciously, but yes.
Finally, I look up and notice where I am. Just like the Doctor's TARDIS, Ash and I have a closet room, too. Sure, it isn't as full as his, but it is definitely not empty. I have every outfit I've ever worn in here, and so does Ash. Having sorted most of my thoughts out, I decide to head back. Maybe I'll spend the night here. Realising I am basically lost in a maze now, I pull out my phone and call Ash.
'Hey?' she picks up.
'Hi. Um, I seem to have gotten lost in our TARDIS. Could you delete the closet room?' by deleting a room that contains a living creature, the creature gets sent back to the control room.
'Aww, really Clara? Can you go to a different room instead?' she complains.
'Fine,' I say, and make my way across the hall to the next room. I find myself in my extra bedroom. 'Okay, then. Delete my second bedroom. I didn't ever use it much anyway.'
''Kay,' she says and I hear her turn some wheels. I hang up on her and close my eyes. The transportation is always worse when your eyes are open.
Finally, I open them again and see the familiar face of the control room. Ash is by the console. A couple years ago Ash and I changed the interior look of our TARDIS. The floor now has a metal hexagon pattern and there is a second level. The design was partly inspired by the Eleventh Doctor's TARDIS, and the centre of it looks like a lava lamp. The top of the console is a cone shape split into four parts, each rotating on their own. Each section generates a series of binary code constantly, like 01000100 01101111 01100011 01110100 01101111 01110010 00100000 01010111 01101000 01101111 00111111.
Ash is a good enough friend not to ask many questions about my hurried entrance; she probably just assumed I was running from some alien.
'Ash, could I stay in the TARDIS tonight?' I ask.
'Duh. Of course! This is our TARDIS. You don't even have to ask. Oh, and by the way, I have something to show you. Would you like to see it?'
'Sure,' I respond, and she starts down the hallway.
