Kaylee posses multiple abilities. She has been born with them. Unlike Eleven she didn't gain them in some lab. She was born with them and has been struggling to control them since she was little.
↳Telekinesis. Kaylee has the ability to throw things around without even raising one finger. However, the heavier something is, the more energy it takes to move something. It also takes a great amount of control too keep something in the air and though she might let it look like it's nothing, she will be exhausted after she's done.
↳Spell casting. Like most witches she can cast spells. She has an old spell book hidden in her attic where she keeps all her spells. Sometimes she just needs to whisper a word but much more often she needs things like a tear of regret or a baby's first laugh to do something more powerful.
↳Emotion manipulation. This is maybe one her most used abilities. She has the talent to feel the emotions from people around her, and to manipulate them. No, she can't make you feel a certain way. She can't make you love her or even like her, but she can push you in a certain direction. If you do not fight against it, she can calm you or mess you up. She often uses this power to keep people from fighting or get out of trouble. Her mother often scowls her because of this.

Kaylee is a little ray of sunshine. Her smiles brighten up your day. She's always like that. Smiling, cheering people up. It's like she's an undying ray of cheerfulness. People tend to flock around her, attracted to her friendly smile and upbeat behaviour. It isn't hard to like her. She just seems to be friends with everyone. Even those cold and closed off, often seem to enjoy and if not enjoy tolerate the brunettes company. Of course there are people who do not enjoy her company, no one pleases everyone. Some find her smiles fake or think she's too friendly. Too blubby. She doesn't blame them. It's fine that people don't like her, as long they don't bother her. She always puts the needs of other before her own. It feels better that way. You won't stop Kaylee without a smile. She is always happy, even when things don't go according to plan. It's like all the sadness and darkness of the world do not have affect on her. Even when you don't know her, she will always give you a sweet smile. She's that girl that volunteers to work with the loner, just because she doesn't want them to feel lonely. She's the one who is a listing ear to everyone.

Kaylee is also, like you might suspect, a huge optimist. Though not in the way you might think. She's going tell you all is rainbow and sunshine, she knows better than most that live isn't only rainbow and sunshine, but she will look at the better part. You have little money? Well at least you look beautiful, you could always start stripping. Of course, not the best option, but there are worse. That is what she keeps telling herself. You need to look at the bright side of life, or else everything will be a hell. Though she has a strong dislike for people who always force you to be happy with yours situation, yes she's positive, but that doesn't mean you need to accept everything. Just because things could be worse, doesn't mean it can't be better. If you aren't happy with how things are, change them. Do what you want, make yourself happy. Those are the mottos she lives by. Kaylee does her best to always make people happy, give them advice and do whatever she cans to help people. Many call her selfless but she laughs that away. She isn't really selfless. She helps people because that is what makes her feel good.

Kaylee is a push over. She tries to stand her ground, but she often lets people walk right over her. Mostly her family and friends. They are so used to her taking care of others putting their needs before her own, that sometimes they forget she has a mind and a will of her own too. Kaylee usually lets them. It's hard to stand up to those you care about, especially when they didn't want to hurt you. She bottles all her negative emotion up. This mentally exhausts her and once a while it gets just too much. Those moments are the worst. She feels like she can't breath. She locks herself away or lashes out to people she cares about. Those panic attacks are often triggered by something that caused an negative emotion, like the sound of a knife on a board after she repeatedly told her little brother to knock it off, or when she hears an angry voice on the tv. Despite all the negative emotions and sometimes unawareness of her feelings, she's protective over her family. She won't let anyone say a bad word about them and will always have their backs. Though she isn't afraid to scowl them or point out their mistakes when she believes they made one.

Kaylee was born on a stormy night in December 1963. The wind was howling outside, but nothing could cover the wailing sound of Mercy Spencer. The birth was hard for both mother and baby, Mercy almost didn't make it, only due the healing spell of her own mother she survived. Though it was all worth it, the moment she set her daughter on the Earth. Kaylee Spencer. Crying and covered in blood, she was still the most beautiful thing Mercy had ever seen. She was the love child of what was once an arranged marriage, turned in one full of love. Mercy Spencer, once Mercy White, was married to Charles Spencer to ensure a alliance between the two witch families. Witches were quiet rare and therefore it was a natural way to keep the magic alive. Kaylee was Mercy's third child and first daughter. The girl grew up in a lovely home, full of people like her. Magic was something that had always been part of her life, from the moment she was born to the moment she would die.

Kaylee grew up in a small town in the state of Oregon. Hidden between the trees and far away from the humans, she and her family lived peacefully. Her parents often told her and her brothers that they would rather live somewhere so far away from civilisation that they never had to hide themselves. Unfortunately even witches have to eat and can't live of just berries. Both her parents worked in the town, and she and her brother went to the local high school. At some point her father got an offer to work somewhere at the other side of the country. The move would be paid for them and his salaries would be tripled. The man did agree, of course. And that is how Kaylee ended up in the little town of hawkins.

Mercy Spencer
Kaylee's mother and best friend. She knows it's sounds silly and childish, calling your mother out best friend, but she really is. Mercy and Kaylee are incredibly close, both of them having not only a very similar personality but also need to stick together in a house full of boys. Kaylee adores her mother and often says that everything good she has, comes from her mother.

Charles Spencer
Kaylee's father and first hero. Kaylee will always admire her father, he is the stronger man she knows. He is hardworking, and always there for his family. Kaylee and he are very close, but he is also rather protective over her. He cares much for her but often forgets her to ask for her opinion and acts on his own feeling,  rather than hers. This is something they often fight over.

Simon and Nicholas Spencer
Kaylee's 20 and 22 old brothers. Both are a lot more reckless than their little sister and though the three love each other very much, they never see eye to eye. Kaylee often was left alone because she was a girl and had to fight them more than once to prove she was strong enough. The three would do everything for each other and Kaylee loves her brother dearly. But there are many moments when she just wants to snap their necks.

𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁
↳Kaylee moved to hawkins before Billy and was known as the new kid, until a Billy came along. Kaylee was relieved to get out of the stoplight. Because of this she one time called Billy newbie, it was at the party and she might had been a little drunk, and the nickname stuck. Though she only uses it teasingly when she does something better than him.

↳Billy calls Kaylee little witch. The first time he used the nickname he was flirting with her, telling that he couldn't get her out of his mind. He wondered what she was doing to him, asking her is she might be a witch. Kaylee responded with "why? Are you scared of witches" and he told her "no, little witch" ever since he has been calling her that. When he discovered she was actually a witch, well the nickname only fitted better.

↳At the start Billy was only interested in Kaylee due a bet (cliche I know). Kaylee, known as the school's sweetheart, had never showed interest in anyone. And the one who made the bet thought she might be lesbian. So to test that theory he dared Billy to seduce Kaylee, make her fall in love with him.

↳Obviously things didn't go according to plan. Instead of making her fall in love with him, he fell in love with her. He fell in love with her sweet smiles and open heart. He struggled with his feelings, denying them for the better part of the second season and essentially admitting them in the last episode. Kaylee, who had fallen for him too, shut off his rambling by kissing him and they have been dating ever since. 

↳Kaylee is the only one who can scowl him. In season 3 when he, despite is promise to max, scares the children, she is often there to scowl him. Dustin often says she's a witch because how else could someone make Billy actually being nice to them.

↳Billy loves cuddling with her. Every time they spend the night over, he wouldn't let her get up and kept her in his arms. Whenever they sit beside each other on the couch he would wrap his arms around her. He would never admit it though, but Kaylee thinks it's adorable.

Her eyes shoot open and she gasp before speaking the words "it's back".
