Angelica and Kai had slept over at the Salvatore house with everyone else to comfort the now orphan Caroline. Bonnie had been there as well but she had put her differences aside with the couple for Caroline. Angelica was thankful for that. She really didn't want to be enemies with Bonnie because she knew Bonnie was a good person. However the night spent in the unfamiliar house did not go so well for Kai

Chains. Kai was trapped in chains. Bound by his wrists and ankles. Blood dripping down his body from the different gashes he had gotten from a knife. He heard her screams. Angelica's screams which made his struggle in his chains. Her screams for his help, and yet he could do nothing. Begging for the pain to stop. Begging for his help and he couldn't help her

He screamed out her name, as he got cuts from his cuffs, trying to wiggle out of them, but it was no use. He couldn't escape. He watched as a door opened. Her cries getting closer until he watched as she was thrown into the room. She was covered in blood, he could only hope that it wasn't her own blood, but it in fact was. She quickly sat up and turned to see Kai. Her eyes widened as she rushed to him. She began trying to undo his cuffs but was having no luck

"We've gotta get out of here, we've gotta ge-" Angelica's words were cut off as a wooden stake went through her chest. Kai screamed out in horror as he watched her descicate and fall to the ground, limp. He kept calling her name as he couldn't escape. Then the sound of a familiar chuckle could be heard. One, he had despised. He looked up to see his father, laughing at him. He was happy that this was happening

"You don't deserve to be happy. I'll take away everything you care about" His words echoed in Kai's mind before he felt something pierce his chest. He looked down to see a knife

Kai sat up with a gasp as sweat dripped down his face. The light beard he was growing was covered in sweat. He looked around, not remembering where he was. He got up and walked out of the room, stumbling around trying to escape. He felt like his chest was going to burst. It hurt, it all hurt. He grabbed a door knob and opened a door before shutting it behind him. He locked the door and he leaned back against it, before slid to the ground. He brought his knees up to his chest and began to sob. He couldn't get a moment of sleep. This always happened. He'd be forced to look at images like that. Images that tortured him

"Kai.. are you in there? I heard you get up.. are you crying?! Kai, let me in.." Angelica's voice could be heard. He was sure that all the other vampires in the house could hear what was going on but it wasn't one the forefront of his mind. He was freaking out. He was literally losing his mind. He could not sleep and he felt like shit. Suddenly the urge to vomit was present. He flicked on the light of the room he was in and realized he was in a bathroom. He could hear someone, presumably Angelica trying to open the door by turning the knob. Kai rushed to the toilet before he began vomiting. Except it was blood

"Kai?! Kai! I'm breaking down the door!" Angelica yelled. The next thing Kai knew, the door had been busted open. Angelica rushed in only to stare. This hadn't been what she was expecting

"But I smelled blo- Oh my God.. that's blood! You're vomiting blood- here drink from my wrist" Angelica said as she bit down in her wrist. Kai drank the liquid only to immediately feel it rise back up his throat. He began vomiting once more and Angelica wasn't sure what to do

"A doctor! A doctor can help you?!" Angelica asked unsure as she freaked out

Angelica wished she could've helped with the funeral arrangements but with Kai's new found illness and barely able to move around, Angelica wasn't able to. She had hoped that Caroline would understand. Caroline had many people to rely on and Kai only had Angelica, and she sure as hell wasn't going to leave him to suffer alone

Angelica rubbed Kai's back as he vomited. She had already taken him to a doctor but there was nothing medically wrong with him. She wasn't sure what the fuck was going on until she wondered if it had to do with the merge. She pulled out her phone and dialed Alaric

"Angie?" A voice asked

"I need to speak to Jo" Angelica said

"She's a little busy. She's got food poisoning" Alaric said as the sound of someone vomiting in the background could be heard

"Okay, well I think Kai is dying.. I need her help" Angelica said. She heard Alaric scoff

"As if we give a shit" Alaric said. Angelica rolled her eyes as Kai continued puking up blood

"Um, you do know that if Kai dies.. Josette will die too.. are you stupid?" Angelica asked. Alaric went silent

"How fast can you be here?" Alaric asked

"I'll be there soon. Bye-bye" Angelica said before hanging up. Kai groaned as he wiped the blood off of his lips

"Fuck me.." He groaned weakly

"Name a place and time" Angelica said with a wink which brought a smile to Kai's face. She was trying to cheer him up. He laughed before he felt his throat begin to burn. He leaned back over the toilet and vomited once more

Angelica rang Alaric's doorbell like 30 times as she held the weak and lethargic Kai up

"Fuck! I heard it the first 50 times!" Alaric yelled. The door opened and he stood there, unamused

"Hey" Kai said weakly

"Can I come in?" Angelica asked

"You can come in" Alaric grumbled. Angelica helped Kai into the apartment

"What are you two doing here?" Jo's voice rang out. She looked rather pale

"Did Ric not tell you?" Angelica asked. Josette looked at Alaric confused

"She said that Kai was dying.. and that if he died you'd die" Alaric explained

"Funny you suddenly don't want to die.. you know you could've killed us all the other day?!" Josette yelled which made Kai feel even more guilty. Angelica scoffed as she led Kai to the couch. She sat him down before walked over to Josette

"Oh hell, no. We are not doing that. You owe me your life and therefore you are gonna save Kai if you want to keep living said life" Angelica threatened. Josette shut her mouth. Kai finally found the courage to speak

"There's an issue I've been worried about since the merge.. because we didn't do it right. The whole.. 'You're not my twin. Hey, that's okay, close enough' plan. But it worked, which is, you know, cool. Hey, I'm even a bit nice now, in case you were wondering. But I've been waiting for the other shoe to drop. And, well, I think it's dropped. Because I'm-" Kai cut himself off as he felt the urge to vomit

"Where's the bathroom?" Kai asked before he suddenly vomited blood all over the couch and floor

"Oh, God. Ric" Josette said. Ric ran over and had him puke in a vase

"Here" Alaric said as Kai grabbed the vase and vomited into it

"I don't think you have food poisoning. I was supposed to merge my magic with you, but I got Luke's instead. Now I'm defective, and I think that's why you're sick. I kind of feel like I'm dying, actually.. And if I die, so do you, Dad, Liv and the rest of our dumb Coven. So could you please fix me? Like, now?" Kai asked. Angelica pulled out her phone

Angelica:
Babe, I might not make it to the funeral
Kai is dying
He's coughing up blood
I'm with Jo and Ric to solve it
I'll try to make it but if I don't I'm sorry

Angelica put her phone away and stared at Kai who laid back against the couch before sighing

Angelica was holding Kai's hand as Josette was inspecting him. They were in her office at work

"Any joint pain?" Josette asked which earned a weak yes. "Headaches?"

"Yep" Kai muttered

"Are you pregnant?" Josette asked which got an unamused look from Kai as he squeezed Angelica's hand

"Stop making jokes. I feel like I'm being scrunched from inside out. This is kinda private. Does your baby-boo need to be here?" Kai asked as Josette checked Kai's ears

"Does yours? And I'm not leaving her alone with you, so deal with it" Alaric said

"Um, duh.. she needs to be with me.. and Jo wouldn't be alone. Angel is here" Kai said with a weak smile

"I don't trust her either" Alaric said

"We used to get drunk together" Angelica said

"Before you went crazy" Alaric replied

"Baby, she's always been crazy" Kai said

"That is not true. She was fine before she met you" Josette said which earned a glare from both Kai and Angelica. Josette finished her checkup

"Okay, your vitals are fine. Your temperature is normal. I'll wait on pathology, but there's nothing medically wrong with you" Josette said

"Yeah, duh. I've already been to the doctor's. I could've told you that if you listened. I'm magically diseased. And you haven't puked in at least-" Kai cut himself off as he stared. Josette immediately knew what was happening. She turned just as Kai puked up blood. Angelica's eyes went wide as she rubbed his back, trying to comfort him. Josette had grabbed a trashcan for him to puke in. Which he did so, he grabbed her wrist and accidentally began siphoning her. Josette groaned in pain

"Hey. Hey!" Alaric yelled as he shoved Kai's hand off. Kai panted out

"I feel better" Kai stated. Angelica smiled

"Really?" She asked

"Really" He said as he looked at her

"Yeah, because you juiced-boxed my magic" Josette said

"Sorry, that was an accident. But I- Wow, I legitimately feel better. You need to give me your magic" Kai stated which made Josette confused

"What?" She asked as Kai stood on his own two feet

"The faux merge is clearly failing. I was supposed to get your magic, right? I don't know, put it in a teddy bear or a bed pan or whatever and give me" Kai said as he held out his hand. Alaric grabbed it harshly

"Listen I can easily break seven little bones in your hand with one squeeze, okay?" Alaric threatened. Angelica gripped Alaric's hand, forcing him to let go of Kai

"I can break so much more then seven bones" Angelica threatened

"It's okay, Angel, I got this. I can see you're skeptical, Ric. Can I call you Ric? Angel calls you Ric, so I'm gonna call you Ric. Hey, buddy, but here's the thing you need to know is that Jo only survives if I do, okay? If that's not enough for you, I don't know what to tell you. I see vacancy. Would you like me to start over with single syllables?" Kai asked which earned a glare from Alaric

Kai was sitting on the bed in the room alone. Josette had wanted to talk to him privately, so Angelica had left with Alaric, even if she didn't want to. Josette had finally entered the room. She shut the door behind her before muttering a spell that would make the room sound proof. However, that was unheard by Kai

"Finally. Was about to use that bed pan for more practical reason-" Kai was cut off

"Motus!" Jo yelled as she held her hands out. Kai went flying and hit the wall. Kai groaned out in pain as he fell to the ground. He then felt an excruciating brain in his head as Josette used another spell on him

"I talked to Dad. Guess who's not sick? Him, Liv, and I'm feeling pretty good right now, too which leads me to believe I'm not gonna die anytime soon. So, what's your game?! Tell me!" Josette yelled. Kai felt tears prick his eyes from the pain

"I don't have a game! God!" Kai yelled before he forced his hand out and gave Josette the same pain in her head. She fell to her knees as she cried out in pain. Kai panted as the pain stopped in his head

"As much as my suffering might bring you pleasure or whatever this is not the way to handle the situation" Kai said as he stopped hurting Josette. She stood up and stared at him

"Is this all just a ploy for you to get more magic?" Josette asked. Kai couldn't believe what he was hearing. He started laughing

"It's a ploy for us all to stay alive, actually. Well, I'm sorry if that seems selfish" Kai said

"I don't believe you! I mean you literally tried to kill yourself days ago, almost taking us all out! Suddenly you want to live?! You're a liar, Kai! You are the worst kind of liar, because your lies sound so much like the truth. It is impossible for me to tell the difference" Josette said. Kai felt a knot in the back of his throat

"You're right. I am a liar, all right? I'm the black sheep. You know the defective twin, that nobody wanted. Must feel real nice for you to stand here, judging me, surrounded by all the things that you got out of life while I spent 18 years in isolation as the family reject. 18 years away from the only person who's ever shown me unconditional love! Let me tell you every inch of me wants to kill you for that. Every part! But I can't, because the only way that I can survive is if you help me. I get that I almost killed you when I tried to kill myself, and I'm sorry.. I'm really sorry, but I'd like to live. I didn't see it then, but I do now. I didn't get to do a whole lot of that before you and the Coven decided I wasn't worth it.. please" Kai begged

"I'll give it to you. But under one condition. You take it. You and Angelica get out of my life. I never want either of you anywhere near me ever again" Josette said

"Fine" Kai said

"I'm not finished" She said

"Shocker" Kai replied

"If you break your promise. I'll kill her and then kill you. I'll take myself and our entire Coven down with you, because I don't want to live another minute afraid of my own brother. You got it?" Josette asked. Kai felt rage bubbled up as she threatened Angelica, but he wanted to live. So, he forced his rage down and gave out a forced smile

"Got it" He replied

Angelica and Alaric watched as Josette gave Kai her magic in Alaric's apartment. She was chanting. The room became windy from the magic, papers flying everywhere. Then, it stopped

"Is it finished?" Angelica asked however the smile on Kai's face told her everything

"It's done" Josette breathed out. Kai sighed in relief

"Thank you and congratulations" He said with a genuine smile. Josette looked at him confused. Kai leaned into her ear

"It's not food poisioning.. you're pregnant" Kai whispered. Angelica's eyes went wide as she covered her mouth. Kai pulled back before moving the hair out of Josette's face. His hands stopping on her cheeks

"Have a good life, sissy" Kai said before he backed up and grabbed Angelica's hand. He then led her out of their residence

"She's pregnant?" Angelica asked as they walked down the stairs of the apartment

"Yup, there's a bun in that oven" Kai teased. Angelica looked at him. There was something off about him

"Are you okay? Did something happen when you talked to Jo?" Angelica asked. Kai looked at her and smiled

"It was just us siblings catching up. Let's just get home. I want to continue watching Supernatural" Kai said which made Angelica smile

"I still think Sam is better than Dean" Angelica admitted

"And that's where you're wrong because Dean is obviously the better choice" Kai replied

"I can and will end our engagement over this" Angelica playfully threatened as the couple walked outside of the apartment complex and towards Angelica's car

"You can't leave me" Kai whined

"Watch me" Angelica said with a wink as she went to open her car door only to feel Kai push her against the car, roughly. His hands on her waist while her ass was against his crotch

"If you leave me, who's gonna please you?" Kai asked as he left kisses on her shoulder, making her shudder

"We are in public, Kai" She breathed out

"Let 'em watch. Let 'em know you belong to me" Kai said with a wink. Angelica turned around a smacked him

"I'll get called a whore! Get in the car before I beat your ass" Angelica threatened. Kai didn't move. Angelica sighed

"If you don't get in the car, I won't beat your ass" Angelica said as she shook her head. Kai ran over to the other side and quickly got in

"I'm in mommy, I'm ready for my punishment" Kai said with a cheeky grin

"Don't call me mommy! I told you it's weird! I don't like it" Angelica said as she cringed

"You don't ever call me daddy.. so you have to be the mommy" Kai replied as Angelica got into the car

"I don't call you daddy because you're literally the submissive one, Kai.. the fuck are you gonna do? Whimper at me?!" Angelica asked

"Oh, you want me to be dominant? I can be dominant. I'll make you ride my thigh, hoe" Kai replied

"Hoe?!" Angelica asked shocked that he called her such a name

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Kai whined
