Angelica had been sleeping peacefully in bed when she was awoken by the sounds of someone who was crying. She opened her eyes to see Kai sitting on the edge of the bed. He was crying

"Kai..?" She asked softly

"D-Don't.. look at me" Kai said as he shooed her away. His voice broken and it was evident that his throat was sore. Angelica crawled over to his side of the bed and then wrapped her arms around him. She'd never seen him like this. Never. She could only assume it was due to the merge

"Baby.. it's okay, talk to me. I'm here for you"  Angelica cooed into his ear

"Something's not right.. t-there's something wrong with me.. I feel bad.. it hurts.. it fucking hurts" Kai cried out

"What hurts?" Angelica asked

"My chest.. it's.. it's like.. it's like it's being squeezed to death.. it fucking hurts.. m-make it stop.." Kai cried out. Angelica nodded in understanding and ran her hands across his chest, trying to comfort him

"What are you thinking about?" She asked him

"The merge.. and Luke.. I can't stop thinking about Luke.. and Jo.. Liv.. and what I did.. why?! I've never cared before! Why?!" Kai cried out

"Hey, hey.. it's okay.." Angelica told him

"I'm sorry.. I'm sorry.. I haven't been good to you.. I'm a horrible person.." Kai cried

"I forgive you.. I always forgive you.. You could never do wrong in my eyes.. you know that?" Angelica asked him. Kai turned to look at her. His eyes were bloodshot and swollen. His cheeks soaked in his tears

"You're too good to me.. I don't deserve it.." Kai cried as he stared into her eyes. Angelica cupped his cheek and wiped his tears

"You absolutely deserve it.. I love you.. I love you so, so much.. You just tell me what you need" Angelica told him

"I just.. I just need you" Kai breathed out. Angelica nodded as Kai began gripping at her shirt. She put her hand on his and helped him lift it up over her head. His lips captured hers and the kiss was soft and slow

"I'm right here.. if this is what you need.. I'll give it to you" Angelica spoke softly before carefully pushing him down onto the bed. His head hit the pillow and Angelica straddled him. She leaned down and left light kisses on his jaw and neck

"I'll take care of you.. I'll make you feel better.. I promise" She told him

Kai looked at the letter with blurry eyes before he pulled out a lighter and lit it on fire. He thought he'd feel better, but nothing changed. Kai let out a scream before he picked up a chair and threw it across the room

"Fuck!" He cried out as he fell to his knees and sobbed

"Kai?!" A concerned voice called out. The next thing he knew, there were arms wrapped around him. They belonged to Angelica

"I'm sorry.. I'm sorry.." Kai cried out

"I know you are.. I know you are" Angelica cooed

"I can't do this.. it hurts! It's torture.. Angel, make it stop.. please" Kai begged with a hoarse voice

"I wish I could.. I really wish I could take away your pain.." Angelica told him as she kept hugging him

"How did I get here? Where did I go wrong?! Why am I like this?! Why couldn't I have been a good person?!" Kai cried out. Angelica wanted to help him. She wanted him to be happy

"It's not your fault.. all those things you did.. it's because of your father.. he did this to you.. If he had treated you better, you wouldn't have done the things you did.. We'll kill him, okay? We'll kill him and make him pay for what he did. None of it is your fault. It's his.. you have nothing to feel guilty for.. he's the one who should be feeling this way" Angelica cooed into his ear. Kai's eyes widened

"But I-" He was cut off

"He made you like this.. it's his fault. All of it" Angelica reassured. Kai turned to look at her before he nodded

"You're right.. if he had just treated me like a normal person.. I wouldn't be the way I am. He did this to me. All of those deaths aren't on my hands.. they're on his" Kai said. Angelica nodded

"Exactly.. it's his hands who are dirty.. not yours.. you were a victim.. you didn't ask for this.. I'm gonna save you.." Angelica cooed

"I'm so glad you came back to me.. I'm gonna be good to you.. I promise.. I'll be better" Kai told her

"You're perfect just the way you are.. you're all I need.." Angelica told him. Kai nodded before pressing his lips against hers softly

"You're all I need.." He replied as he he stared at her. He loved the way she looked at him. As if he was truly good. As if he was perfect. As if he was the only thing she cared about. He'd never let her go. She was all he had left. She was the only person who ever truly loved him. She was the only one who knew him and understood him. She was his everything

"Hello" Kai said as he entered the Salvatore Boarding House. They were there so Kai could deliver a letter to Josette. Angelica was holding Kai's hand

"No. That's impossible, because why would he-?" Elena was cut off

"He didn't. He's all merged, he's packed and he's on his way to Portland" Damon replied. The duo walked into the room where the other couple was

"I'm here, too!" Angelica cheered

"I forgot how massive this house was. Yum, cupcakes. Sorry, are we interrupting something?" Kai asked

"What are you two doing here?" Damon asked

"I just wanted to say hi to the fakest bitch I've ever met.. hi Damon" Angelica said waving her fingers

"Hi Angie" Damon said waving his fingers with a sarcastic smile

"Okay, but for real. I need your help" Kai said as he held up the letter for Josette

"Why would we give a letter to Jo?" Elena asked as both Kai and Angelica sat down. Kai grabbed a cupcake and began eating it

"I can't find her using a locator spell. And, you know, good on her.. under normal circumstances, I'd be jazzed to gouge out her belly button" Kai said as he sucked the frosting off his finger. Angelica couldn't help but imagine that he was sucking her ti-

"Why would we help you, Kai?" Elena asked

"Because you're my friend" Angelica said

"You tried to kill my brother" Elena retorted

"Damon, did kill your brother" Angelica pointed out. Damon dropped his head in shame as Elena pursed her lips

"You got me there" She said

"In case you haven't figured out by now.. I'm a sociopath. I know, shocker. I like being a sociopath, you know. I'm not burned by things like guilt, or love. So then, this merge happened with my brother Luke, and I won. Which was great, I absorbed his ability to do magic.. but now I can't stop thinking about how Luke died. How Liv's life is ruined. For some horrible reason, I can't shake.. how badly I feel about it" Kai explained. Angelica wrapped her arms around Kai in a comforting manner

"You feel bad?" Elena asked, almost not believing him

"Yeah. So when I absorbed Luke's magic.. I must have gotten some of his qualities or something, like empathy. So I googled how to process emotional pain.. and they said if you write everything down in an letter and burn it, you'll be healed. So I started writing.. and this water literally started pooling in my eyes. Has that ever happened to you? Like, water just oozing out of my eyeballs.. like I'm some alien-creature excreting fluids" Kai explained

"You mean you cried?" Elena asked as Damon was questioning where he went wrong in life

"Yes. And after that was done, I burned the letter. The feelings, they're still there. So I really feel strongly that Jo needs to know how sorry I am.. for destroying our family. But let's face it, guys, all right? Elena, you of all people.. should be willing to look past the things I've done to see.. that there's good somewhere in me. You did it with Damon" Kai said. Angelica wanted to know why he was looking for her approval

"Okay. I think we're done here. Come on" Damon said

"Actually.. I'll do it" Elena said. Kai had the biggest smile on his face

"Really?" He asked

"Everyone deserves a second chance" She said as Kai handed her the letter

"Thank you" He said

"Oh, good.. you guys are here for lunch.. oh Angie! I was just about to text you.. hey Kai" Caroline said with a wink and smile. Veins came out around Angelica's eyes. Caroline giggled as she ran over and hugged Angelica

"Girl.. I'd rather have you" She teased

"Okay, but like some girl-" Kai was cut off

"If you finish that sentence.. I will cut out your tongue" Angelica threatened. Everyone thought she was joking, but Kai knew she was dead serious and it turned him on. Kai looked away embarrassed as he shifted uncomfortably trying to hide the boner he currently had

"What are they doing here?!" Bonnie asked

"Oh, no, no, no. We are not doing that. I heard what you did while my mother was dying, how dare you?!" Caroline yelled at Bonnie. Bonnie's jaw dropped

"You're kidding, right?! It was his fault! She had no righ-" Bonnie was cut off

"He was trying to help! He bought her time! Ugh! You need to get over what happened? He shot you one time! Okay? Literally Damon has threatened to kill you how many times?! But Kai shoots one time and suddenly he's public enemy number one?! You treated me the same way when I became a vampire!" Caroline yelled

"Girl fight! Fight! Fight!" Kai egged on

"Shut up Kai!" Bonnie and Caroline yelled

"Tough crowd" Kai said rolling his eyes

"Okay, let's all just relax" Stefan said as he walked in

"Relax?! Relax?! She is ruining my lunch party!" Caroline complained

"Wait, where's the food?" Kai asked

"You ate it shit for brains.." Damon said

"Oh, that's what the cupcakes were for? Well for everyone's information. They were good as fuck" Kai said

"Kai, I could strangle you right now" Caroline groaned out

"I feel like I should inform you that I'm a masoc-" Kai was cut off

"Kai!" Angelica threatened

"She's gonna beat me when I get home" Kai pouted as Angelica smacked him upside the head

"Something tells me you'd like that" Damon scoffed

"How'd you know?" Kai asked as he began kicking his feet

"Ew" Elena said

"Ignore him, sweetheart" Damon said as he put his hands on Elena's waist before kissing her

"Oh, thank God. You two, together.. is still totally revolting to me. Finally, a familiar feeling. Luke didn't take me over completely" Kai teased which earned glares from the couple

"What the hell are those two doing here?" Jeremy asked

"Hey, Jerbear.. sorry about almost killing you. I'm a better person now" Angelica said

"That is a lie" Kai replied

"That would be correct" Angelica said

"Ugh this lunch sucks!" Caroline cried before stomping off

"I got her" Stefan said before rushing after her. Angelica leaned against Kai which led him to rest his head ontop of her head. Damon pretended to vomit as Bonnie rolled her eyes

"I'm a better person now, guys.. which inherently means Angel will eventually become a better person" Kai said

"People don't just change like that" Jeremy said

"People usually don't merge with their siblings either" Damon said

"For the record, I would have been fine with any of Luke's qualities.. the hair, the whole gay thin- okay not the gay thing.. I mean I guess if I was bi.. or pan.. as long as I was still attracted to her. The height wouldn't work either" Kai said referring to Angelica

"You seriously buy this?" Jeremy asked

"We don't have to like him. But he's Angie's fiance.. and we have to accept that. Angie is kind of our friend.. even if she tried to kill you.. Damon did kill you, so.. I can't do a double standard.. sorry" Elena said

"Un-fucking-believable. We should trust the guy that changed personalities overnight? Oh, and the girl who spreads her legs for any psychotic guy she sees" Jeremy spat out. Angelica's jaw dropped as Kai stood up

"The fuck did you just say?" Kai asked as he glared at Jeremy, going to approach him

"Back off" Bonnie said, coming to Jeremy's defense

"Take it back" Kai said

"Fuck no" Jeremy said. Kai lifted his hand and muttered a spell which led to Jeremy being lifted up in the air, unable to breathe. Bonnie went to attack Kai but he muttered another spell and froze her

"I said it take it back" Kai spat out

"Kai, stop!" Elena yelled

"Not until he apologizes" Kai said

"Jeremy, just apologize!" Damon yelled. Jeremy rolled his eyes

"I'm.. sorry.." He breathed out. Kai let him go before he let out a huff. Jeremy grabbed at his throat as Bonnie rushed to his side. Angelica was extremely turned on by Kai right now. The way he came to her defense was so hot

"Sorry.. I'm working to be a better person. I have anger issues. As you can tell. I just didn't like that comment. You would react the same way if I said it to BonBon.. so, let's start over. Hi, I'm Kai and that is my fiance Angel.. but you guys call her Angie.. but her real name is Angelica.. I think her name suits her because she is literally an angel to me-" Kai was cut off

"Okay.. loverboy" Damon said sarcastically

"You know I'm kind of like.. Elena in reverse. She was human, pure.. dating the good Salvatore, then she became an undead blood vacuum.. stopped caring about right and wrong.. started dating the bad one" Kai said

"That's not how it happened" Elena said

"That's exactly how it happened" Angelica, Bonnie and Jeremy said

"I'm just paraphrasing what Damon told me in the prison world" Kai said

"Thanks little weasel" Damon said sarcastically. Caroline and Stefan had come back with carts full of food

"Don't worry. Lunch is still on!" She said with a smile

"Woo-hoo!" Kai said, ready to eat the food. He went to touch one of the carts but Caroline smacked his hand away. He stuck out his bottom lip as he held his swatted hand

"No touching" She warned

"You're mean, Carolina!" Kai whined

"It's Caroline!" Caroline yelled

"That's what I said, Christy" Kai said rolling his eyes. Caroline's eye twitched. She looked like she was about to murder Kai but she remained in control because she wanted lunch to be perfect. Everyone sat down as the waiters she compelled began serving food

"So, how's everyone doing?" Caroline asked

"Like ass! Let me tell you. This guilt shit, sucks. I wanna go back to being a sociopath" Kai said. Everyone stared at him like he was stupid, including Angelica. He rolled his eyes

"How do you stand him? I'd kill him if I was you" Caroline told Angelica. Kai laughed

"I think we're at 57 now.. the last time she tried killing me, I was sleeping. I woke up.. yeah, fun way to wake up hones- oh, make that 58" Kai said as he felt something sharp touching his leg

"No murdering people, Angie!" Caroline yelled. Angelica pulled the knife back

"It's okay, it turns me on" Kai replied which got a bunch of ews. Jeremy stood up

"I just lost my appetite" He said

"Sit your ass down" Caroline commanded. Jeremy looked around before slowly sitting back in his seat

"Sorry, I'm late" Enzo spoke before taking a seat

"I didn't invite you" Stefan said glaring at the British man

"I did, and what did I tell you about being on time" Caroline scolded

"Does all she do is complain?" Kai whispered to Angelica. Caroline's head snapped towards Kai before she threw a knife at him. Angelica caught it and set it down on the table

"What happened to no killing?" Kai teased

"I'll make an exception" Caroline said. Kai's phone started ringing. He pulled it out and groaned

"Ugh, fuck.. who gave these bastards my number?" Kai asked as he got up from his seat

"Who is it?" Angelica asked

"One of those dicks on the Gemini council.. I'll be back" Kai said before walking off. Angelica watched him walk away, more specifically his ass. She sunk her teeth onto her bottom lip

"You're not even attempting to hide it" Enzo said

"Kill yourself" Angelica replied

"Man, not everyone is lik-" Damon was cut off as Angelica threw a knife in his direction. Damon caught it before throwing it back. This led to a knife throwing contest between the two

"Literal children" Jeremy said

"Shut up drug addict" Angelica replied

"Says the sex addict" Jeremy responded

"Okay? You know what? That's the second time you've commented about my sleeping habits. If you're gonna call me a whore, just come out and say it" Angelica said as she stood up

"You're a who-" Jeremy was cut off as Elena smacked him over the head

"Respect women" Elena replied

"I don't respect her" Jeremy said

"You didn't respect Bonnie either when you cheated on her with a ghost" Angelica pointed out which led to Damon choking on his bourbon. Enzo let out a cackle as Stefan's jaw dropped. Bonnie pursed her lips before giving Jeremy an angry look, recalling how she felt. Elena couldn't defend her brother with that one

"Says the one who got with another guy while she was engaged.. so I guess you can't really talk about cheating" Jeremy fired back. Caroline slammed her hands on the table as Angelica shifted uncomfortably as she stood. She then sat down, awkwardly. She already felt guilty about it. She began biting her nail

"That's different and you know it! That was too far!" Caroline yelled. Jeremy glared at her

"You're joking, right?! Since when did you all decide to start kissing her ass?! I expect it from Damon because he's a two faced asshole, but all of you?! Seriously?!" Jeremy yelled

"You need to relax" Enzo said

"No, I'm not gonna relax! She tried to kill me! And her boytoy tried to kill Bonnie!" Jeremy yelled

"I think I'm just gonna go" Angelica said

"Don't come back" Jeremy said. Elena slapped Jeremy across the face. Jeremy brought his hand up to his face and stared at Elena in shock

"That's enough! You're overreacting and you're taking things way too far!" Elena scolded

"Did you just slap me?" Jeremy asked

"I think you should leave" Stefan said. Jeremy flipped off Stefan before he grabbed Bonnie's hand

"We're leaving. Fuck you guys" Jeremy said before he and Bonnie left. Angelica stood up. That comment Jeremy made about her getting with Kol really bugged her

"I need a minute" She said before walking off and entering one of the bathrooms. She closed the door behind her and began running water in the sink. She cupped her hands full of water and splashed it against her face. She tried to ignore Jeremy's comment about her cheating, but he was right. She cheated on Kai. She was unfaithful. How could Kai forgive her for that? Why was Kai so good to her? She didn't deserve it. A knock on the door broke her out of her thoughts

"Baby..? Caroline told me what happened.. can I come in?" Kai's voice asked. Angelica opened the door for him. He had a small frown as he stared at her

"He was right.. I.. I.." Angelica was hushed as Kai wrapped his arms around her

"My sweet Angel.. don't listen to him.. his opinion and his words don't matter, but mine do.. right?" Kai asked. Angelica nodded her head against Kai's chest

"I told you that I'm not mad.. I've let it go.. I've forgiven you.. so don't beat yourself up over it.. you'll make me mad if you keep doing this" Kai said. Angelica looked at him confused

"You assume how I'm gonna react and then take action based on the way you think I feel, not how I really feel" Kai told her

"You're right.. I'm sorry.. I just get so self-conscious about ho-" Angelica was cut off

"I know. I know exactly how you get.. because I'm the only one who knows you better than you do.. which is why I'm telling you that I need you and that I'm not mad at you" Kai told her. Angelica lightly smiled. Kai grabbed her hand and led her out of the bathroom. All of a sudden, Angelica was thrown into another room by an invisible force. Kai's eyes went wide as he turned to look at her only to feel something go through his stomach. Angelica's eyes went wide as she rushed towards him, only to be stopped by some barrier

"Kai!" She screamed in horror as she saw Liv yank the poker out of Kai. Kai fell to his knees as his eyes were wide

"What the hell's going on?! Why can't we leave?!" Damon yelled

"Liv! She's hurting Kai!" Angelica cried

"What?! How did Liv get here and none of us notice?!" Elena yelled

"Probably a cloaking spell of some sorts!" Angelica replied

"That bitch! She ruined my lunch party!" Caroline yelled. Kai was thrown across the room which led to Angelica letting out a cry. She wanted so desperately to help him but she was trapped. Kai let out a pained laugh

"Dang, sis. That was harsh" Kai said

"Shut up" Liv spat out before she moved her hand. Kai let out screams of pain as his hand went to his head. Tears streamed down Angelica's face

"Liv, please stop! Please!" Angelica begged. She then yelled out another spell but Kai had been quicker. A fork went into Liv's neck, which made Kai laugh. Kai then picked up a bottle of alcohol

"It's all coming back to me, Livie-poo" Kai stated as Liv yanked the knife out of her neck

"You know the charge.." Kai said as he opened the alcohol and then began pouring it onto Liv

"Stop it, Kai" Liv said

"That races through your bones.." Kai said as he continued pouring the alcohol onto her

"Stop it!" Liv yelled

"At the prospect of watching someone burn to death" Kai said before he threw the bottle alcohol behind him. It smashed onto the floor

"I really miss that feeling" Kai admitted with a grin. Angelica could only watch as Kai grabbed a burning candle and held it out towards Liv

"Just kill me, Kai. You already killed my best friend. So just do it. Get it over with" Liv said. Kai was hesitating as he struggled not to cry

"Why can't I do this?" Kai asked as Liv was also crying

"I don't care about you. Why can't I kill her? Come on. Kai, do it. Do it. Come on! Kill her!" Kai screamed at himself. Liv took that opportunity to use magic and send a knife into Kai's chest. Angelica screamed as Kai's balance faltered

"Kai!" She screamed as Kai fell onto the ground. Liv picked up a poker and was going to attack Kai when Angelica picked up a pencil and threw it at Liv from the room she was trapped in. It hit Liv's shoulder, piercing her. She let out a groan of pain as she dropped the poker. Liv fell onto the ground as Kai yanked the fork out of his chest with a groan

"What the hell's happening?! I smell a lot of blood!" Damon yelled

"I already told you! Liv is trying to kill Kai!" Angelica yelled. Kai slowly got to his feet and made his way into the room that Angelica was in. He fell onto the ground, but Angelica rushed to his side. She immediately bit her wrist

"Drink it.. you'll feel better" Angelica said as she held her wrist up to Kai's lips. He began to drink the metallic tasting liquid as his wounds began to close. Angelica then rested his head in her lap as she ran her fingers through his hair. He was covered in sweat. Liv got up weakly and made her way into the room. Angelica put Kai's head down softly before she sped over Liv and threw her out the window. The next thing she knew all the vampires in the house had sped over to the scene

"Where's Liv?!" Enzo asked. Angelica pointed at the broken window

"Okay, girl! Period!" Caroline cheered
