𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗡 𝗙𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗞𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗧𝗪𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗕𝗘𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗘 the camera pans towards a lone figure sitting in a dimly lit room, the hazel green-eyed beauty's eyes were strained upon the '𝐊𝐆𝐅 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝟐' final draft with a conflicted expression. Taking a deep breath, the woman closes her eyes shut and leans back, a shaky breath escaping her lips.
Everybody straightens up as the movie begins again while the long-haired hero grins at the sight of the chestnut-haired girl. Khasim fondly rolls his eyes but inwardly sighs in relief seeing a different emotion on his son/nephew's face than just his usual blank and cold expression.
Whilst Mira furrows her eyebrow seeing Rocky in a daze and follows his line of sight, frown deepening seeing a perplexed Naira on the screen but is quick to cover up her emotions and looks away.
"What the actual fuck is wrong with me?" Naira mutters —
"Nothing is wrong with you sweetheart but not sure if I could say the same about myself." The roguish man exclaims, his eyes shining with mirth and infatuation.
— to herself, running a hand through her silky brown locks and letting out an ironical chuckle, "I am going crazy." The woman talks to herself, her expression tired and dull as she reads the last draft of the book for the nth time.
"I am also going crazy for you." He mumbles to himself getting aggravated looks from a few of them. He makes a face at them and snorts, "You can't relate because all of you are single." He taunts, Reena's eyes twitching at his words and glares at him.
"And you aren't?" The woman retorted, smiling sarcastically at him. "Nope." He replies in English, popping the 'p' and smiles cheekily, "I am taken by her."
"Not yet," Khasim speaks up absent-mindedly, the protagonist sending a dirty look. "Aren't you supposed to be on my side? And I will be hers even if she isn't mine." He replies almost immediately, smiling proudly to himself. "Which she will be soon."
Garuda rolls his eyes and subtly looks at a very bored Mira, "I don't think I am mine either." He mutters to himself and smirks teasingly when Mira glances his way and sneers at him.
"Naira?" The chestnut-haired girl abruptly raises her head hearing her mother's soft and aged voice. "Ma? What are you doing here?" She questions, switching on the lights to her study room and hurriedly hiding the draft paper making her mother raise an eyebrow at her suspicious behaviour.
"I see where she gets her beauty from."
"Please someone shut him up."
And we know who said these lines.
"I should be asking that question, young lady. It's past midnight and you are still awake. Again." The older woman scolded, lightly knowing Naira had the awful habit of overworking herself especially when she is invested in a case. Naira subconsciously rubbed her eyes, a yawn escaping her lips as she glanced at the clock, "I am sorry, I didn't check the time and was just‐" The brunette muttered, sending her mother an apologetically look.
"Something is bothering you." Her mother interrupted, placing her hands on her waist and staring at the girl with a knowing look. "What? No!" Naira immediately denied, rapidly shaking her head but the older woman didn't seem to believe her words and walked towards her distressed daughter. "Tell me about it." The middle-aged woman mumbles, caressing her hair with a soft smile.
Rocky's eyes soften seeing their warm and loving relationship and sighs, pursing his lips as memories of him with his mother flash before his eyes.
"I miss you." He breaths out, grip tightening on his mother's charm.
The hazel-green eyed beauty shakes her head with a resigned look but pulls her mother towards her bed, laying her head on the older woman's lap. "I hope you don't put me in a mental asylum after this," Naira uttered, looking up at her mother with a hesitant look, the former snorting at her words, lightly slapping her cheeks. "If I wanted to do that, I would have done it the day you woke up screaming about your dream boy."
"Look! She already has a boy she likes." Reena mocks, flashing the low-key jealous man a smug look.
"I don't murder women and children. I don't murder women and children." He chants, closing his eyes to calm himself.
"I do." Everyone freezes hearing the cold voice of Mira who merely smirks at their shocked and frightened looks.
"Yeah! If you don't shut up, I will send her at you." Rocky threatens with no real heat, flashing a fake smile toward Reena.
"And since when did I listen to you?" Mira drawls out, narrowing her eyes at a sheepish protagonist. "Please." He forces himself to plead, the noriette scoffing and looking away with a small smile playing on her lips.
"How is this normal?" Raghavan utters, a pained expression on his face.
"What?" The petite girl questioned, furrowing her eyebrows in confusion at her mother's words. "Ah, you must have forgotten, after all, you were quite young. I remember on your tenth birthday you had woken up screaming and crying about some boy." Her mother, Idaya explained with a small smile, fondly rolling her eyes as if she remembered something.
Again one petty man rolled his eyes, "I would be glad to make an exception to my rule of not harming children for this kid."
"You had cried all day complaining about how the world was unfair to him and he deserved a better ending. You kept blabbering about how you wanted to be as strong-willed and powerful as he was. Ah, what was his name again?" Idaya mused while Naira fixedly stared at her mother eagerly waiting for the response. "Rocky, was it? —
"It's me!" The man in the leather jacket lets out a small cheer, suddenly very fond of the boy. "You are Rocky?" Virat questions, subtly looking towards Andrews who panics and avoids eye contact with Garuda or Rocky.
Rajendra Desai and Kamal finally look at him carefully and shared subtle glances which didn't go unnoticed by Garuda who smirks to himself.
"The one and only piece." Rocky replies, an arrogant smile curving up on his lips.
— you were obsessed with those dreams, always talking about your fictional boy until one day, the day you just...forgot about him."
"Ouch." He fakes a look of hurt while Reena childishly stuck her tongue out at him. "Children," Mira mutters, rubbing her temple in exasperation.
While the older woman was smiling and joking about the event, Naira was frozen in shock, her eyes wide with disbelief. "What? Why don't I remember anything?" The chestnut-haired beauty breathed out, abruptly sitting up and looking at her mother in urgency and panic. "You mean...oh my god–" Naira suddenly let out a string of curses, clutching her head in pain at the sudden flash of memory.

"This much money won't be sufficient to save your mother, dear." The nurse spoke softly, her eyes holding pity for the young boy who let out a short scream of frustration and agony, kicking the table harshly.
The scene shows a blurred and fuzzy memory of a young Naira, the roguishly handsome man freezing at the memory, letting out a strangled sound of disbelief.
'How is she able to see these memories?' He thinks to himself, mouth agape in astonishment.
He breaths heavily pushing away the nurse and run out of the hospital with silent tears rolling down his cheeks. He continues running even in the heavy rain, abruptly tripping on something and lets out a hoarse scream, ignoring the weird looks, he just cried and poured out his emotions.
Mira blinks at the scene, glancing between the seemingly indifferent man and the memory just like the other occupants, her heart aching for the man she considered her savior, someone she had only viewed as an unbeatable, powerful man.
But these movies might just prove him to be someone more than just a power-seeking man, a man with a story.

"Everyone says that one cannot live peacefully without money but nobody says that without money one cannot die peacefully as well." The young boy stares at his mother, engraving every word of hers in his mind while his eyes greedily took in his mother's features.
Rocky looks at the scene with a deep, longing look and glances at the very hand that promised his mother to become the most powerful man in this world. "I will fulfill that promise, I swear I will."
Most of the criminals present merely smirk or jeer at the scene, assuming him to be one of the million people who wished for the world but always failed.
Reena forces down the urge to reprimand these idiots and cautiously glance at the long-haired hero who looks as nonchalant and unaffected as ever.
"Give me your word." The ill woman says, raising her head and looking at her son through teary eyes. "I don't know how you will survive but when you die, you will be the most powerful man." He looks at his mother's hand, gaining a determined look in his eyes and slowly puts his hands on hers.
"He will, I don't know how but I know he won't back down." Garuda muses but no one heard him, he knew that determined look, the same one he once had. He silently berates the others who aren't able to see the unpredictable man's real strength and power, from his stance to his dark eyes, everything about him screamed danger.
"I will become the wealthiest man in the world, ma." He tightened his grip on her hand while she smiles softly, a lone tear escaping her eyes.

"Information about him is limited but he went through a lot of struggles. He was new to the town, so they hit him." Raghavan explains, gesturing towards a blurred picture of a place.
Raghavan blinks seeing himself on the screen and curiously leans forward. The familiar face of the young boy is shown, an older boy harshly hitting him and demanding him to leave.
"Hit him when he ate."
The screen briefly showed a thug punching a man in a brown leather jacket. Mira and Reena winced at the hard blow while the others seemed extremely interested in the fight.
"Hit him when he slept."
A young Rocky is shown being pushed around by a few older boys while they looked at him with taunting eyes.
The current him sneers remembering what he did to those older boys in later years, he had made sure they paid for every single taunt and hit.
"Hit him when he looked at them in the eyes."
Another hard punch is thrown towards an older version of Rocky, who falls to the ground due to the strong impact.
Kamal mocking smiles at an unconcerned Rocky, "That is how you will become the strongest man? Tsk, can't even beat a few street thugs and still dream about the world."
Mira glares at the imbecile but the roguish man merely smirks at Kamal's words.
"They hit him when he retorted."
"Hit him when he rebelled and stood his ground."
The ten-year-old is shown crying alone in a lone corner, sobs racking his small body.
"But one day, he hit back."
"Not surprised, I was expecting that." Virat spoke to himself, intensely staring at the screen.
One of the thugs walks towards the fallen man in the leather jacket with a malicious look, raising his hand to throw another punch but this time the long-haired man catches his arm, twisting it harshly and brushes away his bangs revealing a familiar man.
"That was hot."
Rocky whistles and pointedly looks at Kamal, "That is how I will become the strongest and most powerful man in this world." He taunts, the latter clenching his jaw in anger making Reena smirk at his embarrassed and furious expression.
"From then, no one dared to go against him."
Rocky smirks, throwing his leather jacket and gestures for the goons to come, a few strands of his long hair covering his dark charcoal black eyes which shone with murderous intent.

"–ira? Naira? NAIRA!" The chestnut-haired woman gasped, snapping out of her trance and looked at her mother's worried eyes. "I am going crazy, there is no way, no fucking way." The young woman muttered to herself clutching her head and desperately trying to avoid the incoming anxiety attack, "Naira! Sweetheart, talk to me! What's going on?" Idaya cried out in concern, pulling back her daughter in her embrace. "I am going crazy, ma! How could I already know about this? How did I dream about his life?" Naira whimpered, sobs racking her petite body.
"I want to know about that as well."
Idaya scowled at her daughter's words and cupped her face, "You are not crazy!" The woman sternly reprimanded her daughter, "Tell me everything, everything." And explain she did, Naira poured out all her emotions while her mother patiently listened to her with an understanding look which seemed to relieve the panicked stricken girl.
"What do you feel about him, Naira?" Idaya questioned, tucking a strand of hair behind her daughter's ear. "I don't know!" The brunette suddenly raised her voice, "I don't know." She repeats, her voice lowering to a mere whisper. "I- I am beginning to feel something towards him and I don't like it. It makes me feel vulnerable to know not my own feelings." Naira rushes out, her lips forming in a small pout as she looked down at her lap.
"Atleast I am not the only one." Rocky smiles to himself but then frowns seeing her breakdown. He almost wanted to comfort the girl but there were two problems, one she was far away from him and if that didn't hurt, second he didn't know how to comfort and mentally noted to learn how to comfort a girl from Khasim chacha.
Khasim suddenly felt a chill run down his spine and looked around the room with a wary look.
"Oh, darling." Idaya whispered, wiping the young woman's tears. "You want answers as to why you feel this way about him, why you saw him in your dreams, don't you?" She murmured watching her precious girl nod hesitantly. "You believe me? What if h-he was just a figment of my imagination? A mere coincidence? There is no evidence which proves his existence anyway." Naira uttered, fidgeting her fingers, nervously.
"I am not even real anymore, just an imagination." The long-haired protagonist sarcastically smiled to himself, making a few of them smile at him in amusement.
"I believe you." Idaya softly spoke up, a faint smile playing on her lips. "I don't believe in coincidences but I do believe in destiny. There is a reason behind everything." Naira shifts a little closer to her mother, exhaling a sigh of relief at the words and leans on the older woman's shoulder. "I want to know about him, I want to find him but I don't know where to even begin with." The younger woman whined, throwing her hands in the air out of frustration.
"How about where everything began from?" Idaya suggests, the brunette immediately jumping up at the idea and kissing her mother's cheeks before dashing out of her room, not before hollering a, "Thank you, Ma! And I love you!" to her mother while Idaya pinched the bridge of her nose and glared at the poorly hidden piece of the draft.
"The girl didn't just walk out of her house in the middle of the night." Mira drawls out, though for some reason she was a little worried about that...naive girl.
"I hope you aren't bad news for my daughter or I swear I will bring you back from dead and then murder you."
Rocky quietly corrects his arrogant posture and smiles innocently, "Of course, mother-in-law." He says in all seriousness while the others snort at his behavior.
"Simp."
The older woman threatens before walking out of the room and screaming, "Naira Malik! You better be back home in two pieces or I swear you are grounded for a month!"
"You don't want to wake up the neighbours with your banshee-like scream, ma!" Idaya gritted her teeth hearing the muffled response of her daughter before the loud slam of the door closing echoes signalling her daughter's leave. "Just keep her safe. Please."

The scene swiftly changes to a speeding car, the camera panning towards the driver's seat showing Naira who accelerates the car, her hazel-green eyes shining brightly with a determined glint as the car moves past a small signboard.
The last thing the screen shows is a brief glimpse of '𝐊𝐎𝐋𝐀𝐑 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐓' on a signboard before it turns black.
# 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐀 ! ੈ‧₊
Hello! Well- I updated this with whatever I could sksjusd it's not one of my best works but I still kind of like it. This book is comparatively hard to write for me, which is why I am a little proud of completing this chapter with a little satisfaction.
It's quite long, about 3000+ words, which is why it took me so much time. I am really sorry about that! Anyway, I also wanted to talk about a few characters like Garuda, since the writers never really bothered to show or brief us about his character except for how ruthless he is ( which rocky is too ), I decided to change a little of his personality to make it interesting.
He seems like someone who appreciates power which is why he understood Rocky's determination and was confident in him and kind of has a similar personality to Rocky, the difference is the protagonist's humorous personality and a few morals he stuck to.
What do you think of the chapter? I will probably introduce the second oc the in the next chapter, who do you think will it be? I hope you enjoyed the chapter! Thank you for reading and supporting this book <3
