"Do you know the importance of your duties, Wooyoung?"

No matter how matter how many times Wooyoung is in this room, he doesn't hate it any less. The white walls, the white floor, even the damn windows are white.

He really wish he could wear black.

"Yes, I do ma'am. As a Helper Angel my responsibility is to help souls to heaven. And I think I've done my duties just fine."

Advisor Yongsun sighs and presses her fingers to the bride of her nose.

"Wooyoung, we know you dropped a soul back to earth. And because of that, a Ligite was witnessed taking that pour innocent mortal to hell. This is the third soul you've 'accidentally' dropped  one this month. If you don't tighten up I'll be forced to the put you on probation."

"Ma'am with all due respect I was already carrying five souls, compared to other Helpers who can only carry two! Yes I dropped her, but I can't sacrifice the rest to save one!"

Yongsun slams her hand on the table she's sat at. "Watch your tone with me, Wooyoung! Just because you're a Jung doesn't mean I won't put you in your place. With your wings I would expect you to be able to carry at least ten souls, so I do not want to hear excuses!"

His wings. Many angels have told him he has the most gorgeous wings in all of heaven. They're huge, a common trait in angels with the sur name Jung. Not one feather is too short or out of place. His wings have always been his biggest pride and joy.

But in moments like this, he can't help but want to pull his feathers out.

Yongsun sighs and looks to the door behind where she's seated. "You can come now, Jimin."

Wooyoung feels his blood boil as his older brother walks out and stands next to the advisor of the Helper Division. "What is he doing here? He's not a helper."

"Until you stop dropping souls back to earth, Jimin will be coming with you on every trip to earth to make sure another accident doesn't happen." His brother gives him a genuine smile, but Wooyoung's rage quickly makes it disappear.

"He isn't even a Helper! He's an Arch! How can he help me? He'll just get my way!"

"Wooyoung!" Yongsun's booming voice breaks Wooyoung out of his ranting, and he can feel his wings quivering behind him as tries to calm his heart.

"I don't want to listen to you complain! You wouldn't be in this predicament if you just did your job correctly! Now, Jimin is going with you on your next trip tomorrow. And I do NOT want to hear anymore whining from you, Do you understand Wooyoung?"

Jimin goes to stand next to Wooyoung, and the latter sighs and bows. "Yes, Advisor Yongsun."

•••

As soon as Wooyoung and Jimin make it outside, Jimin turns to the younger and gives him a smile. "If it makes you feel better, I didn't ask to be put with you either. We're in this together."

Wooyoung looks away and flaps his wings, immediately leaving the ground under him. "Whatever, I'll see you at home later." and with that, he's gone, leaving Jimin and making his older brother sigh and fly away as well.

"Mingi, tell me your numbers."

Mingi smirked as his Advisor stared him down. He was the best at his class though.

"Today? Thirty five. This week? One hundred and fifty."

Advisor Minho raises an eyebrow at Mingi's statement. "And you aren't pulling my leg? Wow kid, keep that up and we won't have room for more mortals."

Mingi laughed and kicked his feet up on the table. "Yeah, I get that. I got lucky today, though. I watched an angel drop a soul, poor thing. So I did what anyone would do, I picked her up and brought her through the gates. I think she's in the drude division, If I can remember correctly."

Minho grinned and handed Mingi his progress report, "Keep up the work, kid. The big boss will be pleased when I send in our division's data."

Mingi stood to take the report, and bowed before he left the building.

He definitely feels lucky to be a Ligite. He wouldn't last a second if Seungwoon was his advisor.

The advisor for the drudes can be a bit excessive at times, and Mingi definitely isn't cut out for making mortals life's miserable.

He likes collecting them instead.

But just Mingi's luck, a drude starts to make his way over to him. "Hey, hothead. How'd your meeting go?"

"Just fine, Park. How about yours?" Mingi chuckles and pats his friend on the shoulder, and Seonghwa shrugs.

"He said I'm not contributing enough. What is this, a marriage? We're in hell!" Mingi laughs at Seonghwa's words, and the older demon just shakes his head.

As soon as Mingi was created and thrown in hell, Seonghwa has been there. They immediately grew to each other, as young demons with no parents to watch after them. In hell, you're on your own, unless someone takes pity on you and decides you might be worth something. But no one ever gave Seonghwa or Mingi so much as a glance.

and oh, does Mingi want to make them regret it.

"Weren't you going on another run tomorrow, Mingi? Advisor Seungwoon is sending me out again, said I haven't tormented enough humans."

"Yeah, I was. I'll wait for you at the gates then, Taemin will hold them for us." Mingi flashes Seonghwa a lin card, and the others raises an eyebrow. "Oh, so you pay him off? Makes sense on why the gates stay open so much now." Mingi simply grins and walks off,

"See you tomorrow, Park. Let's cause some mischief."
