"When did you leave?"
My eyes snap at the voice in horror, and it was none other than Jungkook. He lets out a low laugh before walking towards us. His demeanor remains calm yet mischievous. Which tells me that he's up to no good.
"Now I understand why you were in such a rush," He mumbles, but since he was near me I was able to hear it clearly. Yeonjun stares at him in confusion before looking back at me.
"Who is this guy? Is he your boyfriend?" I internally cringe at his choice of words and pass Jungkook a glare.
"God, no. He is going to be my stepbrother," Yeonjun's eyes widen in horror as he stares between the two of us.
"Why are you here?" My question causes Jungkook to look down on me.
"Hmm, let's see. Firstly, it was my duty to bring you home. You went out without informing anyone. You didn't even feel the need to text. Not only this, but you actually had the guts to sneak out to meet guys," He ends giving Yeonjun a sharp look, most probably filled with hatred and disgust.
"Look, man, you're misunderstanding. She's not my girlfriend," Yeonjun defends while raising his hands up in the air in surrender.
"Whatever," Jungkook mumbles before diverting his attention to me.
"Princess Byeol, your chauffeur is here. Would you like to get in the car? Or should I help you with that?" His tone was not at all sarcastic in a good way, but in a bad way. He sent a tight lipped smile towards my way when I didn't get up.
"Come on princess, let's get you back to the castle," He murmurs and without any warning carries me in his arms making me shriek. Yeonjun walks along as well not quite knowing what to do.
"Let her go. She isn't your prisoner," Yeonjun speaks up trying to reason but was Jungkook going to listen? No.
"Back off, okay? This is our family matter so it would be better if you don't poke your nose in our business. Let me reiterate that, never ever try to get involved in our business. It's going to cost you limbs or arms perhaps," He threatens and gives Yeonjun a pat on the shoulder making the latter freeze.
"I'm not scared of you. If you think threatening will work on me, then try again. I've dealt with thousands like you and I'm not hesitant to deal with one more."

Upon reaching the Kim mansion I was bombarded with questions so as to why I left without informing. But my answer remained the same.
"It was urgent guys. Are you interrogating me? Seriously? You all need to calm down, I'm alright standing here in front of you," I say trying to lighten the atmosphere but it doesn't work.
Their faces remain stoic as ever without any movement of their mouths. I sigh, disappointed that my method couldn't work.
"Fine. We will stop but first you have to answer our questions, alright?" I let out a nod at Namjoon's words. How hard could it be?
"When did you leave?"
"After lunch,"
"Where?"
"End of Central Park,"
"And with who?"
I halt, hesitating whether or not to give a name.
"With my friend," My answer remained quite brief which made Jungkook scowl.
"With a guy, Hyung. I assumed it was her boyfriend but then the kid said he's just her friend," Jungkook speaks up this time making me shoot daggers through my eyes at him.
"He's not her boyfriend, yet. I'm telling you, guys like these never have good motives," Taehyung's sneer doesn't go unnoticed by me.
"You stay out of it!" I muttered in anger making his lips curl in amusement. He sits down on the couch beside Yoongi who had earphones on.
"Byeol, how about we go through the house rules once more? Clearly it seems that you didn't understand them well the last time," Jimin speaks up. His voice contained no humor and so did his eyes. Out of all the Kims, he seemed to be the hardest to please. But I wasn't going to back off. Not now, not when I have spent some time with this family already.
"Firstly, you are forbidden to go out after 8 pm. You cannot go out without informing any one of us. Keep your head high and stay out of trouble, okay? We won't be response for loss of limbs. The next one is my personal favorite so listen carefully. If we ever catch you going to the basement or going to any of our business rival's house, it's the end for you. Mark it. I'm not kidding. Lastly, keep your distance with us. We do not prefer socializing or bonding. Be it anyone. You aren't an exception," He ends and tucks his hands in the pockets of his jackets while staring straight ahead at me. I let out a sigh and look out through the balcony.
Living with them could never be easy.
"Done? Now listen to my rules," I say while looking at Jimin who cocks an eyebrow.
"First, you won't ask about who I hang out with or where I hang out at. Keep my friends out of your business. If you even touch them, just keep in mind that I can pretty much ruin your lives. Every week, whichever day you all are free, we will have a movie night in the home theatre. I have access to all the cars and I can use them whenever I wish. Except for the basement, I'll roam around anywhere and I won't knock twice before entering. Also no girls please, keep it family friendly," My eyes meet with Taehyung's who ignored my gaze with the tip of his ears turning red.
"Hyung, are we really going to listen to her rules?" Taehyung speaks out pretty much his brothers' thoughts.
Jin contemplates for a while before finally giving in," It's only fair if a deal is made by both sides. Plus, these rules are basic aren't they?" I let out a nod at his words making him smile slightly. The others groan at his decision except for Namjoon who proceeds to make his way upstairs, most probably to his own room.
Just as I was about to head to bed as well, Jin's voice stops me.
"I may not seem to be the best brother but let's just say practicing improves me. I'm sorry about Jungkook, apparently he's a nosy kid and won't stop interrogating you until he receives answers. So don't mind him, alright? And as for what Jimin said about bonding, you are free to bond with us as long as you don't plan to backstab us," He jokes and I smile but it doesn't reach my eyes.
"Now off to bed. Jungkook, come out I know you're hiding," Jungkook sulkily walks out the curtain he was hiding behind and passes me a deadly stare. I snicker to myself and rush upstairs.
My hand reaches to unlock the door, but to my dismay it was already open. Mess, was preferably an understatement. My room looked as if someone ran a raid. My eyes widen at my thoughts and I scramble over to my desk. Pulling the drawers roughly, I try to find a specific object.
"Where is it?" I mutter in panic upon no sight of it.
"I can't lose it," Another panicked hiss escapes my mouth.
I let out a huff and plop myself on the bed. Who entered my room?
"Where in the world are my documents?" Another voice shrieks it was probably the room next to mine.
I rush out of my room and stand near the door. There stood Jimin with the same look of horror as me. An eye contact was all it took for rage for burn.
