"Her?"

"When will the lecture end?" Soobin whines. It's the first lecture.

Yet it feels like this has been going on for hours.

"Why would we need maths when we have a calculator?" He makes a disgusted face and erases his wrong answer for the umpteenth time.

"I feel the same. It's my second day and I already feel like home schooling," I exaggerate and stretch my legs before giving them a few pats.

"Hush you both," Hayoon silences us as she skillfully solves the sums being the ace she was. Apparently, she topped 2 years in a row. If she does the same this year, the university is willing to give her free course recommendation and career guidance. But I know that Hayoon would not, being the petty person she is.

"How are you dating her?" I whisper to Soobin.

"I heard that," Hayoon replies while her eyes stay focused on her notebook.

"Well I'm glad you did," I fake a smile at her. But she doesn't react neither does she reply back.

"Will you help your pretty, cute and handsome boyfriend?" Soobin pouts at her as Hayoon flicks his forehead rather harshly making me snicker.

"Choi, Park and our new student... what's so funny?" The professor narrows his eyes and stops teaching. We managed to gain the attention of 2 of the principal's sons. I could see the amusement on their faces. I throw a quick glare to them before burying my nose in the book.

"This will be your final warning. And you, Miss Park, I had high hopes from you," The professor sighs dramatically and I had to stop myself from rolling my eyes.

"I'm sorry sir," Hayoon mumbles and bows while me and Soobin stare at her in astonishment. The professor doesn't respond and goes back to teaching making me scoff to myself.

As the lecture ends Hayoon rushes out of the classroom without saying a word. I follow her and grab her wrist to stop her from walking further.

She looks at me but doesn't utter a single word. I gulp the lump forming in my throat and say. "Hayoon I'm sorry. I didn't know that he would scold us like that."

Hayoon's expression softens but she doesn't say anything. She just pats my shoulder and walks away. Was that a good thing? I hope so. I would certainly not like to get on Hayoon's bad side. Soobin has already told me about Hayoon's fights.

"Byeol? Where is Hayoon?" Suddenly Soobin's arrives panting and I can see that he's very worried.

"She went that way," I mumble not wanting to talk much right now.

"Why does she hate me?" I blurt out and my eyes widen realizing what I just said.

Soobin lets out chuckle," You've got it all wrong. She doesn't hate you. If she would, then she wouldn't let me hang out with you. Give her time. She's not the one who likes to make friends," He says and ruffles my hair before running upstairs.

What a weird couple. Always running off to somewhere. Glancing at my wrist watch, I make way to the cafeteria. Sadly I'd have to eat alone today. The cafeteria was too quite for my liking. I suspiciously glanced around trying to find the reason, when my eyes landed on the culprits. The 7 sons. Everyone was sneakily staring at them and judging them. But those Kims did not even care. They were having their lunch with poker faces.

I lifted my tray and walked to a single seat beside the window. Soobin and Hayoon were still not back. I wonder what's taking them so long. My phone suddenly vibrates and I take it out just to see my mom calling. I stare at it for a moment and then sigh before answering it.

"Byeol?"

"Yeah mom?"

"I'm sending you an address. After your school finishes come over there."

"Alright."

Mom just hums in a response and cuts the call. Not even a bye?

The last lecture was boring as well, though Soobin's company made it fun. Hayoon, however, seemed to be super cautious whenever I was with him. Does she suspect that I'll tell her secret?

"Byeol!" Soobin yells out snapping me out of my thoughts. He gives me a weird look. "Are you okay? I've been calling you for like 5 minutes now."

I just nod and smile but don't dare to utter a word. Hayoon walks ahead both of us and she seems lost in thoughts. We run up to her and interlock her hands with ours. She seems taken aback seeing me do this though she doesn't push me. That's an upgrade, isn't it?

"Why so serious Yoon?" He uses the nickname which reminds of those guys yesterday. Hayoon stares at me and shifts uncomfortably after realizing I still remember.

"Am I? I was just so engrossed in studies today," She nervously laughs making me roll my eyes. I check my phone to see the address of the area mom sent. It was somewhere around here but I didn't exactly know where. I remove my arm from her making her look at me confusingly.

"Sorry guys but I can't walk with you from here. I have to be somewhere today," I apologize feeling guilty but Soobin gives me smile shrugging it off.

"It's okay Byeol. We'll anyways be meeting tomorrow, right?" Both me and Hayoon nod to his question.

"But I don't know where the place is," I mumble with a sheepish smile making Hayoon's lip twitch, though she wears a poker face once again. I was so close!

I hand my phone to Soobin who squints his eyes and looks somewhere at the left before guiding me.

"Cherry Vines should be over at the last," He points to the direction making me gaze over there.

"Cherry Vines?" Hayoon questions looking at me in amusement.

"Why? What's so good about it?" I question back.

"Cherry Vines is a posh area of this city. Only famous businessmen, politician and governors reside here," She informs making me a nod in disbelief.

"Show me the address," She says to Soobin who passes her my phone. She rummages her eyes through the address. I can't read her expression but she looks at me in suspicion.

I raise an eyebrow to which she shakes her head and passes the phone back to me. I feel a chill run down my spine seeing her glare.

"Bye Byeo-" Soobin was cut off by Hayoon who started dragging him away. I stood in the street with a questioning gaze before dragging my feet towards the location.

My eyes wander around in astonishment at the enormous mansion. I ring the doorbell and wait patiently.

A middle aged man opens the door and passes me a wide smile before letting me in.

"Byeol! How good to see you," His enthusiasm makes me smile awkwardly as I bow at him.

"Oh come on dear, skip the formalities. After all we're going to be a big happy family soon," I furrow my eyebrows at his words, quite taken-aback by what he said.

"Sir, I don't quite understand what you mean," My dumbfounded face makes him chuckle.

"It's alright dear you'll understand soon," With that he pats me on the head before disappearing off to somewhere.

As I sit on the couch I notice two familiar figures. The principal's son. That means the man I met earlier was the principal? I take a good look at the man once again and gasp after realizing that it's my principal.

"You again?" One of then notices me because of my gasp and grumbles. I throw both of them a strong look of hatred.

"And what might you be doing here?" My question causes them to look at each other, and smirk, before they look back at me.

"This mansion belongs to our stepfather. The one you saw right now," I try not to show my anger knowing that I'll have to stay with them for today and watch their disgusting faces.

"Byeol! Would you like to eat anything?" The man from earlier call out making me shake my head politely.

Suddenly, my phone rings. It's mom.

"Byeol, did you reach at the right address?"

"I guess so."

"That's good. I'm sorry hun, I won't be able to come over today. So you will have to stay with them till I arrive."

"But mom-"

"Take care and don't trouble them, okay?"

"I am Byeol. Who are you?" Since I am going to be stuck with them for a while, why not get to know the rivals? They say to learn information about your enemies in order to bring them down.

"Oh wow, look at her. Weren't you the one telling us to go away yesterday?" The guy narrows his at me.

"It's fine Jungkook. She's just a kid after all," The said guy went silent. What an obedient little child.

"Mind you, I'm 19," I retort back arguably making the other guy raise an eyebrow.

"Well miss 19, it was a pleasure meeting you. I am Yoongi," He extends his hand towards me making me stare at it suspiciously. I shake his hand and let go as soon as possible.

"Scaredy little kitten, are we?" He mocks making me scowl at him.

"Shut up,"

"You don't get to order us around. This is our house, you get it?" The overflowing ego is surely the most noticeable feature. Point to be noted.

"Kids stop fighting with your sister," Sister? Wait what is happening?

"Your mom didn't inform you? Oh I suppose she wanted to keep it a surprise for you, my bad," He utters apologetically but I didn't have time for this.

"Are you adopting me? Is mom really putting me in adoption? I though she was kidding," Upon hearing my words the latter break into fits of laughter leaving me dumbfounded.

"Byeol, your mom isn't putting you for adoption. Me and your mom are going to get married soon. Isn't that so great?" My smile fades upon hearing his words.

"Married?" My voice comes off as a whisper because all of them stare at me in confusion. Clearing my throat, I give them a tight smile.

"Can I use the restroom?" The blondie, who suddenly appeared out of nowhere, has to guide me there and from his sour expression I can see he really despises it.

Without giving him a thank you I get in and lock the door. I call a number and wait for the person on the other line to pick up.

"Iris? What's wrong? Why are you calling at this time of the hour?"

"I need you to give me the information of a person. I've sent you the details, do not tell Boss. Don't you dare tell him anything about this."

"What? Okay fine."

"I'm hanging up now, bye."

I turn on the tap letting the sound of water be heard outside as well so that they don't mark me as someone suspicious.

"Byeol's here everyone," I heard the man speaking as soon as I step in the living room. My eyes widen in horror upon seeing the 7 guys.

"Her?" One of them screeches loudly making me cover my ears.

"Now now, Hoseok, that is not the right way to behave with guests okay? Plus she will be your sister soon. So you better get used to it," Looks like they had no clue as well.

Out of nowhere, my phone rings catching everyone's attention. The number was unknown so I had no clue. But upon hearing the voice I knew who it was.

"I heard you're back. Let's meet tomorrow."
