―𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐆𝐔𝐄

The sky was tar-black. Black clouds sprawling all across the sky, billowing in from the west. The clouds were moving towards the sound of agony. Puddles began plinking as the rainfall became heavier. The scent of rain was dark and heady. A stillness fell over the streets, and in the silence comes a low cackle of thunder. There lay 3 figures, tied up on the ground. The agent walked closer to them and knelt down, her eyes scan their face and she lets out a chuckle.

"Look how the table have turned. Who's the one tied up now, hmm?" She pouts taking hold of one of the guys' chin and harshly shakes it.

"Now, we have two options," Just as she begins to speak the guys furiously shake their heads in fear.

"Oh? What is this? I thought you were as excited as I was. Such a pity," She clicks her tongue before reloading the gun.

"Any last words?"

"I'm sorry," Mumbled a guy before looking down, showing that he was ready to take the pain. The agent didn't hesitate before stabbing the figure on the ground in the shoulder. The pain ran through the his entire body making the him let out a loud groan while clutching his shoulder in pain. The pain ceased soon as the guy fell unconscious to the ground. The darkness was engulfing and seemed to fully consume any spec of light. Silence came unannounced as the abandoned building stood in the cold.

The agent's face grew grim as her eyes blurred with her own tears. With a blink of an eye she didn't even feel her finger twitch on the trigger. The shot was muffled, as though the sound travelled through sea water in her ears. She could only watch, still, as the other man stumbled back in shock and stared down at the red blossoming in his chest, before he collapsed and the gun fell from the agent's trembling, cold hands.

The agent fell down on her knees, her hands no longer holding the gun. She looked down, but there wasn't a single tear escaping her eyes. She was too tired. She felt numb at this point.

Opening her puffy eyes she took a look at the enchanting sea, the waves crashing vigorously quick. The merciless winds caused the enormous waves to crash and erupt like lava coming down from a raging volcano. It splits like an aggressive wild animal, angered by the vigorous storm. The waves punching and beating the rocks with all of their might and the gusts knife, the piercing thorns of branches. The thunder roared louder with the turbulent atmosphere. Even the nature knew, what is right and what is wrong. The sky looked angry and unforgiving as the guy removed his mask.

"Good job, you passed the test. Welcome to AIA, Byeol or should I say Iris?"

She finally got in, but at what cost?
