san knew from a young age he was special. his entire life he waited for his special moment ; the day he'd present. every male in san's family for the past eight generations have been alphas, and he knew he'd be the best. his alpha father, his omega mother and beta sister were the prime example of a normal family.

when san finally turned sixteen, though, his dreams were shattered. he woke up feeling hot all over, sweating, and his stomach cramping.

his dad explained what would happen when he presented, and this is nothing like what he described. his mother came upstairs to wake him for school, and she immediately knew from the smell that her son was presenting.

as an omega.

his light, clean scent had shifted into the sickening sweet smell of caramel and honey. his hips got wider, along with the meat on his thighs and behind. usually when alphas present, they grow in height, and san remained at 5'8 ; a normal height for male omegas. he turned his entire room upside down, rearranging everything to his liking and making his own nest that's he'd spend his first heat in.

san didn't attend school for a week.

and when he came back, everyone treated him so differently. some of his friends who already presented as alphas, stopped talking to him completely. and others had ill intentions, so he stayed far away as possible. he finished high school as a loner, the shame of boasting his future alpha status now a dark cloud casted over his ego.

and where san is now, is decent to say the least.

having spent the last years of his life hating his status, he can't help but wonder how his life would have turned out if he presented differently.

maybe he would have gotten accepted into the collage he wanted to attend, that was majority alpha.

maybe he would have gotten that job if he didn't deny the interviewer a 'favor' from a 'pretty little angel' like him.

and maybe his father would have treated him differently, call him to check on him more,

be proud of him.
