Day 6

"This is so boring!" You shouted at the sky.

All you heard was the faint sounds of seagulls passing by and the crashing of waves beneath your feet. You kicked off your sandals somewhere and continued walking barefoot across the beach.

Your neighbors probably heard you shouting like a lunatic but who cares.

You were released from the hospital just this morning. The doctor told you to take it easy for a while because you hurt your arm during the incident.

Oh hell nah.

You wanted to return to work and see the Mers again but no. Fowler won't accept you back in yet. He wanted you to take at least a day or two off from work. Even after you literally walked 20 painful minutes from your house to the facility, HE WON'T LET YOU IN!

You worked as a doctor for doughnut's sake! And for the past 5 days, as you work, you only sat in your small crappy but the still amazing and expensive-as-hell looking office and check up on both Mer pods then play with them. Then you ate snacks.

Most importantly, you wanted to hear the rest of Optimus' story!

You pouted childishly and kicked the sand. You sat down on a rock near the water with a huff escaping your lips. You could've contacted your friends instead of doing this. But sadly, you weren't that close with any of them.

The sky was slowly turning dark, you could see the lights from houses and the path starting to lighten up. You pulled out the flashlight that your parents insisted you to bring and hold it in your hands.

You spent a couple of minutes staring at the sunset. Staring at how the colors shifted from warm red-ish orange to dark blue and purple. You silently waved at the disappearing sun and watched as the sky turned dark.

After a while of staring at nothingness, you started to stand up. You stretched your limbs and winced when you felt a slight pain in your right arm.

"Ouch! Oh god, woman up you wimp." You mumbled to yourself.

You turned flicked your flashlight on and started walking towards your house when you heard something.

"What..." You raised an eyebrow and moved your flashlight around, trying to locate where the source is.

You hopped off the rock and continued walking near the water. There were a lot of rocks in this area, you just hoped that you won't fall because that would hurt like hell.

One injured arm is enough, thanks.

You didn't need to add the rest of your limbs to the 'injured and useless' list.

You heard rustling and frantic splashes near you. You climbed above the rocks and got closer to the sound, occasionally waving your flashlight around.

Then you saw it.

A medium-sized great white shark. It was caught in those big fishing nets, tangled would be a better word for this. Around 15 feet/4,5 meters in size. But it's color is a bit different than what you saw in pictures. It has a darker shade of grey and white and has a purple tint on the edge of its fins?

For a moment you were worried if it was sick or something from the color of the shark. Then you thought it was probably because of the bad lighting.

You took a deep breath as you looked at it.

"Should I help it? Should I leave it? Why...why am I even here right now?"

The longer you stood there thinking about your choices, the shark's trashing gets even harder. You rocked your feet back and forth and fiddled with your fingers.

"Okay, okay. Let's do this!" You finally said.

You crept closer to the creature and searched for a sharp rock you could use to cut the fishing net. Your eyes quickly scanned the beach for the rock you were looking for and you quietly gave a triumph cheer when you found it.

You lifted the rock in your hand and crouched near the trapped shark.

It seems to realize your presence and started to move closer to you. Water splashed all over as it swam towards you.

"Oh, cheese balls. Mom, if you find inappropriate stories I read on my phone, I'm sorry I couldn't help myself. And I'm the one who broke grandma's tea set, not the wind. Dad, you're a good man. The best dad ever. You could've taught me how to ride a bike when I was younger, but I don't really care anymore." You babbled.

You dropped the things you held in your hands and shut your eyes.

"I just came out from the damn hospital and now I'm going to get eaten by a shark. I shouldn't have eaten sushi, now karma is finally here." You complained.

You wanted for the shark to bite you or eat you. But after a while, you remembered that it was trapped and tangled in big ass fishing nets and it can't get out.

BUT STILL.

You kept your eyes closed just in case.

Then you felt a nudge on your knees. The force almost made you stumble backward. You opened your eyes and saw that the shark is now laying is head on your feet, you feel your toes screaming in pain.

"Oh god..." You whispered.

This is one big shark. Small compared to the ones you read about but it was still 2 or 3 times your size.

And it's heavy as heck. Your poor crushed toes. Why.

You reached your hand out and pat it gently on its head. When it didn't bite you, you grabbed the sharp rock from the sand and started to slice the net.

"You better not eat me for dinner after I save you." You muttered to the shark.

It almost seems like it could understand you because it moved it's tail around and opened it's jaw a few times. Was it teasing you? What the frack.

If you were braver than you already were, you would've smacked the thing with your flashlight for almost giving you a heart attack.

"You little-"

You lifted the shark's head with all the strength your flimsy muscles have and succeeded in getting your legs free.

You didn't feel anything.

Literally.

Your legs are numb right now.

You waddled far over to the deeper part of the water to free the other side of the shark. You felt it's tail smack you in the back of your head.

"Fu- Hey! I'm saving you right now you ungrateful son of a shark! If you don't stop right now, I'll leave you here for the fisherman to find in the morning, bring you to a sushi restaurant and chop you up into delicious little pieces of sushi that I'll gladly eat! If you don't want that to happen I advise you to stay as still as a statue and shut your friggin mouth." You screeched.

In another life, you could've become a rapper.

It only took 5 minutes to cut up the nets and free the shark. It didn't even move the whole time. You had to check on it every few seconds to see if it was breathing. Your clothes are officially soaked with water now. You pulled the remaining pieces of nets away.

The shark stayed still. You checked once more if it's breathing. It was.

You blinked a few times and poked the creature's fin.

"Hey, you're free to go." You said.

It still didn't move.

You rolled your eyes and trudged back to the head of the shark. You brought your face closer to it.

"Hey." You started. "I'm sorry for threatening you. I was just kidding about you being sushi."

Then it started to move. Its head turned to look at you and it used his nose to bump yours gently.

You wiped your nose with the hem of your shirt and pat its head in return.

"You're welcome, buddy."

The shark had trouble going in the water so you helped it by pushing it and splashing water onto it. Soon, it swam underwater and resurfaced to look at you one last time before swimming away.

You waved at it. "Goodbye, you sassy shark! Please remember me so you won't eat me the next time I go swimming!" You shouted.

After a while, you let out a loud, exasperated groan and flop like a dead fish on the sand.

"What the hell just happened?" You sighed.

"Y/n! Honey where are you?!" You heard the voice of your mom call from somewhere on the beach.

"Oh my god, (F/n) [Father's name], what if she ran away from home? Why would she do that? What did we do wrong? We have to tell the police. Come on." She rambled.

"Calm down, dear. I'm sure she's just somewhere on the beach, you know she likes to take night walks here." Your dad said. "See, she left her sandals here."

You huffed.

"But what if she left her sandals here to swim and she drowned? (F/n) we need to find her!"

"Y/N! Y/N! WHERE ARE YOU?!" Your mother shouted.

Oh, my fricking god...
