━━ ezra was born and raised in westend, frankfurt, germany, where he spent most of his childhood before moving to seoul, south korea, in 2011.
━━ growing up, ezra only had his uncle as family, since he never got the chance to know his parents. his uncle raised him and became the most important person in his life.
━━ he trained for a total of five years before finally making his debut.
━━ when it comes to sports, football ❪ soccer ❫ is his all-time favorite, but he also enjoys watching hockey.
━━ ezra has a big appetite and never says no to a full plate. he loves large portions and is happiest when he's eating good food. his members often tease him about how much he can eat in one sitting.
━━ his uncle was the one who pushed him to go after his dream in music, which led him to where he is today.
━━ ezra has been a shinee fan since he was a little kid, and the first time he met them, he was so overwhelmed that he ended up crying ❪ vlive 031017 ❫
━━ back in school, ezra's favorite subjects were math and physical education because they came naturally to him, but literature was definitely not his thing.
━━ cooking is something ezra tries to avoid as much as possible. he's not great in the kitchen, so he usually relies on takeout or pre-made meals when he's by himself.
━━ before music, he was actually pretty serious about soccer. his position was center forward.
━━ ezra contributed to writing the lyrics for 'the 7th sense' alongside taeyong and mark.

━━ he joined sm entertainment through their online audition in 2010 and even won the everysing online contest.
━━    ezra admires his uncle more than anyone and often talks about how much he looks up to him.
━━    although he tries to always act brave, ezra is actually easily frightened. he gets startled easily and is usually the first to scream or jump at sudden sounds or surprises.
━━    the only reason he chose sm entertainment was because of shinee. he wanted to be in the same company as his favorite group ❪ nct's night night radio ❫
━━    ezra's clumsiness is almost legendary among his members. he's constantly bumping into furniture, dropping things, or tripping over his own feet.
━━    ezra adopted two black cats, named doli & mia, and often talks about how much he adores them.
━━    despite being shy about it, ezra is actually really good at drawing. he loves sketching in his notebook during downtime, but he rarely shows his art to others person.
━━    ezra was nominated at the baeksang art awards in 2021 as the 'best new actor' for his role in the popular kdrama 'sweet home'.
━━    two years later, in 2023, ezra received his first-ever blue dragon series award for his role in the coming-of-age drama 'weak hero class 1'.
━━    ezra was diagnosed with insomnia at a young age and still struggles with it today.
━━    ezra originally auditioned to be a vocalist but ended up debuting as the group's main rapper.
━━ to keep himself occupied during sleepless nights, ezra once decided to teach himself how to read hieroglyphics, just because he thought it'd be a cool & unique skill to develop.
━━ his members once pranked him by pretending to forget his birthday, only to find out ezra had genuinely forgotten it himself as well.
━━ ezra's living space might look messy, but he insists it's 'organized chaos'. he knows where everything is, even if it doesn't look like it.
━━ in january 2019, ezra had to go on hiatus due to health issues. he later came back, in july 2019, after taking some time to recover.
━━ he was once so exhausted that he actually cried when his alarm went off, because he had just managed to fall asleep ❪ instagram live ❫.
━━ ezra is notorious for not answering his phone. he once joked that no one should ever rely on him in an emergency because chances are, he won't pick up.
