The cool breeze outside made Atlas want to move back into bed and curl up under all his blankets. But he couldn't do that, he had to meet with his relator and sign some paperwork.

It had been a week or two since Atlas had found the house just down his street, and planned his life out in the house. And when the relator had interrupted his day dreaming.

Now he had contacted the realtor, looked at the house, and all that was left to do was sign the papers — then the house was his. Atlas was excited, he was ready to finally take the next step in his life and move out — and hopefully have Derek move in with him.

Speaking of Atlas and Derek, the two had gotten closer once the divorce between Addison and Derek was finalized. Them getting closer meant a lot of time spend together walking deep in the trails behind Dereks trailer, or laying down on the grass and gazed up at the brightly lit night sky.

"Atlas...?" Derek nudged the man beside him, Derek was there to pick Atlas up and take him to the relator before going to work. Since Oliver and Eliza had pre rounds he couldn't use the car.

Atlas continued to look out the window, he was deep in thought about his life, he was moving out and it felt surreal to him.

"Atly?" Derek lightly shook the male beside him with concern etched across his face.

"Yeah? That sounds great." Atlas muttered.

Derek let out a chuckle, a smile was tugging at his lips. "We're here." Derek pointed to the relators office.

"Oh, okay, thank you." Atlas nodded still distracted.

Derek let out a small sigh and parked his vehicle. He unbuckled his seatbelt and got out of his vehicle. Atlas furrowed his eyebrows at the action, Derek paid no attention to the confused face Atlas held, as he placed his own hand in Atlas and walked right by his side to the building.

"When you buy your first house, I'm gonna throw you a party and everyone's gonna bring some kind of plant." Brian told his son who had a goofy grin on his young face. Atlas was only sixteen at the time.

"Really?" Young Atlas beamed in joy.

"Of course my boy! Why wouldn't I?" Brian wrapped an arm around his sons shoulder.

"I-I just thought that you wouldn't ever let me move out. Mom always says she wants me to live with you guys forever." Atlas told his father and Brian chuckled.

"Oh my boy. One day your gonna find someone else who'll love you and want to spend the rest of their lives with you. And I'll make sure that you get the housewarming party you deserve."

Atlas sniffled and wrapped his arms around his father tightly. "I love you, dad."

"I love you too bud."

Everyone seemed to come up to Atlas throughout the day, and each and every person was complaining about Derek being a cranky crankpot. Even Bailey had told Atlas that Derek was in a mood — okay, what she had actually done was corner the attention and tell him that if Derek kept moping around she would make sure his ass was thrown back into scut for a few days. (Atlas didn't want that.)

So with the threat lingering in the back of his mind, Atlas made it his mission to find Derek. Once he did he pulled the neurosurgeon into an on-call room where he sat Derek down.

"What's going on?" Atlas questioned softly.

"Nothing. Nothing at all." Derek lied, and Atlas knew it was a lie.

Atlas didn't wanna pressure Derek into telling him — he did want to know though, he wanted to know so he could help.

"Do you have any spare time?" Atlas questioned and Derek nodded in response. "Let's go then!"

Atlas grabbed onto Dereks hand and lead him away towards the attending's lounge where Atlas had a box of candy stored.

Jake and Pete Weitzman were 35 year old adult pygopagus conjoined twins, or in more simple words, they were conjoined adult twins. The two were attached at the lumbar sacral junction. The brothers had come in about 6 months ago, or that was what Atlas was told, for a separation procedure. But the opened out because of the risk, but now they were back.

Atlas was up in the gallery watching the surgery, his had been canceled since the patient had backed out of the heart surgery.

"The saphenous vein in place?" Atlas heard Derek ask, him being on the case.

"Yeah I'm ready." Mark told Derek. Mark and Derek were still rocky — rocky was a understatement — they were often at each other's throats and every time Mark would so much as send a glance towards Atlas, Derek would get very protective and clingy. (Not that Atlas minded.)

"Bailey?" Derek looked to the resident.

Bailey nodded, "I'm good."

"Chief?" Derek asked the chief, he was taking charge too, and Atlas couldn't help but find it hot.

"I'm ready when you are." Webber addressed Derek.

"Alright. Moment of truth. Removing the clamps." Atlas watched from the gallery as Derek removed the clamps.

"Dr. Bailey, check the nerve stimulator."

"SAP's are falling."

"Alright, pump up the blood pressure. We need as much blood through the area as possible."

Atlas watched as a complication happened and there was nothing he could do. The cardio surgeon leaned on the edge of his seat as he waiting for the nerves to twitch.

"I'm going up to 2 milliamps." Bailey fiddled with the machine that would send shocks to the nerves. "Up to 3."

"I see something. A flicker on the hamstring of twin A. Pump it up." Webber exclaimed.

"Up to 4." Bailey told them as she heightened the machine.

There was some kind of conversation between the doctors that Atlas couldn't hear, it was a lot of mumble jumbo.

"We have a signal." Bailey cheered.

"Congratuations ladies and gentlemen, we have 4 functioning legs." Derek announced joyfully.

"Whoo!" Atlas cheered rising from his seat.

Everyone claps.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, on three. One. Two Three." The two tables holding Pete and Jake are separated. Surgeons move in and begin to work on the now separated twins.

"It'd be nice if every love triangle could be fixed with a scalpel." Derek muttered, as he watched Atlas give him a bright smile and a wave.

"If so you'd have stabbed me with a 10-blade a long time ago." Atlas laughed at Mark comment.

"I'm proud of you." Atlas wrapped his arm around Dereks shoulder as he whispered the words.

"Yeah?" Derek questioned with a small smirk.

Atlas hummed and turned so he and Derek were face to face. Derek was the first to react and lean in and place his lips to Atlas's.
