"Good morning, Star." Atlas cooed as he strolled into Starlees room. He flicked on the light to see the eight month old standing wobbly as she held onto the railings.

Starlees hands were out reached as she made grabby motions for teddy bear that was on the floor.

"Oh, you want your bear?" Atlas crouched down and picked up the teddy bear — the teddy bear that had welcomed the name as fuzzball.

Atlas handed Starlee her teddy bear, the eight month old gladly took the bear into her little hands and clutched it to her chest.

Starlee loved her teddy bear. She would take it everywhere with her if she could. The only time she wouldn't — and got terribly upset — was when her teddy was in the wash.

"Ah, my little girl. Are you hungry? Huh? Do you want breakfast, dada Derek's making something." Atlas talked as he picked up a few things off the floor.

Starlee babbled as she reached out with one hand for her father. Atlas took that as a sign to pick her up, so he did. Atlas picked up Starlee and held her on his hip.

"Yeah, let's go down stairs and have breakfast." Atlas continued to talk as if Starlee could talk back. "And let's bring teddy too."

"What happened between you and Avery?" Atlas asked as he started to walk beside Christina, both having been paged by Owen to the pit.

"Nothing. Nothing happened." Christina was quick to deny as she opened the door for her and Atlas.

Atlas shrugged, knowing damn well he would find out from his brother whenever he found out. "You paged?" Atlas asked the red head trauma surgeon.

"Yeah," Owen nodded at Atlas before he turned to look at Christina. "I know you think I don't understand you, so I got you and Atlas a present — since you both are a cardio 'both or none' kinda deal."

Owen lead both Christina and Atlas into a trauma room where a monitor was beeping erratically, and a woman was leaning over a man's open chest wound.

"Come on. Come on. I don't want to lose him. All right. What do we got? Fine V-Fib. Paddles." The blond woman ordered like there was no tomorrow.

Christina smiled, "You got us a cardiac trauma."

"Yay!" Atlas clapped excitedly, happy that he would be able to have a good bloody surgery.

"I didn't just get you a cardiac trauma." Owen pointed out. "I got you a cardio god, uh, or goddess."

"But I already have Atlas."

"She already has me."

"Saline. Lock and load to 50. Clear." The defibrillator whirled and beeped as the "cardio goddess" worked her magic.

Atlas wasn't threatened at the new cardiothoracic person. He was Atlas Lee-Sunny (soon to be Shepherd) no one could compare to him. Except maybe Christina in a few years.

When the blond was done doing her work, and had moved away from the patient and towards Atlas and everyone else. Jackson was the first to introduce himself, he was on Atlas's service.

"Nice to meet you. Jackson Avery." Said man held his hand out for the woman to shake.

"Teddy Altman." The now named woman shook Jackson's hand in return.

When the two stopped shaking hands Atlas stepped forward and held out his own hand, "Hi, I'm Atlas Lee-Sunny. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too."

Christina looked right at Teddy and only at Teddy. "Teddy Altman. I — I've never heard of you."

Teddy looked down at Christina's white coat where her name was stitched in. "Christina Yang. I-I've never heard of you either. So I guess that makes us even."

Owen let out a scoff, one that didn't go unnoticed by Atlas. "Teddy and I, we served in Iraq together, and she's going to be joining us for a little while."

Owen placed a hand on Teddys back as he started to lead her away. "Come on. I'll introduce you to the chief."

"Yang." Atlas muttered as swung his arm loosely around Christina's shoulder.

"Who the hell is she?"

"Bails!" Atlas called out, only for the short woman to ignore him. "Mandy!"

Miranda Bailey whirled around. "No more nicknames." She pointed her finger at Atlas threateningly.

Atlas only chuckled as he moved faster so he was in step with Bailey and Richard Webber. "Chief." Atlas nodded his head kindly in greeting.

"Chief! Chief!" Christina yelled out as she rounded a corner.

Bailey didn't even turn around as she started to address the resident. "Now is not the time, Yang. The chief has emergency surgery."

Yang didn't falter. "The chief has an emergency cardio situation."

Both Richard and Miranda turned to look at Atlas. When Atlas noticed the looks that were being sent his way he imminently threw up his hands, "Not me!"

"The new attending doesn't even know how to put in a temporary pacemaker." Christina complained.

Richard sighed, "Yang."

Bailey turned to him quickly, "Do not engage."

Then she turned to Atlas, who was ready to say something. "Nothing out of you either."

"Did you or did you not ask this man for a new cardio attending?" Bailey asked.

"Yes, but..." Christina nodded, she sent a glance to Atlas.

Atlas didn't care if Christina or anyone else wanted another cardio attending. He was the chief and if he had another cardio attending then that meant the more he was able to delicate.

"And did he or did he not bring in attending after attending, none of whom seem to please you and all of whom you ran off? The only one that stayed was Atlas here." Bailey threw her hand out and pointed towards Atlas in gesture.

"That is not a fair assessment." Christina shook her head. She definitely didn't like the way this was going.

"Doctor Yang, has it ever occurred to you that you might be the problem."

Ouch! Atlas winced at the comment made to Christina. He didn't believe that she was the problem, but it was definitely her pickiness that went hand in hand with this situation.

"R-right. Leave this man alone. Go torture the new attending." Bailey finished before she turned back around to face Atlas and the chief.

"Sir..." Christina trailed off, but the older man wasn't going to listen.

"Yang," Richard took his glasses off and tilted his head. "Do as Bailey says."

"And you are due in surgery."

"Bailey, what would I do without you?"

"Die. We would all die." Atlas muttered as he dramatically wrapped an arm around Bailey. "Bails here keeps us in check."
