"Flowers." Atlas looked up from the wedding magazine he had been looking at. "What do you think?"

Mark and Owen, who had been leaning against the nurses station — all well Atlas sat in the rolly chair behind the desk — both gazed down at the images Atlas was showing them.

Mark grinned, the image of Derek hauling buckets of pretty girly flowers filled his mind. "Maybe something like that one?" Mark suggested as he pointed to the picture of lilac's and dahlia's.

"Do you even know what those are?" Owen raised an eyebrow at the plastic surgeon.

Mark hummed, "Lilac's and dahlia's."

Atlas smiled brightly as the other two men conversed about flowers and which ones would suit the wedding better.

Derek rounded the corner, two to-go cups placed in his hands. "Hi hun." Derek greeted as he handed Atlas his hot chocolate. Then Derek greeted the other two standing against the nurses station.

As Derek, Owen and Mark talked amongst themselves, Atlas had been gazing at all the other doctors sitting in the hallway waiting area. There were people who looked teary eyed, and others who had bright red faces.

Something bad had happened, and Atlas didn't know who was at fault.

Oliver sat across from Eliza, who had gotten home only seventeen hours ago and got right to work. Eliza had told her siblings and mother — that also included Derek and Starlee, the younger one not even knowing what was happening all about how well Los Angeles had gone, even how the Addison Montgomery had offered her a job.

( A job that she wasn't sure she would be taking yet, she figured she would finish her year of residency first. She wasn't sure though, she really didn't want to leave her family and Seattle Grace Mercy West had a great residency program. But at the privet practice in LA, Eliza could go into fetal medicine and stuff like that with a teacher like Addison Montgomery. The only twist was that the woman she wanted to work under was her brothers soon-to-be-husbands ex wife. Well, only time will tell. )

Oliver's butt was starting to hurt and he so desperately wanted to get up and walk around. He sat beside Jackson yet neither talked to each other, neither really knew each other. It was dead silence besides the few odd words that would be whispered.

Eliza eyes looked around the waiting room. They finally settled on Oliver, who had blood scattered all over his scrubs. She took notice in how steady his hands were despite how much of his body was covered in blood. In that moment, Eliza had doubtfully wondered if this was all Oliver's fault — to her defence, Oliver was the only one still covered in blood.

Eliza's eyes than moved towards Lexie, someone she had worked with earlier in the day. The two hit it off, both being friendly with each other. And not to mention she was her twin brothers fiancées half sister. Lexie had puffy eyes and she looked nervous.

Who wasn't nervous?

Oliver was the first to notice Jackson Avery and Alex Karev jumping out of their chairs and lunging at each other. Both boys— ( they're fighting in a hospital, do they deserve to be called men? ) —tried to throw punches wherever they could. It didn't work to well seeing that all the attending's had rushed over to them.

Atlas had literally jumped out of the rolly chair he had been sitting in — the chair actually falling to the floor with a thud — and quickly discarded his magazine and made his way towards the fight. He pushed his way through the board of people and grabbed the shoulders of the first person he could, that being Alex. He successfully managed to pull him away as other attending's placed themselves in between the two residents.

"That's enough! I said enough!" Richard Webber yelled with so much authority that everyone stopped and froze.

Atlas shifted on his feet, his hands still holding onto Alex's shoulders.

"What happened here tonight, what happened to that patient, was inexcusable. And we're gonna be here 'till I find out who's responsible for it. So until then, you will sit down, you will shut up and you'll wait to be called. Hunt." Richard finished speaking.

The three Lee-Sunny siblings stood beside each other now, all three of them huddled up close as they watched Owen Hunt walk into the interrogation first. "You two will be fine, okay?" Atlas spoke to the younger Lee-Sunny twins as he started to walk away.

As soon as Owen Hunt left the room Oliver was called. He walked into the conference room and took a seat at the table. "Doctor Lee-Sunny. This is Larry Jennings from our board. And this is our in-house council. Start from the beginning, please."

earlier that day, oliver

Oliver had been paged to the ER since it was slammed with a mass causality, a hotel fire. There were around half a dozen burn victims yelling and screaming in the ER and even more in other places. There were a few other cases: a penetrating chest wound and some firefighters with traumas.

Oliver entered the privet trauma room he had been paged too. There stood Doctor Sloan and Doctor Robbins. "You ready for this, Olly?" Dr. Sloan asked.

Oliver nodded his head, "yep."

Doctor Sloan beaconed him over so he could put some peppermint under his nose so the burnt flesh wouldn't smell so bad. Arizona peaked up from what she was doing. "This is Evan Lang. 16, second and third decree burns over 60% of his body. Can you handle this?"

"Yes ma'am." Both nodded their heads at each other.

After awhile Oliver helped clean and peel the skin on the little boy. Evan started to get emotional and Oliver had taken it upon himself to keep him distracted as Dr. Sloan cut into his arm. "Dr. Robbins said your in town looking at a college? Is that right."

"Y-yeah. I got a scholarship to Cornish. I'm not sure I can take the rain." He cried out Sloan cut deeper into his arm.

"I didn't think I would like the rain here either. I'm from a small little town. There wasn't a lot of rain there and it was hot a lot. But when I moved her to Seattle there was so much rain and it was cold." Oliver said as he sat on a stool beside the boys head.

Evan still continued to cry, not as much now that he was being distracted. "Small t-town? L-lots of farmers m-markets?"

"Yes, many." Doctor Sloan and Doctor Robbins continued to clean the skin. After awhile the patient had been knocked out Oliver excused herself.

"What happened after you excused yourself?" Richard asked, more like demanded.

"I went to the washroom and by time I came back Dr. Karev and El — Dr. Lee-Sunny were freaking out."

Richard sighed, "We're you ever a doctor on the patient."

Oliver shook his head. "I was only with Even, before I could go help Alex and Eliza, I had been called back in."

"Thank you."

earlier that day, eliza

Eliza grabbed the chart from Yang, the Korean woman being called onto a case with Miranda Bailey. Eliza read over the chart twice as she walked along side April, one of the Mercy Westers.

"Uh, Cathy Becker?" April asked as and Eliza moved up to the patient on the bed.

"Yeah, hi." The woman smiled as she looked away from her son.

Eliza got down onto her knee, a bright playful smile plastered on her lips. "And you must be Danny. I'm Doctor Sunny. Can you come this way with me?"

The little boy, Danny, happily moved along with Eliza to the hospital bed beside his mothers. Eliza gently lifted the little boy onto the bed and began to check him out, making sure that everything was okay.

"I was scared. My mom getted burned." Danny spoke to Eliza as she pulled her stethoscope away from the little boys back.

"Mommy's all right, baby. You're safe." The woman, Cathy, told her son from where she sat being checked out by April.

"Everyone's safe, and okay." Eliza smiled, "Do you think you can say 'ahh' for me?" Danny nodded and went 'ahh' so Eliza could shine a light into his mouth so she could make sure he didn't have anything at the back of his throat that could harm him later on.

"Very good." Eliza ruffled the blond boys hair before she averted her attention to his chart, writing anything and everything she needed too.

"See, one for them." Reed, who had been standing with April, whispered. Even though her voice had been lowered, El had heard everything she had said.

"And one for us." Kepner whispered back. "Stop being so paranoid."

"They hate us, April..."

Eliza then tuned the two out. She didn't hate the Mercy Westers, she just strongly disliked them. And the fact that the Mercy Westers has taken many jobs away from people Eliza liked.

"Then what happened?" Larry Jennings asked with narrowed eyes.

Eliza paused, "I went to help with other patients."

"What happened when Cathy Becker stopped breathing?" Richard then questioned.

"She needed a crike."

Eliza and Alex quickly jogged over to the patient everyone was crowded over. The female wasn't breathing and needed a crike, it was simple — Eliza had done one before so this wasn't new.

Alex poured some betadine onto the neck of the patient and then Eliza made the cut. She then inserted the tube and Reed started to bag the patient.

A few minutes later, the patient hadn't gotten any better and that's when Atlas had been paged.

earlier that day, atlas

"So you had been working on a patient with chest pains?" Larry Jennings from the board asked in conformation.

"Yes, sir." Atlas nodded. "Then my younger sister, Eliza Lee-Sunny had paged me because the patient she had preformed the crike on wasn't improving."

"Tell us what happened from the second after you had been paged."

"Fuck this." Atlas groaned and moved away from straddling Derek.

"Just go," Derek sighed and leaned up to kiss Atlas on his lips, then his jaw. "I love you."

"Love you too." Atlas told him back as he hurriedly threw his shirt back on and got out of the on-call room

"Do you want me to really tell you what was happening when I got the page? It just after?" Atlas asked because he really didn't wanna tell three people who could easily fire him, that he had been in an on-call room with his fiancé making out and enjoying themselves.

"No... just tell us what happened afterwards."

Atlas stepped into a privet ER room where his younger sister and Alex had loved Cathy Becker into.

Atlas didn't waste any time in stepping forward and taking over cpr. As he did cpr on the patient, the two residents followed instructions and pumped the patient full of drugs.

Eventually everyone showed up and it was crowded. No one knew where to start or how to start even. Everyone was working over each other, and no one could hear each other the yelling.

It was discovered that the patient was going into malti-system failure. The kidneys, liver, lungs. She went into S.V.T.

"She's in S.V.T. Push 6 of Adenosine." Alex said loudly to whoever was listening in the small privet emergency room.

"Systolic's in the 70s. Um, start her on dopamine — 5 mics."

"What the hell?"

Atlas looked to the monitor, "She's in v-fib."

"Okay, starting manual ventilation."

That's when Atlas noticed that the patient, Cathy started bleeding. She was bleeding out from everywhere: her nose, the crike Eliza had done, from between her lips, ears. Everywhere.

In that moment, he knew there was nothing more to be done.

"There was no coming back from that. The patient wouldn't survived. She was dead." Atlas told the people sitting across from him at the conference table.

"So who called time of death?"

"Me."

"Stop!" Atlas shouted and lifted his hands away from the patient. "Everyone stop. It's over. She's gone."

Everyone slowly backed away from what they were doing. Whoever took over cpr after Atlas stopped, whoever had been giving Cathy medication stopped, they all stopped.

"You've lost her. Somebody call it." Atlas spoke once more.

When no one said anything, Derek who had just walked in and read over the chart, called out. "Well, whose patient is she?"

No one answered, not even Atlas. Derek looked to Atlas. And Atlas was the one to call time of death.

"So the only time you had been on this patient was afterwards. When you had been paged by Eliza Lee-Sunny?"

"Yes, sir."

"You can leave now, thank you."

Derek laid in bed, underneath the blankets as he waited for Atlas to finish brushing his teeth. "Baby?" He called out.

Atlas poked his head out from the bathroom in their room. "Yeah?" He mumbled with his toothbrush in hand and foam dripping down from his lips to his chin.

"I know today was stressful." Derek started. "So maybe we could cuddle?" Derek suggested with a smile.

Atlas grinned, the foam spilling even more from his lips. "Please."
