JIEUN SIGHS AS SHE PLOPS down on a chair seated in the middle of the Hybe building's cafeteria, setting her laptop out in front of her and sliding on her headphones.

The cafeteria was fairly empty and quiet, with only a couple of other staff members lounging around or having their lunch.

She had been trying to help work on some of the songs for the group's next comeback, but had gotten nothing done from the 4 hours she had come to work.

Even though she had helped produce 'Angel or Devil' from the group's last comeback, she had only done so because of the help she received from the group's producing team. All of TXT's producers were apparently busy today, working on other songs and projects and no one else had time to help her or teach her.

Not wanting to give up, Jieun had come to the cafeteria in hopes that she could put two and two together and try to at least write a couple of lyrics or make some sort of beat, but she didn't know where to start.

It felt sort of embarrassing, though, looking as lost as a lamb as she stared at her laptop with a blank expression. All the work she had previously done she had done in a practice room or back at her own room in the dorms, and she kept on wishing she had a studio of her own to at least be embarrassed in private because this was just not doing it for her.

Another dreadful sigh escapes her lips as Jieun runs a hand through her hair, trying to build up some motivation.

"I THINK MY STOMACH IS going to eat itself if I don't get any food in my system soon," Hyeon mumbles, rubbing her grumbling stomach in a poor attempt to ease itself from her hunger.

"I don't know how you haven't passed out after not eating breakfast," Namjoon says, walking alongside her as he sips on his iced Americano.

She groans, "I have deadlines I need to meet, I didn't have time to stop or grab anything."

"See, if I hadn't dragged you out of your studio you probably wouldn't have eaten anything at all," Namjoon retaliated, giving her an accusatory look that she knows she shouldn't feel offended for receiving because she knows he's right.

"Don't act as if I haven't done the same for you," Hyeon chastises still.

They make their way inside the cafeteria and quickly order for themselves through their usual back and forth bickering.

Though the conversation they're having as they wait is interrupted as Namjoon looks over the smaller girl's shoulder, noticing a familiar figure sitting further away by themselves.

"Is that Jieun? From TXT?" He asks, squinting his eyes.

Hyeon turns around, eyes roaming the cafeteria until they land on said girl.

Jieun, seated far away from everyone else, types away on her laptop with a distressed look; one that Hyeon recognizes all too well.

"She looks like she's about to explode," Namjoon says.

"Don't say stuff like that, it makes me feel bad." Hyeon grumbles, looking at the girl with a sympathetic look.

He furrows his brows, "Why would you feel bad?"

"Because I'm her senior!" Hyeon says exasperatedly, "But every time I try to build up the courage to go talk to her I get worried that I won't be a good enough senior." She leans in closer, whispering, "Plus, don't you think she's a little bit intimidating? I heard one of her nicknames was 'ice princess,' or something like that."

Namjoon laughs fondly, "You do know you could probably do no wrong in her eyes, right? She looks up to you a lot."

Hyeon sighs, "I know. That's why I get nervous if I try to have a relationship with her. What if I let her down?"

The older boy's teasing smile slowly fades when he sees the genuine concern in Hyeon's face. He hears their name get called out by the server and he takes the packaged food with a thankful smile, grabbing her arm and placing the bag in her hand, "Why don't you go over there and talk to her?" Hyeon's gaze swivels to him with widened eyes, "You don't have to become the best of friends, but you may have some other things in common besides the fact that you're the only female members in boy groups."

Namjoon's encouraging tone manages to calm Hyeon's nerves down, and before she knows it, she's walking over to the table Jieun was sitting at. Soon, she stands across from her junior whose nose is buried deep into her computer, a concentrated look sketched on her face.

"Hi," Hyeon blurts out, standing there awkwardly.

Jieun's head snaps up, and her eyes widen in surprise. She quickly stands up, greeting the older girl with a 90° bow and a fretted 'sunbaenim,' which sends Hyeon into a panic.

She sets the food down on the table, frantically shaking her hands, "You don't have to do all that! I told you you can speak casually with me!"

Jieun sits up properly, "Are you sure?"

"Yes!" Hyeon lets out a breathy laugh, endeared, "You don't have to be so formal every time we see each other," She motions for her to take her seat and Jieun quickly complies.

Jieun looks around the cafeteria, wary, "So... what are you doing here, unnie?"

Hyeon pulls out the chair across from the silver haired girl, "I was just coming down to get some lunch with Namjoon when I saw you sitting here by yourself," She pulls out both containers of food and pops open the lid, sliding one towards Jieun with a smile, "So I thought I'd come say hi," (Lies. She would have nervously walked out and let her guilty consciousness eat her alive if she was by herself).

Jieun's mouth almost waters at the sight of a steaming hot dish of rabokki, but she looks up at Hyeon with guilty eyes, "Unnie, you shouldn't have! I should pay you back, plus I don't know if I'm allowed to eat this before our comeback—"

Hyeon waves a dismissive hand at her, "If any of your staff scolds you about it, you come find me, okay? But for right now, let's eat, yeah?"

Jieun takes the pair of chopsticks Hyeon hands her, looking at her in amazement.

If somebody would have told 13 year old Jieun that her idol would be defending her from strict staff or that she would be eating lunch with the same person that inspired her to audition— or even got her into singing and dancing in the first place— she wouldn't have believed it. She smiles to herself, picking up food with the chopsticks.

Hyeon motions to Jieun's laptop with her chopsticks, "So, what were you working on?"

Jieun looks down at her laptop, the frustration she was previously feeling coming back as she's reminded of what she was trying to work on, "I'm trying to get into producing more, but none of our group's team has time to help or teach me right now, so I figured I would try to figure it out by myself but I've got nothing." She opens her laptop back up and swivels it around to show Hyeon, annoyed written all over her features.

Hyeon takes a look at the screen, seeing that she really had nothing done. She hums, turning the laptop back to Jieun as she thinks over what she should say next, "Do you...want me to help you?"

Jieun looks up at her with wide eyes, "Really?!"

The older girl smiles at her reaction, fighting back an endeared laugh as she nods, "I'm still learning myself, but I can still teach you enough things for you to be able to work on your own,"

Jieun looks around the cafeteria as if she were looking for secret cameras, "You'd really do that, unnie? Are you not busy?"

"Of course!" Hyeon states happily, waving another dismissive hand, "Plus, it's not like I haven't procrastinated and turned things in last minute before,"

She angles Jieun's laptop so that it'a right in the middle where they both can see the screen, pushing the plates of food to the side as she begins to walk her through the basic process.

As Hyeon talks her through it, the sparkle in Jieun's eyes never fade.
