"i have to say, that fighting suit looks really good on her." sam observes.

"no, sam." bucky looks a bit angry.

carrie snickers and whispers to steve. "our lover boy is a little jealous."

bucky scoffs. "no, our mission is to bring her home safely, not check her out."

natasha laughs. "i mean, i'm gay for that woman."

carrie and nat burst out laughing, causing bucky to sigh and walk away, flipping them off behind his head. everyone gets ready to fight, and carrie even takes off her grey pea coat, revealing a white blouse and grey slacks. "before anyone asks, i've fought in more uncomfortable clothes, and i'll be fine."

"wasn't gonna." sam puts his hands up defensively.

steve puts his shield on his back and looks at them. "split up. bucky can improv."

"aye aye, captain." natasha smirks before running off, sam flying close behind her.

steve gives carrie a fatherly look. "you sure you're up to fighting her? this could be hard."

"piss off broski, i've done worse." she barks out a laugh and jogs off.

bucky spots virginia chasing after the men, which are now down to two men. the third one lays on the ground 50 yards back, either dead or unconscious. he doesn't want to figure out which one it is.

more gunshots and the other two drop like rag dolls. bucky calls out to her, walking over. "ginny, i know you're mad but-"

he's cut off by a gun shot and a bullet plinking off his metal bicep. a perfect shot to throw him off guard. "leave bucky!" she walks away, swinging her hips, almost mockingly. "i've got it handled."

"you really shouldn't be killing people everywhere you go!"

"why not?" she glances back. "it's what they made us do!" bucky's eyes flash and a few memories come back to him, like cars zooming on a highway. he tries to brush them away for a bit and focus on their goal.

he makes no move to fight her, only trying to reason with her. sam takes the opportunity and flies in, kicking her in the chest and knocking her over.

"you dumbass!" carrie yells. "now she's even less likely to come back with us!"

steve ignores both of them and call out to virginia. "c'mon ginny, this is exactly the opposite of healing."

"i'll heal when i'm done getting revenge! god steve, i'm not a perfect hero like you! i'm just a villain with confused but determined intentions. and you're not gonna stop me, until i've wiped out every single one of them, right back to my dear parents."

nat jumps in, and grabs ginny in a headlock, which she struggles against. "we're- trying to fight *gasp* hydra as a whole. shield has a big plan, you can help! you can even be the front of the attacks! just don't do it this way, or they'll send people after you!" nat struggles to say.

"i'm fine doing it my way. and if i die, so be it. death never scared me before." ginny says and easily knocks natasha off.

little does she know, nat placed a tracker on the back of ginny's neck, so we can contact her and talk to her later.

ginny pulls the pin of a smoke bomb and throws it, covering her escape.
