"Holy shit, my legs feel like they're about to fall off!" Robin groaned, bent over as she massaged her calves.

"Me too!" Alaska whined. "I must've worn the wrong shoes!"

Renee rolled her eyes at the two girls. "Yeah, or maybe it's because you guys ran the whole way through the corn maze."

"Twice," Chan chimed in, shaking his head. "You should've slowed down!"

"We were having too much fun!" Alaska protested. "Besides, we weren't the ones illegally stealing corn, were we?"

"Who would do that?" you laughed, brows raised.

JJ sunk her hands deep into her pockets, avoiding everyone's gaze.

You deadpanned, staring at your friend in disbelief. "JJ! Girl, I thought you were joking!"

She grinned. "You'll be thanking me later, when we have the best popcorn in the world."

"I'd like to go back to the campsite now!" Han called as he, Felix, and Jeongin joined the group, after having used the restroom.

"Those bathrooms are so gross!" Felix sighed. "Does anyone have hand sanitizer?"

"Ewe, you didn't wash your hands?" Renee cried.

"Poo hands!" Changbin yelled.

"Stop it Bin!" Chan said, but he couldn't stop a laugh from escaping. "How old are you, three?"

"Poo hands, poo hands!" Han cheered.

"You guys are so gross." Seungmin rolled his eyes at them.

"Well then, I will not be holding your hand." Alaska scooted away from her boyfriend. "And of course I don't have hand sanitizer."

"I do," you rummaged around in your purse, before throwing the bottle at the blond. "Make sure all three of you idiots use it, since you didn't wash. So gross."

"There was no sink!" Han protested, rubbing his hands together and giving the bottle back to you. "Now can we go back to the campsite?"

"I'd like to lay down in bed," Robin sighed, smiling when Han reached his hand out to her. "Be glad Hua had the sanitizer, or I would not be touching you either."

"I want to go back to the lake," Minho said. "Maybe I'll have more luck without all you losers mucking around and scaring the fish."

"I'd like to draw!" Riley chimed in. "It's been a long time since I've gotten to draw out in nature, and now that I've found the perfect-" she stopped mid-sentence, glancing at Chan, who stood next to her, guiltily studying the ground.

"She just found the perfect spot at the campsite!" Chan said hastily, patting her on the shoulder. Riley frowned at his hand, and he snapped it back at his side.

"Okay, what was that look?" Tessa demanded, pointing at the two. "Don't act like we didn't see it!"

Riley sighed, shaking her head. "I'll tell you later, girl, it's nothing!"

Alaska smirked at her friend, but didn't say anything.

"Oh, you are so telling me what you know," Mya said, glaring at her friend.

Jeongin grinned at her. "You sure love to gossip, don't you Mymy?"

Her face flamed, and she stared at her shoes. "No, I'm nice, I would never," she mumbled.

He chuckled. "Okay, then let's get you home. Drama free." And he led the way back to the cars.

"Riles, you better get in the car with us!" Tessa insisted, practically dragging her towards Changbin's black Toyota.

"Girl, there's no way I can fit in there with y'all!" Riley rolled her eyes.

"JJ is riding with us!" Mya called, arms linked with your friend.

JJ shrugged apologetically, smiling.

"The car will be much quieter without The Golden Trio!" Felix said enthusiastically, and Alaska slapped his arm.

You just laughed. "Well, I guess that works out perfectly then."

After everyone, dogs and all, piled into the car and you started the drive back to the campsite, Tessa turned on Riley, eyes alight with interest.

"Okay, spill," she demanded.

Riley groaned, shaking her head. "I have nothing to share! Why do you guys always think I have something interesting up my sleeve?"

Tessa shrugged. "Maybe you don't, but I wanna know what that look was between you and Chan. Why the hell aren't you two dating already??"

Riley shrugged. "Maybe the same reason you and Minho aren't dating either."

Tessa glared at her. "Okay that's not the same thing at all. He literally hates me, and he annoys the shit out of me. You and Chan are obsessed with each other! And now you're what... painting with him?"

Changbin snorted from his spot at the drivers seat. "Chris? Painting? That's hilarious."

Riley buried her face in her hands. "No, he's not painting with me."

You gasped. "Oh my gosh, are you painting him?? I remember you promised to draw him back in Jeju, but you never did!"

"Are you gonna paint him naked??" Tessa squealed.

"What?? Tess no what the fuck!" Riley gasped, face bright red. "Why would you even say that?? I'm just painting him while he sits there, fully clothed, back at the campsite!"

Tessa cackled. "Oh my gosh, your face! I'm sorry Riles that was mean, but it was so worth it to see how embarrassed you got."

"Just from imagining him naked!" You couldn't help but join in. "I bet he would look pretty good. You could hang the picture on your wall back home!"

"I hate you guys, why did I decide to ride with you?" Riley groaned, still not looking up.

"Yeah, you two are disgusting!" Changbin chuckled, glancing at you with amusement as he parked the car in front of the campsite. "I don't want to think about my friend naked, so that's end of discussion, please."

You laughed, almost reaching over and grabbing his hand. He grinned at you, snatching your hand up in his and squeezing, before letting you climb out and shut the door.

Tessa raised her eyebrows at you and Riley, completely oblivious to the short moment you and Changbin just had. You mentally cursed yourself. You shouldn't have done that. You were supposed to be focusing on work.

"You better show us the painting when it's finished." Tessa pointed at Riley, before hurrying away towards the clearing.

The other two cars pulled up, and the rest of the group piled out and into the clearing too.

"Can we play hide and seek again?" Mya asked excitedly.

"No Mymy, we have to go to bed," Jeongin laughed, offering his arm to her.

"Oh fine," she sighed, reluctantly taking it. "Goodnight, everyone!" She waved.

"Wait, I'm coming with you!" Tessa exclaimed, hurrying over to her. "I need a cup of tea before bed."

"Wow, you're such an old woman." Minho rolled his eyes. But he followed them all anyway.

As the rest of the group said goodnight, you tramped inside the cabin after JJ and Hyunjin, Changbin behind them.

"Goodnight, boys!" JJ smiled at Changbin and Hyunjin, before disappearing into the bathroom to wash up.

"Hey no wait! Jiah I need to use the restroom!" Hyunjin cried. "I have a long skincare routine, you better let me in right now!" He raced over to the door and began pounding on it.

You and Changbin, now alone, stared at each other. A small smile spread across your lips, but you weren't sure what to say, without losing control and kissing him, or worse. You needed to stay on track, you needed to-

"They're in love with each other, huh?" Changbin interrupted your thoughts.

Your heart rate sped up at his words. Love, huh? Was that what was on his mind?

You nodded. "Yeah... they are really cute together," you agreed, trying to stay detached from the conversation. Talking about love with this man would be your downfall.

He chuckled. "What do you think about love, Hua?"

"What?" you squeaked, cheeks bright red in surprise. "I-I'm not the right person to ask about love. I-"

Changbin smirked at you, snatching up your hand before you could react. "Goodnight, Hua." And he pressed a kiss to the back of it.

You lay in bed, your hand ghosting across the spot his lips has graced. Damn him, you thought, but you couldn't bring yourself to feel bitter.

It was a lot easier to stay away from him when he was angry at you.

waaa my babies! 😭🩵 they're really so precious i love seeing them interact! smooth changbin will be my undoing he's so fucking fhdksjsi i love it. i know it was a bit of a shorter chapter, but i didn't wanna make it too long since i don't want all of the cute fun stuff to be rushed! everyone is just so silly, having a good time! even while hua is trying to be professional she just can't ignore bin 😍 and if you squint, you'll see all the other couples slowly getting closer to each other and i love it! can't wait for the next chapters! give me all your thoughts in the comments!
