──𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲──

It was known all around the world that on the first of October, 1989, forty three women all around the planet gave birth. At exactly the same time all of these women went into labour, which, if you think about it isn't impossible considering how many women are out there in the world. The strange thing about the labours was that none of the forty three women were pregnant at the start of the day in question. Not a single one of them, and yet at twelve o'clock they each simultaneously burst into labour and by three, they had birthed special children, each with their own extraordinary gift.

Now one would think that, that phenomenon was strange enough, but one of the mothers, an eighteen year old american gave birth to twins. A massive shock to the virgin who suddenly had superpowered twins on her hands, so when Sir Reginald Hargreeves arrived, tapping on her door asking for the children, she was more than happy to oblige.

Sir. Hargreeves had come to her parents house, dressed to the nines. Hair slicked back, a monocle resting on his eye and a smart, grey suit with a matching bowler hat. Waiting for him was a long, sleek limousine with a chauffeur stood politely by his open door. The rich, older man had offered to take the children away from the eighteen year old, who agreed without a second thought. Anxious at the prospect of her parents finding out, she gave him her children and instead found herself with sixty-five thousand dollars in exchange. A fair trade, indeed.

The twins, a beautiful boy and girl, were not the only ones adopted by Sir Hargreeves, no. He found himself seven other enhanced babes that he already had special plans for. These newborns were found all over the world, some from the USA, one from Russia and another from Germany, a diverse group of anomalies.

The children were numbered, and instead of names, they were referred to as that number from the day they were born. And as they grew and harnessed their powers, the eight children soon became the faces of superpowers everywhere, the crime-fighting Hargreeves family.
