Aย special thanks toย Anthonycaudill958ย for giving me such motivation to update another chapter! Enjoy!

I took a breath as my eyes locked onto the shy looking girl. So many questions lingered in my mind. That was until I figured out. . . Someone was trying to protect this place that's why! Someone must have knew that she was inside. Or was it that we were apposing as a threat, so who ever wanted to get inside wouldn't have to deal with us? I held tightly onto my boot and foot, as crimson liquid leaked out of the bottom of my boot.

"Who are you?" I questioned. She was silent, but she didn't struggle in Winter's grip.ย

"Common. . ." I slowly got up and squinted my eyes shut in pain. I took the chance and grabbed onto the foot board of the bed and hobbled towards the young girl. I then crouched down in front of her. My foot felt like it was on fire right now.

"I'm not going to hurt you, but it's your choice to tell me who you are before it get's dark, cause believe me. . . If I were you I wouldn't want to have a broken front door." My eyes locked onto her golden ones. She continued to stay silent.

"We have no use for her, let's get back on the road. . ." Winter let go of the shy girl and stretched her arms and walked out of the room. I had the assumption that this girl was frighten. I then turned my head back and looked at Crowe and Arium.

"Can you both give us a second?" I asked, and both nodded and left. I turned back to her.

"Please. . . If you don't want to come with us, then we will leave you be. But if you do, I can offer you protection." I tried to reason with the girl. She held the golden gun in her hands and glanced up from it and nodded.ย

"Alright. . ." She quickly packed up her things and exited the home. Meanwhile, I had a hard time walking. We took the anchor as a way up onto the ship. I was hoping to Cosmos that Winter had healingย materia, cause I'm not going to last much longer like this!

Plus, what was Dad going to think about this when I am covered in mud. Head to toe, and I forgot that I still had some on my tongue. God! I must have looked like a train wreck, no wonder that girl was a bit sceptical, I must have looked like a total psycho.

* * * * *

"You lied to me."ย

I furrowed my brows and looked at Winter. She had me sit up on a barrel and she was healing my foot with her healingย materia.ย

"How did I lie to you?" I questioned. She took a breath and went back to healing my foot.

"You told me you had no last name, in which that wasn't the case. I know you're royalty, your Noctis's sister." She pointed out. But how did she know that?

"How do you know if I am? There is no proof." I crossed my arms and lied to her.ย

"I know because I've seen you before, your a high ranking officer of the Glaive, and you are in the papers." It was good to know that she saw through my lie. I sighed in defeat.

"There's no point in lieing. . . I am Noctis's sister." She placed down the healingย materia in a box with a red cloth. It was like she cherished it so much.

"So that makes us family?"ย

"Yes, it does. I also need that gem back, -" I changed the subject.

"No can do, I'm selling it."ย

I refused to let her take that gem that protects the small town.

"If you sell it, then that town will die!" I stood up.

"That town was lost long ago. . . There is no point-" I was willing to make her a offer. But I had to face the facts: it is lost now.

"If you want, you can sell it to me." I made my offer. Then Winter raised an eyebrow.

"I'm listening. . ." A small smirk tugged at her lips.

"Sell it to me, and I will give you double up front. No shop could out beat my price." She seemed to be interested.

"How much?" She leaned against the ship post that was in the lower deck room.

"Six hundred thousand gil, take it or leave it." I told her. She then leaned herself off the post and took my hand and shook it.

"Six hundred, and not a dime less." She chuckled. She then walked over to a small, red and gold, treasure chest and retrieved the big, glowing, pink, gem. She handed me the gem, knowing I would give her the gil later, when we get back.

As I was walking up the steps to get onto the main deck, Winter stopped me.

"Can we trust that other girl?" I didn't know how to answer that question. I just needed to get to know her better.

I walked away in silence. As I got onto the main deck, and shielded my eyes from the harsh sunlight. We are going full steam ahead to The Kingdom of Lucis. It would take days to get there on foot, but I was glad we were close enough both by ship or foot wouldn't be a problem. I walked over to that same girl from before. Her ebony, long, locks, flowed smoothly through the wind as she leaned over the side railing, reading a book. The book was coloured a pastel pink, with golden lining all around it, and on the front it said 'Loveless'. I could have sworn I've seen that book somewhere. . .

"Hey," I stood beside her and gave her a wave.

"Hey." She glanced up from her book and then went back to reading.

"So. . . What's your name?" I asked. I still wondered who she was!

"I don't remember you giving yours. . ." She glanced over to me.

"I apologise, where are my darn manners? I'm Breanne Lucis Caelum, nice to make your acquaintance." I extended out a hand for her to take. Her eyes widen in surprise as she started to stumble on her words.

"I. . . meant no disrespect from before-" She turned to me and waved her hands up in defence.

"It's fine. . . You were just trying to protect yourself, I get that." I chuckled at the ending.ย

"You still haven't told me your name."ย

"It's Lyria Kay, nice to meet you, your majesty," Lyria took my hand and gave it a firm handshake.

"Please do just call me: Breanne." I closed my eyes and smiled.ย

I then glanced down at that book she had in her hand.

"What are you reading?" I asked. She then looked down to the book in her hand and looked back up at me.

"Poetry, the world is nothing without it. It is simply literature to represent many feelings. But some tell stories." She explained then flipped it open to where she had one of her fingers jammed inbetween the pages.

"Will you read me a verse?" I asked her.

"Sure!" She nods then looks back down to the book.

"Infinite in mystery is the gift of the Goddess
We seek it thus, and take to the sky
Ripples form on the water's surface
The wandering soul knows no rest." As she read that to me, I felt like time stopped completely. I felt a connection. Like if someone was already here with me, in spirit. At that moment all I saw was golden flowing locks. I was then snapped back to reality.

"I thought that was a lovely poem." I told her then she gave me a nod. Suddenly off in the distance I saw my home: Lucis. As we lowered anchor and got off I really needed to get some gil out for Winter. As we went our separate ways for now, I then decided to go with Arium and Lyria. As we made our way through the city, I happened to notice some shady activity. There were people going through alleyways with what it looked to be: bombs? I raised my eyebrow in suspicion, then turned to the two.

"Did you both just see that?" I questioned, then turned back to the alleyway.

"Yeah! That is not normal. . ." Lyria looked at the same alleyway as I was looking at.

"Something's not right. . ." Arium trailed off. We took off running down the alleyway and after them. I was sure that we were getting close. Eventually we came to a small area with a fountain int he middle.ย

"Where did they go?" I mumbled. All of a sudden Arium pointed towards the wall that protected our city.

"There!"ย

My eyes widened as I saw the end of the bomb get lit. It started to sparkle like a sparkler.ย

"Shit. . . If that bomb goes off then we're all doomed!" I shouted in panic. The three of us took off running to try to put that bomb out. We were suddenly faced with many more monsters and bandits. Lyria took the chance to set up her gun and start nailing them.

Meanwhile. . . Arium started pushing them back with her dual daggers. With both aiding me, I was sure we were going to win. Eventually Winter joined the three of us in the battle. Each time we took down an enemy, more would show up. It was starting to get very irritating. I took out my katana out seeing Arium was having trouble. She was battling three men at once! My heart was racing, adrenaline pumping through my veins. I needed to get to her before they kill her! A man then kicked her in the chest and she went flying back, and crashed right into the fountain. She landed in the front of the fountain, crushing the concrete and making water leak out all over. Her breath hitched and blood started to drizzle out of the side of her mouth. My face started to twitch in anger. I threw my worst slashes at them sending two flying with cuts and bruises. I then glanced at the smaller one who was now shaking in anger. I furrowed my brows and grabbed him by the throat, I slowly lift him above the ground, having the look of murder on my face. He shook in fear and dropped his weapon, then taking a hold of my arm. Lyria rushed to Arium's aid seeing if she was alright.

"Who do you serve?" I glared. He struggled to get out out of my grip and his breathing started to get louder and louder by the minute. All he did was chuckle.ย

"Tell me!" I shouted then jerked him forward with my hand.

"It's too late now. . . Our lord has already taken over one of the kingdoms, yours will soon come next, and everyone you knew and love will fall as well. Chaos will have a strong hold to each kingdom. . ." His head looked to the right and. . . SHIT!! I totally forgot about the bomb. I threw him to the side and started sprinting towards the bomb. My eyes was locked onto the bomb as seconds were left.ย

It was too late.

A loud booming explosion echoed through the air as I saw nothing but orange and yellow, with pieces of theย citadel flying. I felt the wind knocked out of me as I landed on my back. My ears were ringing as my vision started to get blurry. I looked to my left to see Winter had gotten knocked over as well by the explosion.

"Bastards. . ." She coughed and tried to stand up. They were getting through the gate. . . I felt too weak to get up, but I can't give up now. Suddenly I saw a monster with beady red eyes, and one hell of a slobbering mouth start to drool on me.ย

"Aw shit-" I quickly flinched when it was going to claw my eyes out.ย

*Slice* Blood was a considerate jaxon pollic on my face. I started to taste iron in my mouth making me spit it out.ย

"Gross. . ." I started coughing. I then felt someone pull me up by my arms.ย

"You alright?" I turned around to see a man with black hair and onyx coloured eyes. He had the same kind of Buster Sword that the blond was fighting with.ย

"Yes, thank you!" I dusted off my arms and pants. It wasn't like it was getting any cleaner than it already was, considering I was coated in mud.

ย As more monsters started flooding through the gate, the ebony haired man and the blond went back to back. They fought better than any warrior I've ever seen. Plus I have never seen these two before. They took down more than half in half the time we took to take down at least thirty. I ran over to Lyria and Arium to see how they were doing.

"How is she holding up, Lyria?" I asked, then kneeling down to look at Arium.ย

"She has a few broken ribs, but she should be fine when we get her to the medics." I nodded as I felt a blast go by me by inches, my hair even flew to the side how close it was. I looked behind me to see a dead body. My eyes wandered back to Lyria, damn! She's a good shot! I spun around again and continued to fight off most of them. Winter continued to be flawless in taking on many of them at once, regardless of how powerful they were to how small they were. From a blind spot a man was channelling energy into his hands and send a flaming blast at Winter.ย

"Wint-!" I tried to warn her but it was too late. It hit her straight on and she was sent flying. I started to get that bad feeling in my gut. Every time I try to warn or protect someone they always get hurt!

Suddenly, before Winter could hit the stone hard ground a man appeared from behind her. He was able to catch her by the arms in time. He was none other than the Prince ofย Tenebrae: Ravus Nox Fleuret.ย

"Keep an eye on each of them and don't let them get behind you." Ravus whispered to Winter then helping her back to her feet. Once the fight was completely over I was out of breath. I made sure everyone was alright, but Arium didn't look to good. She was beginning to look way too pale and her breathing was fast considering she had a few broken ribs. The blond and Lyria helped Arium to her feet, then placing an both of her arms around each of their shoulders. It would be a bit of a walk before we could get into the castle. I caught up with Ravus and the ebony haired man.ย

"So your the Lone Warrior, I've heard many tales of you and your brother; Cloud," The ebony haired man kept cool and collective with Ravus, making small talk here and there.

"My brother and I travel far and wide across the land, seeking out full contracts of serves." He explained.ย

"What are you here for?" I asked, cutting into their conversation. His onyx eyes kept forward as we continued to navigate the city.

"The King has asked Cloud and I, to discus some important matters involving the state of this Kingdom and all the others." I continued to listen. Ravus looked a bit angered for some reason, his face was twisted in disgust.ย

"If you two will please excuse me," Ravus walked far off and away from us.

"What's his problem?" The Lone Warrior looked over to me and asked.

"I am not sure, I don't think he has anything against you. By the way I didn't catch your name." A small smirk tugged at the corner of his lips.ย

"The names: Anthony Strife," We stopped and faced each other.

"I'm Breanneย Lucis Caelum, I am pleased to make you acquaintance Anthony!" I held out a hand for him to take. He took my hand and shook it.

"So your the high ranking Officer that commands the Kings Glaive, not to mention your royalty." I nodded as we continued to walk.

"Yes, that's me," He then raised an eyebrow.

"If I may ask," He then points to the mud that's on me.

"What happened?" He chuckled.

"Oh. That!" I started to laugh, I must have looked like a barn animal by now. I was covered in muck, grime, and mud. I am surprised that most of my hair is okay.ย

"It's a long story. . ." A lopsided grin plastered on my face. We ended the conversation there and Cloud joined Anthony. I decided to find out what is going on with Ravus.

"You alright?" I asked, looking at him.

"Well. . . Sorta. I cannot explain it but, something doesn't seem right with that Arium girl. . ." His words were filled with venom. I could tell what was going on. The truth was: His family slayed Dragons and they've been at war with the Snow's for thousands of years, also known as the dragon tamers. No wonder. . .

"I don't know Ravus. . . Maybe give her a chance?" I tried reasoning with him, he just rolled his eyes and ignored my comment. I then tried changing the subject.

"I am glad you where there in time to save Winter, otherwise she would have had everything in her body broken. . ." His expression became a bit calmer from switching the subject.

"It was a mere coincidence, nothing more." Wow! He was acting cold! But what ever that is Ravus after I haven't seen him in years! We were finally let in by the guards and led down many vast hallways, and to the throne room. There I met my Father's disproving eyes.
