Thea sits on the floor of the buzzfeed studio between costars madelyn cline and drew starkey. bailey starts off by introducing herself, "hi, i'm madison bailey,"

"i'm drew starkey"

"i'm theadora james,"

"i'm madelyn cline,"

"and i'm austin north, and we're the cast of outer banks."

"and this is the best day of my life," thea jokes, causing her costars to laugh.

"bring on the puppies!" drew exclaims.

the other four join in, "come on, bring 'em in!" "bring 'em in!"

the first puppy enters the frame, "oh my god, hi!" thea squeaks.

drew lays down, instantly being bombarded by multiple puppies all licking his face. "oh no. somebody help!" thea just picks up one of the puppies and begins to kiss it all over, while austin holds up a husky puppy and coos, "chunky monkey!"

"how are we supposed to answer any questions right now?" thea doesn't tear her eyes away from the puppy in her arms.

What was it like filming on location for all of the "Poguelandia" scenes in Season 3?

"we get to film in barbados, the beautiful country of barbados," drew multitasks answering the question while simultaneously playing with the puppies, "the people there are so welcoming and its gorgeous." he's distracted by a puppy walking rather strangely. bailey laughs at the dog. "what are you doing?"

thea continues kissing her puppy. "the food was awesome."

What was your favorite behind-the-scenes memory from filming Season 3 of Outer Banks?

"maddie, we had good moments—" thea trails off when she notices cline zoned out, too focused on the puppy she's holding.

bailey laughs, "maddie...nobody's here right now." she waves a hand in front of her own face.

drew tries to get the girls attention, "maddie what's your favorite—" the group laughs as maddie makes no attempt to respond, smiling at the puppy kissing her face.

What has been your favorite plot twist on Outer Banks so far? *spoiler alert*

"my father faking his suicide." madelyn starts off.

"that was pretty gnarly." thea voices. "i dunno though, rafe's buzzcut was a pretty big plot twist."

What's a role people would be surprised to find out you auditioned for but didn't get?

"i auditioned for john b, unsurprisingly did not get it." drew tells.

"that would've been wild." thea scoots closer to one of the puppies. "i actually auditioned to play kiara."

"really?! i didn't know that!" madison exclaims.

"yeah, they told me i looked too young so they had me read for ruby instead."

Who's the most famous person who has DMed you?

the group collectively giggles for a moment before going into awkward silence. "amanda seyfried messaged me once." madelyn shares finally. "i was pretty excited about that."

"taylor swift." thea causally drops.

"no surprise there." bailey laughs, "thea's casually besties with taylor swift."

"oh there's nothing causal about it." theadora teases. drew jokingly chimes in. "madelyn cline dmed me once."

"no way!" maddie gasps enthusiastically, bringing a hand to her mouth in mock surprise.

If you could play any other Outer Banks character besides your own, who would you want to play?

madelyn answers first." i'd play shoupe,"

"i would play topper." bailey says, causing austin to laugh. "i really would. like, you have such a fun role,"

"i feel that about you." austin says back. "i would love to play kiara."

"oh yeah, i would definitely want to be either kiara or jj." thea pitches in.

"i'd play sarah cameron just so id know what its like to be loved." drew deadpans, causing the group to erupt into laughter.

Have your real-life friendships influenced the characters at all, especially now after three seasons together?

theadora jumps in. "i see it especially with my character 'cause in the beginning of season one, we were all so new and didn't know each other well yet, so that kinda tied in to rubys personality; she was very stand-offish and defensive and cautious of everyone else. but now, in season three, we are all so close with each other and that corresponds with how now rue is considered one of them, and her personality has shifted a little bit to be more group oriented. and also, a lot of our slang has been incorporated into our characters throughout the seasons. especially rue—i feel like lot of my little sayings have made it to her."

What was the last show you binge watched?

"game of thrones." madelyn starts. thea answers next. "shameless."

"love island."

drew turns to madison. "i haven't seen it yet."

"what do you—what do you mean?" bailey looks confused. "you watch love island?"

"yeah i watch love island." drew replies with a scoff, like this should be obvious.

theadora points to the sleeping puppy in her lap. "and on that note, it's a wrap."

"its nap time." madison says as the camera pans across, showing all of the sleeping puppies.

"thank you buzzfeed for having us." drew begins closing as austin adds, "make sure you watch outer banks season three."

"and these puppies are all up for adoption at wagmore pets, however..." madelyn trails off as drew adds, "we may take them all."

"act fast!" thea chimes as the interview comes to a close.
