The Cast Of 'Outer Banks' Play

The interview begins as seven out of nine main cast members are seated amongst a set of chairs sat in a semi-circle. maddie cline begins the introduction as a crew member gestures when the cameras begin to roll. "hi, i'm madelyn cline,"

"i'm madison bailey,"

"jonathan daviss,"

"i'm carlacia grant,"

"i'm theadora james,"

"austin north,"

"and i'm drew starkey,"

"and we're the cast of outer banks!" madison bailey introduces, "we're here with cosmo to look at the latest fashion trends and let you know what we think while playing a game of drip or drop."

AVIATORS vs WAYFARERS

"i'm gonna drip aviators and drop wayfers," austin starts the group off, mispronouncing the latter brand.

theadora laughs, "wafers?"

"way-wafers?"  austin tries again.

"wayfarers," madelyn corrects.

austin sighs, shrugging. "you guys get the point."

"i agree, i agree." jd nods in agreement.

"i might drop both, but if im gonna drip one it's gonna be aviators."

theadora nods in agreement with bailey, "i agree,"

"yeah, aviators." madelyn joins in.

carlacia: "aviators make me feel like i'm in avatar,"

bailey laughs, "what?"

jd: "the 'top gun' field,"

drew: "oh, the bad guys,"

carlacia clarifies, "no, not top gun. avatar."

the group laughs collectively and jd holds up his hands, "my bad, my bad."

drew points at the camera, "i'm gonna drip wayfarers and drop aviators 100%"

"why?" jd asks.

"aviators are old man glasses."

WHICH CHARACTER HAS THE BEST STYLE?

the vast majority of the group all collectively agrees upon theadoras character. "ruby."

thea: "i dunno... i think kiara's pretty fly,"

madelyn and jd both agree, "yeah,"

austin: "popes looking pretty good."

thea: "popes king of the hand-me-downs."

austin: "pope keeps stepping it up,"

STRIPED BIKINI vs SOLID BIKINI

thea asks, "drew, what do you think?"

drew: "i'm gonna drip solid color and i'm gonna drop pattern. im gonna—that's all i'll say on that."
the cast laughs. "im gonna play it safe, too." austin says, sending the group into more laughter.

"i'll drip a pattern bikini," jd shrugs, "i mean like, it takes a lot to express yourself. if im gonna choose a bikini im gonna express myself."

thea snickers before responding herself, "i'll drip solid and drop pattern."

"yeah, im gonna go solid too," bailey agrees.

"i will also drip solid," cline nods.

carlacia adds, "yeah, im gonna drip a solid. and i'm gonna drip a pattern."

"woah," austin and jd exclaim simultaneously.

carlacia: "it's pretty drippy around here."

thea chimes in, "i mean, a girls gotta have a couple bikinis. gotta have options."

"that's what i'm saying!" carlacia exclaims, "you could do both,"

WHO HAS THE BEST STYLE IN REAL LIFE?

jd: "that's tough."

thea snorts, "we all know it's austin,"

austin: "yeah we all know. just let it out, it's fine."

jd: "flannel and jeans again?"

austin shrugs, "trying to stay humble, you know."

"the striped polo with the striped t-shirt—"

carlacia: "it's the shorts."

thea: "the jorts?"

madelyn nods, "the jorts."

austin: "the jorts are in right now."

madelyn: "yeah, and the sketchers."

austin holds a hand to his chest, "appreciate it guys. i'm flattered."

OXFORD vs HAWAIIAN

bailey: "hmmm...i might drop hawaiian shirt and go classic oxford."

carlacia: "i'm going to drip an oxford shirt,"

thea: "yeah, drip the oxford."

jd: "agreed. get more utility out of an oxford shirt i feel."

austin: "well im gonna change it up. i'm gonna drip hawaiian shirt, couple buttons undone am i right? a little chest hair going?"

thea laughs, shaking her head.

austin continues, "and drop the oxford."

carlacia: "i knew that's what you would go for austin, i knew it."

austin: "yeah, you know me."

drew: "i'll drop the hawaiian shirt and drop the oxford too. cause you know, outer banks."

thea: "two very unsurprising choices there."

austin: "nice. stay on brand."

SOLID TEE vs GRAPHIC TEE

all seven of the cast members unanimously agree "graphic tee."

jd: "graphic tees all the way."

madelyn: "i was gonna say, are we going to..."

thea: "don't do it drew. don't be different."

jd: "don't, don't you say it."

carlacia groans, "drew!"

drew: "well...no, i get it. drip graphic, drop solid."

DENIM SHORTS vs CROCHETED

thea automatically looks disgusted, "oh, drop crochet. in a minute."

jd: "nope, i don't want it either."

carlacia: "denim always."

drew: "i feel like drip denim always."

austin clasps his hands together, "i'll drip some daisy dukes."

DAD HAT vs FLAT BRIM

thea: "now why did you guys choose that picture, i'm sorry what?"

madison laughs, agreeing with the teen, "i was just looking at that!"

jd: "right, there was so many better choices."

madelyn: "he looks like somebody photoshopped his eyebrows."

jd: "the brim, you're not giving the brim its due."

madelyn: "i'm gonna drip the dad hat, drop the flat brim."

thea: "yeah, same."

jd: "i say drip a flat brim hat. that is not a good example, though. a good fitted hat will always look dope."

madelyn: "that's fair, that's fair."

jd: "plus my hairs too big to wear dad hats anymore."

drew: "i feel like i always look terrible in flat brim hats, like i look like a little league player. i don't have the face structure for it. so, im gonna drip dad hat."

austin: "im gonna drip the dad hat, drop the flat brim."

STRAPPY SANDALS vs FLIP FLOPS

bailey waves a hand across her neck, "yeah, honestly both of them."

thea: "yeah double drop."

drew: "are birkenstocks considered strappy sandals?"

"no, those are considered birkenstocks." the cast laughs at thea's remark.

drew: "then drop both of them."

austin: "drop 'em."

bailey: "i guess flip flops."

drew: "yeah, flip flops."

carlacia: "i'm gonna drip a strappy sandal."

SWIM TRUNKS vs BOARD SHORTS

thea jokes, "drop both, drip speedo."

bailey laughs, "i like your taste."

jd: "explain."

austin: "there you go."

bailey: "thighs out, thighs out. swim trunks: the shorter the swim trunks the cuter."

theadora nods in agreement, "thighs out."

jd: "under half romper?"

austin: "have you surfed in short shorts?"

thea: "i personally have never surfed ever."

austin: "have you ever gotten a rash right there? that's why they call them board shorts."

bailey: "i've surfed in the shortest of shorts."

thea: "ohhhhh!"

austin: "they're down so when you're sittin' on the board you don't get the rash. so board shorts: drip."

jd: "surfing, board shorts. swimming, swim trunks."

austin: "yeah, they each have a purpose guys."

RAPID DRIP OR DROP

COLOR BLOCKING

carlacia: "drip."

bailey: "that specific one drop, but drip color block."

madelyn and theadora nod in agreement.

jd: "we're playing a dangerous game."

austin: "drip,"

jd: "drippy until further notice."

PROFESSIONAL YET PLAYFUL

again, the group unanimously calls out "drip!"

bailey: "big fan."

CARGO EVERYTHING

this time, the group all agrees to drop.

jd: "drop. nope."

thea: "get that outta here."

madelyn: "bye."

HOODIE UNDER BLAZER

"drip!"

SHEER DRESS

"drip!"

VACATION STYLE

madelyn scratches her head, "that—"

jd: "drip."

austin: "drip."

thea: "not the hat. i can't do it."

bailey: "yeah, no."

thea: "i can't do a visor."

carlacia: "i mean like vacation style—"

bailey: "vacation style is a good style."

madelyn: "that's not vacation style. that's confused."

carlacia: "yeah, that's tourist style."

jd: "i drip on my vacations."

thea: "that's disneyland."

the group agrees to drop it.

these youtube videos are so hard to write actions or descriptions too because there is so much dialogue happening all at once, so i think from now on for those video that i add thea into i'll do the format that i did for most of this one, unless its too difficult to read :))
