Pov Ricky

"What did the doctor say?"

"You're great. You will be out soon."

"But I want to leave now!"

Ricky said, since he could finally talk, as he got his energy back, trying to stand up, but Hanbin held him, and carefully put him back to the bed.

"I want to see Matthew. Maybe if I tell him now he won't hate me."

"Tell him what?"

"God, Hanbin just go call him. And both of you get out."

The two boys did as the younger said, and soon, Matthew was in the room, tilting his head to the side, cutely.

"What's wrong?"

"Matt. We need to talk. Right now. Please."

That scared Matthew a lot. Did Ricky find out about him and Gunwook and now he hated him?

"Sure. About what?"

"You're really close to Gunwook. What's going on?"

Matthew did not want to lie. Ricky was his best friend anyway. They had promised to not keep any secrets from each other.

"Well... Me and Gunwook are... Promise you won't hate me after this..."

Ricky shook his head no, but Matthew still looked hesitant, and so Ricky immediately got his answer.

He did not expect this at all. He just asked to check if Matthew was actually homophobic or if he was lowkey like Ricky.

"Hey, it's all good. You know, it feels great to have someone to share my thoughts and feelings with."

"Huh? What are you talking about?"

Ricky was making him confused with any word he was saying, every single time, about anything.

"I think I like Jiwoong."

"What?!"

Matthew could not believe it. He thought that he was just joking, but Ricky looked serious.

"Are you being for real?"

"Do you love Gunwook?"

"Wow. No, this is- I can't believe you. You're just doing that because you found out about me and Gunwook."

Ricky laughed quietly, and looked outside the window, feeling weird but also relieved.

He had to talk to someone about it anyways. And Matthew was the best person to talk with about anything.

"Don't tell Gunwook, please. I don't want him or Jiwoong to know it just yet."

"I won't, I promise. But, are you sure? Didn't you hate him until this morning?"

"You don't understand, do you? After I didn't show up to his house, I felt bad because he looked terribly broken. And then, when I apologised, his smile made me feel... Something. Plus that we kissed three times already."

Matthew's eyes opened wide, and he got up, looking at Jiwoong as if he was seeing a ghost.

"You did not!"

"We did!"

The elder acted like a blind man was telling him that he could see all of a sudden. He couldn't believe it.

"Not believing it until I see it."

"Then I don't think you will believe it anytime soon."

Matthew kept looking at him for a really long time, and so did Ricky. The look on the younger's face was so convincing, that the younger started to believe it.

"You can't be serious."

"Matthew, please. It's no big deal, let's just end it here."

The receptionist went in the room, looking at Ricky and Matthew with a sad look, making them believe that Ricky was not okay.

"What happened? Is he dying or something?"

"Who, Ricky? Ohhh, no no no. I just wanted to inform you that your boyfriend, the one who brought you here, fainted. And... he's not waking up. One of the two boys that was there wanted me to let you know."

She said, looking at Ricky. He couldn't understand what she was saying. He didn't have a boyfriend. Or maybe he did?

"Shit! Matt, Jiwoong fainted! I need to go there! I need to see him!"

"You can't do that! I'll go, and I'll come back when something happens. You can't get out of bed!"

Ricky's eyes got teary as Matthew went out of his room, followed by the receptionist, and so he was left alone, not knowing what would happen to Jiwoong.

He grabbed his phone, and immediately called his father, to ask him if he could get up, without telling him that he was the one in bed.

"Hey dad. I have a question. If Matthew was in the hospital, and he was able to stand up, but not allowed, and I fainted, far away from his room, could he get up to come and see me?"

"If the doctors told him not to move, then no. He can't do that. It could increase the pain, damage the surgical incisions or wounds, cause dizziness, weakness, or injury. He shouldn't risk it. But why are you asking?"

"Oh, we were just talking about it. Thanks dad."

But deep inside him, he didn't want to listen to his dad. He wanted to see Jiwoong. He was unconscious, and Ricky was not by his side.

He took out his mask, the electrodes off his body, and slowly helped himself into a sitting position.

He looked at the ground, and took a deep breath before standing up. His legs were shaking, and his body ached at each step he took.

But he didn't care. He had to see Jiwoong at all cost. He started to walk around the hospital, looking for any of his friends, or even better, Jiwoong himself.

And they likely weren't far away. He found them, and went next to them as fast as he could.

As Hanbin saw him, he gasped, causing everyone else to look at Ricky, and Matthew panicked.

"What the heck are you doing here?! Ricky!"

But Ricky didn't listen. He eyes and ears were only focusing on Jiwoong's unconscious body.

He placed his hand in front of his face, to check if he was breathing, and to his surprise, he wasn't.

Ricky's heart felt like stopping, and he got dizzy. He felt tears streaming down his face, and looked at Matthew.

"He's not breathing!"

He shouted, completely scared, and worried. Matthew and Gunwook got up, and moved Jiwoong to a chair, While Hanbin was helping Ricky.

"You shouldn't have done that. Jiwoong will be fine."

"But he's not breathing!"

"He is. He's awake."

Matthew said as he walked towards Ricky. The younger looked at Jiwoong, who was looking around him, like he was lost.

"Look at him. Why did he faint?"

"He was worried. About you."

Hanbin said, and a slight smile appeared on Ricky's injured face.
