𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗬 𝗪𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗟𝗢𝗦𝗧. Prior to Piper's belief, the group had all agreed that the same street had seen them 5 times. However they weren't sure how to break the news to her. Finally Jason took up the courage to tell her.

"Uh Pipes, we've seen that street before...like many times before. Are you sure we aren't lost?"

"Fine! We're lost! Happy now?" Piper asked, tossing her hands up in frustration.

The seven, along with Nico and Will were visiting Willow Crest. A place Piper had gone to for a few months with her dad before moving away. They had come there for some time off. What would hopefully be a calmful, non-eventful holiday.

Annabeth sighed and placed a hand on her friend's shoulder. She glanced at everyone and they knew to keep quiet and let her do her work.

"Piper, it's alright. Besides, we were putting too much pressure on you. I mean, it'll be hard to remember a place you last went to when you were 10. Why don't we take a break from finding the hotel okay?"  she advised.

Hazel nodded in agreement. "Yeah we should find another place for now. Who knows, maybe we'll spot the hotel while we wander?"

"Can we get something to eat?" Nico asked, causing almost everyone to gasp. They, minus Hazel and Will, had forgotten the son of Hades was on the trip with them for a split second.

After the initial shock of the voice died down, Leo nodded his head. "I have to agree with Death Breath, I'm starving." This caused Nico to hit Leo on the side from the nickname.

"Owie!" he exclaimed, the pain causing his head to erupt in small flames. Hazel started hitting his head to put the flames out and he just swatted the siblings away, glaring at the both children of the Dead.

"Let's start looking for a place to eat." Will suggested, glancing between the children of Hades/Pluto and Hephaestus. The others agreed immediately, not willingly for a fight to erupt between the trio.

After a while of searching, they came across a building with the name :

Storybook Grill

They walked in and were hit with the aroma instantly. The restaurant had a 50s diner vibe. Artwork from classic fairy tales were inscribed into the walls. As they sat down, a lady promptly placed a menu on their table. According to Frank, who was the only one out of the group without dyslexia, a lot of the food was also fairytale themed.

A girl came over to them. She seemed extremely bored, almost unwilling to be there. She also seemed to glance at the diner counter often where one would notice a book open. She sighed before addressing the table of 9.

"Hi, welcome to Storybook Grill. I'm Petunia. What can I get for you today?"

As she noted down their order, another girl came up to her, looking extremely displeased.

"Petunia! Table 7 has been waiting for their food!"

"I'm kind of busy helping Rosemary! You go get it!"

"I need to help Table 13, you go get it!"

"Girls, girls please. I've already given Table 7 and 13 what they need. Don't argue in front of customers." a third voice chimed in.

An older lady approached them. She seemed elegant, almost regal. She also seemed like the owner. It was noted by the others immediately that the woman in front of them was the owner.

"Now, go help the other tables. I'll take care of this table." the duo nod and leave them.  The older woman sighed before turning back to the demigods. "I'm Lady Iris. youre food should be ready shortly. You're not from here are you?"

Annabeth nodded. "Usually in New York."

"Yeah I used to live here for a few months but a lot has changed. Could be because I last lived here 6 years ago." Piper added sheepishly. Iris nodded, not seeming very phased by this phrasing.

"You would be right. We opened this restaurant..I would say nearly 3 years now." She replied. They made some small talk with the owner, learning about the changes and how their restaurant came to be. As well as learning more about Iris and the two girls who they learnt were her daughters. The demigods couldn't help but see the similarities and differences to the Goddess of Rainbows of the same name.

There was a ding of a bell, indicating someone's entry and Iris seemed to light up. "Well if it isn't the twins. How have you guys been?"

"Great thanks Iris! We were just stopping by for a snack." A male voice said. It sounded like he was grinning.

The others noticed Piper acting squirmy at the voice. Just as Leo was about to question it, the mysterious voice, along with two other figures, walked up to them and the male, whose voice was heard earlier, gasped.

✎ ..• pretty short update and I'm sorry about that but I promise coming chapters will be slightly longer. However they won't be super long (at least not consistently. They will be kinda uneven. But yeah this is the slightly updated version. If you read the original on, you'd see the similarities between the two versions but I did put it in 3rd person and stuff because man canon first person is hard-.
