"lili" a voice is whispering to me as i'm in the middle of my sleep.

"hmm"

"wake up" their hand caresses my cheek, slight roughness so it could be dad but it's not opening one eye his silhouette on my bed makes me raise my arms "come here" i grab him pulling him into my chest as i try to go back to sleep.

"couldn't sleep wanted you next to me so i made my way here" his voice calm the way his breath hits my collarbone calls me back into my dream scape.

"goodnight lili" his voice a tone lower than usual.

dreaming of new nails, our almost four month anniversary,  his lips, eyes, hands, just him how his presence does something to me without warning.

turning over in my bed a naked rafe is before me, he looks even more beautiful in his sleep.

"well my mom taught me when i was about 6 or 7 her dream for me was to go pro one day"

"what happened to that dream?"

"daddy's boy so i wanted to follow him instead, unsure if i regret it yet"

one water splash war, tricks and flips, a divine time in my escape home the sea.

"lili! you made it finally" jj chimes as he comes to scoop me in a hug.

"hey guys, how's everything been?"

"what's this?" pope's inspecting my neck. not knowing what's there i just cover it with my hand until the subjects changed.

john b's asking if we'd want to fish smiling i say "i'm down"

"got all the supplies here" jj speaks as he goes over to double check, pope and i head to get on the hms. john brings our signature cooler i packed water with me in case we get a little dehydrated.

"jj how's everything been at home?"

he smiles "haven't really gone home plus he hasn't come looking for me like those few times before. so i've been okay i cannot complain much now"

placing my forehead on his "i'm happy you've been happy" we stay like this for a small amount of time since he must drive the boat.

"how's papa routledge?"

"he's doing great but stressed out and drowning in his work on the royal merchant. if he isn't in his office working away he's searching the seas for a few hours. but theirs moments where we spend time together and its nice to just be dad and son"

"i'm glad he's doing well and you are too, the work sounds fun nonetheless"

"to him yeah he's life work is putting pieces to missing puzzles"

"true that!" pope calls from the seat next to jj.

"heyward residence?"

"mom is good she's just you know wanting me to focus more on school work instead of you guys. dad is exactly the same and helping him with deliveries and the business"

"ok not to complicated there"

"how have you guys been?"

"we'll we've missed you" john b spoke as he avoids my direct question.

"you've been m.i.a for almost three days" jj said as he anchors us to our spot.

"mmmhmmm you have been preoccupied at lunch"

"sorry things have been going on, so i've been spacing out a lot" i continue "but i'm okay and doing fine" i want to tell them but this may not be the right time.

we catch four trout and six snappers lady luck was on our side today. 

saturday mid-afternoon after spending time with my boys i'm home waiting for dinner to start.

rafe texted me a photo of a flower that reminded him of me as harley comes to join me on the couch placing her head in my lap. "something i need to tell you"

placing my phone down i give harley my full attention "remember that conversation we had one morning about universal signs"

"i do"

"you know how i said i thought i lost the person who was meant to be with me"

"yes did you find-"

cutting me off "she found me at my job yesterday"

harley continued with elation all over her face "she even smelled the same. her features slightly different but she still the same girl i met months ago at one of the kook parties"

"does she live in the outer banks?"

"now she moved from south carolina to live her now with her grandma"

"what's she look like?"

"oh wow she's a dream you both look so cute together" dad interrupts us by saying "don't they. her name is dixie right har?"

"yes pops! and thank you" her chocolate skin raising in temperature the same way mines does when blushing. hot cheeks. "she wants to meet you and ivor before dad"

"okay lets set a date"

harley nods as she dives into the land of the internet stroking her hair "dad is ivor on his way i'm starving"

"he's coming spoke about he had to pick something up on the way home" mr.soto is making something in the kitchen as the oven noise beeps to signal preheating is over.

fifteen minutes later ivor arrives with kie. "kiee! hey girl what're you doing here?" she jerks her head towards ivor leaning in i whisper in her ear "family official" she nods smiling we giggle and jump up and down a bit. kie is introduced to harley once more since we've hung out together before. dad introduces himself they get to talking even though dad's heard of her from me.

we enjoy a family dinner a second addition joins us and it's vivian. our night a happy one as we eat amongst people who love one another, we had plenty of laughs tonight too.

a great end to a great day.
