(y/n) yawned as she turned the doorknob of her bedroom door, only to be met by shinra who just got up from his deep slumber as well. "ohayou." they greeted at the same time, pulling a small smile before making their way to the bathroom to continue with their morning routine, taking turns on using the toilet before thoroughly brushing their teeth at the same time with both of them by each other's side.

in short, they have completely adapted to one another's nature. as soon as they got closer and closer day by day, this kind of scenario seemed and felt normal for them. both of them weren't malicious about their companionship, anyway. it isn't much of a big deal, they said. overreacting about it is completely unnecessary since they've been living under the same roof for a while now.

"oi, shinra. stop dozing off while brushing your teeth." (y/n) stated with her eyes still closed and her mouth still full of toothpaste as she heard the black-haired male's small snores, prolonging her words due to the sleepiness she felt at that very moment and surprisingly, her words awoken shinra, his eyes widening like as if he just got startled by something he was afraid of, jumping a little. "hai, hai. you better finish up, then." he replied, rinsing his toothbrush and his mouth before leaving (y/n) inside the bathroom to ready something for breakfast.

on the other hand, the female's shining (e/c) hues batted open, her orbs landing on her reflection that was being displayed in front of her. "that's about enough." she mumbled to herself before rinsing the toothpaste away and splashing some water on her face

"(y/n), instant ramen for breakfast?" shinra asked, purposely raising his voice for (y/n) to hear clearly.

with a sigh, the (h/c)nette silently groaned in annoyance as she grabbed a towel to pat her facial features dry before replying with the same volume as the male. "unhealthy, but okay. i'll be there in a few."

making sure that the towel she used was properly placed on the bathroom rack, she closed the lights and left the room, closing the door behind her silently before walking to the small dining area inside her apartment. however, (y/n) stopped dead on her tracks when she caught a glimpse of shinra's figure who was currently leaning on the wall beside the table, his arms crossed and his eyes staring at nothing in particular.

"aw, is someone getting emotional?" the (h/c)nette teased, snickering to herself as she continued with her steps towards her seat, yet she was forced to take an abrupt halt when the black-haired male approached her, his crimson eyes glued on her (e/c) ones, which caused the female to raise an eyebrow due to confusion. "oi, what are on a-"

she was unable to finish her question, for as shinra rested his head on his shoulder, it seems like the words she was about to say left her whole system. her confused state didn't last long, though. she knew exactly what was up, so she swiftly slid her arms around the male's slim yet muscular physique, hugging him.

"don't worry. we'll find a way to bring you back. i swear." (y/n) smiled as she snuggled on shinra's chest, unintentionally sniffing on his natural scent that smelled rather pleasant for someone who didn't take a bath for the day yet, feeling oh-so comfortable.

in spite of (y/n)'s reassuring words, shinra answered with a sigh before whispering to her ear with the slightest crack on his voice, "but i don't want to leave you here, (y/n)."

the female's was at a loss of words, but instead of saying anything back, she only tightened her embrace on shinra, which was the reason why their first meal of the day got disregarded.
