"Students! We have arrived at our destination! Please get your bags and go to your respective rooms!"
It took sometime for everyone to exit the bus cause of the crowded and little space left. Most were excited and looking forward to this small overnight with their friends.
Sunoo tiptoed to reach his gym bag that had all his clothes inside at the top compartment, when someone had helped him bring his bag down.
Turning around to see Niki with a 'please forgive me' type of look, making Sunoo furrow his eyebrows, grabbing the bag from him.
Not even bothering to say a small thank you, Niki pouted, as Heeseung told him to keep moving since there are people waiting from the back.
Sunoo stepped out of the bus with a clouded mind when he saw Runa getting her bags out from the right.
Do I have to bump into them every second?!
Sunoo covered half of his face like some sunlight was hitting it, rushing to his room to which he shared fortunately with Heeseung.
He placed his bag down on his clean white bed, immediately taking a seat and deeply sighing.
He actually didn't want to attend the field trip at first, knowing for sure he'll bump into not just Niki but BOTH him and Runa. He wasn't in good terms with the two, and although he understands one of them, he doesn't really want to waste his energy on taking his frustration out.
And plus, this is a field trip. This is a moment where he should have fun with his friends, not worry and stress about his relationship. He did want to hangout with Niki too, but unfortunately he thinks that's almost impossible giving the situation they're in.
"Entering the room~" Heeseung cooed, placing his luggage beside his bed as Sunoo softly smiled.
"Hi hyung." Sunoo replied as the elder turned his head and smiled back.
"Did you unpack yet?" Heeseung asked.
"Ah." Sunoo gave thanks for Heeseung reminding him as he opened his gym bag and started properly folding his clothes as Heeseung unbuckled the straps of his luggage.
"You coming to the small afterparty later at night?" Heeseung started the conversation, placing his neatly ironed clothes in hangers.
"Not sure yet, I actually don't know what I should do here." Sunoo chuckled as a reply.
"You have me and the guys! We're near a beach, we could stay there and eat the snacks Jake brought. Oh and Jake also brought soju! But Jungwon and Niki can't drink."
Sunoo's hands stopped folding as Heeseung's breath hitched. He just remembered Sunoo and Niki aren't in good terms.
"Sunoo-ah.." Heeseung mumbled as Sunoo turned his head to the elder and shot a smile.
"I-I'm sorry-"
"It's fine hyung. it's not like saying Niki's name will kill me." Sunoo grinned, placing his fully folded clothes on the closet beside his bed.
"Are you..doing well?" Heeseung tilted his head and asked out of concern.
"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" Sunoo closed the closet, looking for more of his necessecities inside his bag.
"I just thought you'd be uncomfortable of me bringing it up. You can vent to me, you know?"
Sunoo placed his toothbrush and toothpaste beside the sink as he entered the small bathroom. He deeply sighed and washed his brush.
"Thanks for the offer, Heeseung hyung. But I'm fine in all honesty." He rinsed his hands as he turned of the restroom lights, walking back to where his bag is.
"Are you sure? You can always come to your hyungs for advice, even though I haven't been a relationship before." Heeseung rubbed the back of his head from embarassment, lowly chuckling.
"You'll find the one for you someday, hyung. For now, I just want to avoid Niki, although I want to clear things up already."
Heeseung placed his clothes on his night stand and closed his luggage, biting his lip.
"Does that include..?" Heeseung asked as Sunoo's eyes went down to the floor. Right, Sunoo remembered that Heeseung was the only one who knew about his confused feelings towards Niki.
"I-I don't know yet.." Sunoo sat down on his bed, playing with his tiny fingers.
"Don't you think telling him will be for the better?"
"I guess, but..I don't want to hurt him."
"You're hurting him longer if you keep it to yourself, Sunoo." Heeseung rolled his luggage away from his bed, hoping that the younger was listening to his advice.
"You both have mistakes in your relationship. You've been dating for what, 3 months? All relationships tend to have their ups and downs, so I'm sure you guys can figure things out."
The megaphone had screeched, as the head professor told everyone to gather up.
Heeseung stood up and walked by the door, stopping by the handle.
"Don't rush your relationship, fix problems. It can lead to right person, wrong time."

Niki placed his hands inside his pockets, currently just walking down the small kind of forest looking path to get some air.
To be honest he thought he'd be enjoying this field trip more than he expected but no, it's been nothing but boring so far. He wouldn't lie, making things up to Sunoo would make things better but Sunoo kept ignoring him and it bothered his nerves.
Even when they sat at the same table for lunch, the older still acted like he was just thin air. Even passing by each other, he doesn't spare a glance.
It made Niki irritated and impatient, wondering how long Sunoo would keep that act. Their friends even tried encouraging the two to make things up but it was always a fail.
Niki kicked a rock that was on his way, watching it fall on the sand, hearing the sound of the waves.
Wow, he was so distracted by his own thoughts he didn't even know he reached the beach. He only hoped he could find his way back in a while.
Whilst looking at the shiny dark blue water, he saw a figure sitting down.
Sunoo? No, they have long hair..
The figure suddenly stood up and started walking towards the shore, not stopping even on the shoreline.
Niki widened his eyes, not know what he should do. The first thing that came to mind was 'Are they gonna kill themselves?!'.
Niki panicked and rushed, sand at the bottom of his platforms, only to take them off and rush to the person.
"H-Hey!" Niki shouted from afar as the figure didn't stop walking, the water already touching their knees. Niki's breath hitched, taking off his coat, running to the figure and grabbing their wrist.
"E-Excuse me! Please don't do that!" He spoke with concern on his tone, his heart beating fast, glad he was there in time before they went even further.
The figure's head looked down and met eyes with Niki, a pale color on their face.
"R-Runa.."
She had red puffy eyes with dried water on her cheeks, possibly caused by her tears, a pale color plastered on her face and dark blue lips from freezing.
Her eyelids were shutting down, and not so long after that her body did as well. Niki watched as she fainted and fell right on his arms, catching him off guard.
He didn't want people to see them and Sunoo to misunderstand the situation yet again. But she was now unconscious and getting her in a healthy state was more important right now.
He may have not liked the way she acted, but he still doesn't want anything bad to happen to her. After all, Niki still is a very caring and understanding boy.
Niki first led them to shore, picking up his shoes and coat, putting them on one side of her shoulder to lessen her cold.
He helped her sort of walk with her arm around his shoulder to support her body, whilst dragging his own feet, finding his way back to where they stayed.
-
Jay kept dialing Niki's phone, wondering where he is right now.
"Maybe he's out for a walk?" Jake theorized.
"A walk? Without telling professor?" Jay fought back, getting frustrated that the youngest didn't pick up the calls.
"Can't reach him either." Heeseung put his phone back on his pocket, sighing as he also couldn't get a hold of Niki.
"W-What if he drowned in the ocean?!" Jungwon panicked, getting a flick on the forehead from Sunghoon.
"Don't think like that. Niki is smart, I'm sure he just has a lot on his mind right now." Sunghoon spoke, and maybe he was right. The others nodded as that was possible anyways.
Sunoo just sat there, worried as well. But he was also the only one that didn't contact Niki. He's aware he's being selfish right now yet he let all the solutions to the hyungs.
"Uhm, guys?" Jake nudged Heeseung's shoulder as Heeseung's body jolted when Jake pointed at Niki's figure carrying somebody.
"Niki!" All of them shouted, running to him as they saw him carrying Runa bridal style.
Sunoo watched, slowly standing up when seeing Niki.
Her, again?!
"I tried just supporting her by her arm but it ended up harder so I just carried her." Niki groaned, trying his best not to lose control.
"Let's go to the infirmary." Jungwon suggested, walking their way to the school's nurse.
Niki past by Sunoo, noticing a disappointed look on his face. Niki was overthinking, Sunoo most probably got the wrong idea again.
Sunoo stayed behind them with his clenched fists. He followed all of them to the infirmary as he watched Niki lay Runa's body down the bed.
"What happened?" The school nurse asked Niki.
"I went out for some fresh air when I saw her walking past the shore line. I got worried and ran up to her, I noticed her pale face and dark lips, and it wasn't long till she fainted."
All of them looked down at Niki's feet, seeing his pants' hem covered in sea water, he was also holding his shoes, meaning he was barefoot right now.
"Alright..I'll wait for her to wake up then give her some medicine for her cold. I wonder why she tried going past the shore though..thank you for your help Niki, you saved her life." Niki bowed, slowly walking outside the facility.
His friends including Sunoo watched him walk out with concern on their looks, following him outside.
Sunoo walked up to Niki, standing in front of him as he sat on the bench with his shoes beside him.
"Sunoo-ah-"
Sunoo's hand went flying right on Niki's cheek, perfectly slapping him on the spot, which led their friends to gasp.
"Cheater." Sunoo spoke, making Niki's eyes flicker from confusion, slowly lifting his head up to meet eyes with the older.
"First kissing her now this?" Sunoo scoffed, anger rising up inside him. Niki stood up from disbelief, furrowing his eyebrows.
"Sunoo hyung, she could've died-"
"Then let her!"
Everyone including Niki was shocked that something so dark had come out of someone so bright.
Let her? Let her die? Did Sunoo really mean that?
Niki knows Sunoo doesn't like her, but comments like those went too far. And the fact it was coming from Sunoo gave him a culture shock.
"That's below the belt." Niki spoke with a stern yet calm voice.
"And what she did to me was too." Sunoo fought back as the others just watched, not knowing if they should stop the two before it led to something worse or not.
"What she did was incredibly wrong, but telling me to let her die is out of the line."
"So what, you're just gonna let her pester us for many more times? I thought you hated her!"
"I hate what she did, I don't hate her as a person."
Wow.
Niki was too good.
Maybe even too good for Sunoo.
He was that kind that he understood Haruna Atsuko? Can't find men like these in the streets nowadays.
"It's not your place to forgive her." Sunoo scrunched as it made Niki more irritated. Never in is life has he imagines the person he likes getting on his own nerves.
"I didn't say I forgave her, what I mean is I understand her." Niki replied as polite as he can, although he was holding back on raising his voice.
"God...and just when I thought I was losing feelings for you.."
Niki's heart dropped, watching those words come out of his boyfriend's mouth.
"W-What?" Niki's eyes started watering. You can clearly hear pain in his voice, his lips shivering even.
Heeseung walked up to them and pat Sunoo's back.
"Sunoo, just tell him-"
"You knew something?" Niki turned his head to Heeseung, as Heeseung bit his lip.
"It's for Sunoo to tell-"
"But you knew about it?"
Heeseung pressed his lips together, nodding awkwardly as Sunoo's eyes went to the ground.
"Sunoo.." Heeseung spoke, walking back a few steps to give them space.
Niki's gaze averted back to Sunoo's, hearing Sunoo sniffle.
"Hyung.." Niki's voice cracked. It made Sunoo feel worse about what he was suppose to say.
Heeseung was right.
It's high time he tells Niki.
"Niki..
I don't like you anymore."
