CHAPTER TWENTY ONE: Complete & The End

CHAPTER TWENTY ONE: Complete & The End

Jolene let out a groan as she walked slowly down the halls of St. Thomas. The doctor felt like complete shit for the past two days, and to make matters worse she was stuck working a night shift. The only good thing about working a night shift was now Happy was usually at home waiting for her, it had been three months since they confessed their love for each other, and it finally felt like Jolene had gotten back the missing piece of her puzzle.

Jolene and Happy's relationship was a lot different this time around, it was more mature and Happy was more open. Jolene also got full disclosure from him this time around, and the brunette liked to believe that it was a weight off of Happy's shoulders that he could come home after a long day and tell her about it. He didn't have to keep all the darkness locked inside of him all of the time, he now had Jolene to share his darkness with.

The brunette doctor finally reached the nurses station and leaned against it while closing her tired, dark eyes. She had hardly gotten any sleep last night because not only was she feeling like shit, but Mateo was also. She knew there was a stomach bug going around the daycare at St. Thomas, and Jolene could only hope she hadn't gotten it.

"You okay, Jo?" Camilla asked softly as she stared at her friend. Camilla had noticed immediately that Jolene wasn't feeling good. Hell, Camilla was sure everyone in the hospital had noticed it.

"I must really look bad if you're asking me that." Jolene joked with a small smile on her face. "I probably caught that damn stomach bug Mateo brought home." The doctor knew she should go home, but they were already down two doctors due to said stomach bug.

"You want me to call Happy?" Camilla asked.

Jolene shook her head. "No." It was pointless to call him just because she was feeling nauseous. Plus he had important club business to deal with today. "And don't you mean Juice?" The brunette teased watching Camilla's cheeks heat up. It was no secret that Camilla and Juice had gotten very close in the last three months, and Jolene knew it was only a matter of time before the goofy hacker asked Camilla to officially be his old lady.

"Even when you're feeling like shit you still have time to be a bitch." The young nurse teased with a roll of her eyes.

Jolene opened her mouth to make a witty remark, but quickly closed it. The doctor quickly turned on her heel and ran down the hall to the nearest bathroom and emptied her stomach into the toilet. Another groan escaped her lips as she flushed the toilet and rested her head against the cool bathroom stall down. Jolene sat there on the floor for a moment letting the nausea pass by before rinsing her mouth out with a handful of water from the faucet.

The brunette exited the bathroom and made her way back towards the nurses station, she shook her head and rolled her dark eyes as she noticed Tig standing there trying to flirt with one of the blonde nurses behind the counter.

"What are you doing here, Tig?" Jolene asked as she reached her best friend.

"Hey, doll." Tig turned towards her with a smile on his face. "Damn, you really do look like shit." He stayed while taking off his sunglasses.

Jolene rolled her eyes, wondering why she was best friends with this man. "Thanks Tiggy. I love you too." She said sarcastically. "Now I'll ask again, what are you doing here?" She had a suspicion of why he was here, but she wanted him to confirm it for her.

"Cam called me." He admitted sheepishly. "Well, she called Juice but I'm your best friend, and what kind of best friend would I be if I didn't come and take you home?" Tig said while turning back around to the blonde and giving her a wink. "Doll, let her boss know she's going home." He told the nurse before turning back around to face Jolene. "Come on, let's get you home."

"Tig, I can't just leave."

"Yes you can." Tig said. "Blondie over there is gonna let your boss know." He said while throwing a thumb over his shoulder towards the nurse. "Let's go."

Jolene shook her head and followed Tig out of the hospital, but not before sending a quick text to Margaret. She was sure Margaret wasn't going to be happy, but right now she didn't care. It's not like Jolene could be any help to anyone while throwing up. "Oh thank god." Jolene said as she realized they were walking towards one of TM's tow trucks instead of his bike.

"Yeah, I didn't think your stomach could handle riding on the bike." He said as they slid into the tow truck.

"Smart thinking for once Tiggy." Jolene teased. "Tig?" The brunette asked as he started up the truck.

"Yeah doll?"

Jolene took in a deep breath before opening her mouth to speak. "Could you stop at the pharmacy?" She asked as her dark eyes looked into his bright blue ones. She could see the confusion in them and it almost made her laugh.

"Yeah." He nodded. "What do you need? Some ginger ale? Some crackers?" Tig questioned as he drove out of St. Thomas' parking lot.

Jolene let out a small laugh as she shook her head. "Not exactly. I was thinking more of a pregnancy test."

Tig took his eyes off the road for a moment to look at Jolene, the horn of another car quickly brought his eyes back to the road. "You're fucking serious? You're not playing with me?" Tig had always wanted Jolene to have more kids. He absolutely loved Mateo, and he loved being an uncle. What was even better was Happy and her had finally put all their bullshit aside. "I'm gonna be an uncle again?!" He yelled in excitement.

"Tig calm the fuck down!" Jolene yelled at her very excited best friend. "I don't even know if I am." She reminded him. It was hard for Jolene to keep her own excitement at bay. She had always wanted more children, but was never in a stable enough relationship to have anymore, but now that Happy and her are back together and finally stable for once she hoped to see a positive pregnancy test.

"Right, right." Tig mumbled as he drove towards Charming's pharmacy.

Jolene sat in the tow truck waiting for Tig to return with a pregnancy test or two. It felt like there were butterflies in her stomach, but she couldn't tell if it was because of her nauseous stomach or if it was the excitement that was building inside of her. Maybe it was a little bit of both. Of course she wanted another child, but in the back of her mind she was nervous about telling Happy if she was. It didn't exactly go so well the first time, and Jolene could only hope he didn't push her away if she was. Their relationship was different this time around she told herself as she tried to calm herself down.

"I'm back." Tig announced as he slid into the drive side of the truck with a plastic bag in his hand.

"What the hell did you do?" Jolene asked as she looked inside the plastic bag. "But every single test they carry?" She asked with a laugh. The bag was filled with all different brands of pregnancy tests.

"I know you're suppose to take more than one to make sure." Tig said with a shrug.

"Two or three at the most would have been fine." Jolene said with a laugh. "Not a bag full."

"You can never be too sure." He said. "Now lets get you home." Tig said with a smile full of excitement on his face.

"Jo." Tig whined as he stood outside the bathroom door. "Jo, let me in!" He cried while trying to open the door. It had been fifteen minutes since the brunette went into the bathroom and Tig was growing impatient.

Jolene rolled her eyes at Tig continued to whine outside the bathroom door. He could wait a few more minutes it wasn't going to kill him, because right now she needed this moment to herself. Her dark eyes took in the five positive pregnancy tests in front of her, a smile on her face as she looked at them. It was official she was having another baby, another Lowman baby. She grabbed one of the tests and walked towards the door, pulling it open.

"Finally!" Tig huffed once the door opened. "So?"

A large smile took over Jolene's face as she held up the test in front of Tig's eyes. His eyes went wide and a smile graced his face as he pulled Jolene into a tight hug. "I'm so fucking happy for you doll. I can't wait to be an uncle again." He said as a few tears fell from his eyes.

"Are you crying?"

"Shut up." He sniffed. "You know, Alex is still really a great name." Tig smiled as he removed his arms from Jolene.

"You're ridiculous." Jolene said with a laugh as she pushed Tig's shoulder.

Jolene sat in the couch waiting for Happy to come home, the tv was on but it had become background noise at this point. Tig had left a few hours ago, of course not before reminding her that Alex was still a great name for her and Happy's second child.

The brunette fiddled with her necklace as she waited, her nerves were getting the best of her as time went on. What ifs ran through her mind. What if Happy didn't want another child? What if he decided this was too much for him and he left? The rumble of his motorcycle pulling into their driveway broke her from her thoughts. Jolene took a deep breath as she heard his heavy boots climb up the steps, the front door opening and closing quickly.

"Hey, baby." His gruff voice spoke as he took a few quick strides towards her. "You feelin' okay?" He asked while slipping off his kutte and sitting down next to her.

"Yeah." She nodded giving him a smile. "Hap." Jolene said softly, pausing to take a breath. She could feel his intense eyes staring at her. "I'm pregnant." She blurted. Jolene didn't see the point in telling him easy. The brunette looked into his eyes, she had become a pro at reading his emotions, but right now she couldn't quite grasp them. "Are you mad?" She asked softly.

Happy shook his head, a large smile taking over his face. "Are you fuckin' kiddin' me?" He gently grabbed hold of Jolene's chin and looked directly into her eyes. "I couldn't be more fuckin' happy. I love you so fuckin' much." He pressed his lips against Jolene's. "You and Mateo are the best things that ever happened to me."

Jolene let out a sigh of relief she didn't know she was holding in. "I love you, Happy Lowman."

"You've made my life complete." Happy rasped as he placed a hand on Jolene stomach. "I can't wait to meet you little one." He spoke with a smile on his face as he placed a kiss on Jolene's stomach.

Jolene smiled as Happy continued to talk to her stomach. Her life was complete, the man she had loved for years was finally hers, and they had an amazing son and another child on the way. This was her life, and it was all Jolene Delaney could have asked for.

THE END.
