I'm back with more headcannons to throw your way. Do what you will with them but here they are.

• Remus and James learnt to skateboard together one summer. They both got pretty good.
•they used to go around Muggle towns together and hang around skate parks until the sun went down.
•Dorcas was an absolute pro skater. She taught the two of them cool tricks in the Hogwarts courtyard.
•this went horribly wrong when Sirius asked to learn too.
•he took a two day stint in the hospital wing.

•James had a habit of losing interest in something in 0.5 seconds or he would never lose interest ever. The best examples of both is history of magic and Lily Evans.

• Peter loved cupcakes. Decorating them, baking them and eating them. For the marauders birthdays he would always make them a special cupcake and every year the boys would look forward to theirs. One year he even managed to enchant them. (With Lily's help) to date, his best accomplishments were 1. A quidditch themed one for James that had a marzipan snitch that would zip in and out of the frosting. 2. A music one for Remus which he frosted to resemble a gramophone. 3. An insanely elaborate rainbow cupcake for Sirius the year he came out. There were even little icing flowers that would billow in invisible breezes.

•Sirius, James and Marlene are compulsive flirts. It was almost like a nervous habit. Sometimes this worked in their favour, but it wasn't so helpful when you realise what you're doing halfway through trying to seduce Minnie.

•Lily had a birthmark that looked a little bit like a crescent moon. Her and Remus liked to pretend it was a sign they were with the wrong people. It annoyed Sirius and James an awful lot.

• Once the marauders got so drunk they forgot the password to the Gryffindor common room. They sat there all night. When the morning came Alice found them sleeping in a haphazard pile and decided to leave them be. In fact, she stood at the door of the portrait hole, making sure everyone was quiet as they left the dorm to go to breakfast. She was late for lessons but she didn't mind. Those boys needed sleep.

•Frank loves lacing his fingers with Alice's whenever they walk together. It became almost a compulsion. Once Alice wore mittens and he almost had a heart attack.

• Peter and Frank were herbology partners and they both got Os in their NEWTS. It was the only O Peter got but he wore it like a badge of honour.

• Lily and Remus read books at the same time so they could rant to each other. When they weren't doing this they would give each other their books. The chances were if you saw one of them with a book you'd see the other with the same one soon.

• James is a massive Jane Austen fan. His favourite is Sense and Sensibility but if you ask him why he'll simply tell you "the vibes".

•Sirius plays the piano like a god. James could play too because lessons were mandatory but pureblood rules weren't as heavily enforced in his household. He used to love it but lost interest when he was about 12. Although if you put a piece on front of him he'd play it. Sirius, however, loved nothing more than a piano and an empty room. He even used to compose although he'd deny it until he died.

• Lily couldn't sing to save her life but she was a prodigy with a ukulele. She tried teaching James but he preferred his guitar.

• When Sirius moved in with James, Euphemia was delighted to have someone interested in taking piano up again. She was a beautiful player but rarely for the excuse to play until he came along.

• Euphemia was a Slytherin. She wasn't treated very well for being with Fleamont and so she didn't feel like she belonged in her house. That is why James hates Slytherins so much before having even stepped foot in Hogwarts in his life, and why he told Lily and Snape he wanted to be in Gryffindor "like his dad" and not "like his parents".

• James had one Slytherin friend that he acquired in seventh year when he was head boy. She was a lesbian sixth year called Ester and he thought she was awesome. So did Lily. When they graduated it was the only time anyone had ever seen Ester cry. A year later Lily and James attended her graduation. (Don't ask me why I have this head cannon I just do. It's like character development for James and his Slytherin prejudice.)

• Dorcas had an adorable little tooth gap. Marlene thought it was the sweetest thing in the world.

• Marlene got Dorcas' mum to teach her how to do braids so she could do it on Dorcas while they were at school. She was really good at it once she'd had practise. It was good bonding for Marlene and Dorcas' mum.

• Mary was the smallest of the group, followed by Alice, then Lily and Peter, then Dorcas, Marlene and Sirius were also the same height, Frank, James, and Remus was the tallest. A good inch or two above James.

• Remus never forgot a name. Ever. It made him a fantastic prefect in that respect. (In every other respect he was probably the worst prefect in Hogwarts history but he wore that title with honour).
•Peter, however never forgot a face.
•James and Sirius forgot both quite frequently.

• Peter and Sirius were quite talented drawers, although Peter's handwriting was a mess. Sirius has decent penmanship since he grew up in a place calligraphy was mandatory but he'd since done his best to get rid of that neatness. Neatness offended him unless it was Remus.

• James was oddly the biggest neat freak in the dorm. He was constantly sorting out Remus' books, pairing up odd socks and making Sirius' bed which annoyed him more than anything. Sirius tried to be messy just to piss off James. •He only stopped when James nearly burst into tears after Sirius ripped everything he owned out a wardrobe trying to figure out what to wear on a date with Remus. (He came back with some chocolate to say sorry and was swiftly forgiven).

• Lily could read German almost without fault but couldn't speak it as well. Her mother was half German and so there were German books around her house that she used to read.

• Both Lily and Mary grew up in awesome flower power houses. One time in second year summer break they met accidentally at a march for gay rights their parents had taken them too. It was where they became close friends.

• Alice lived with her grandmother who everyone thought was kinda awesome. She always seemed to have honeydukes chocolate in her bag that only appeared when needed most.

• Sirius was really close with Andromeda. So close that she offered to take him in a few times, which he always refused because he was happy with James and he didn't want to impose.
• Ted Tonks actually asked Sirius for permission to marry Andromeda which Sirius liked to hold over him as a joke. Just to see if he'd squirm. He did. So Sirius gave him his blessing because if he was frightened a 16 year old wasn't going to bless his marriage then he was perfect for his cousin.

• James was expecting Sirius before he ran away that night. He actually had a room prepared for him just in case. He'd mentioned a number of times if he wanted somewhere to go he'd take him in. James was actually surprised his pride lasted out that long.

• Remus used to read to Sirius when he couldn't sleep. It didn't really matter what book, usually just whatever Remus was reading, it was more the sound of his voice that Sirius liked to hear.

• When Harry was little James would read to him and he'd do all the funny voices. Lily used to stand in the doorframe and listen to her husband be an idiot. It was the best part of both their days.

That's them all for now. I'm open to disagreements of course but I just liked a few of these and also wanted to publish something cause I've not updated anything in ages and I'm feeling a little isolated without you guys' interactions!

Anyways, I've got a shit tonne of exams in the next few weeks so that might have to continue which is sad but we ball✨
