vera was sitting in her room, doing her makeup for fun as she always did. it wasn't until she put her mascara down that she realized that walker was leaving today.

obviously, she wouldn't be able to run to the airport from gracies apartment like in the movies. luckily for her, cell phones exist.

she picked up her phone with a slightly dimmed mood. she heard a knock on her "room" or guest bedroom per say.

"come in!" she exclaimed into the room. gracie peaked her head in, her short hair swiftly going to her left.

"are you naked or something?" gracie asked teasingly with a smirk. her sister brought a small smile to her face even despite the day.

"no." she said with a roll of her eyes. gracie nodded but noticed the lightly dim look on her little sisters face that couldn't go unnoticed.

"hey, what happened to my little giggles?" she asked with one of her dimples going to one side. it was a gesture that you could tell she was going to talk to you wether you like it or not.

"a lot." vera replied, biting her lip slightly. gracie tilted her head. she's gone through it, and she couldn't let her sister go through the same.

"are you having tho-" gracie started before getting cut off by a defensive vera. vera's eyebrows furrowed, and mouth full of defense.

"what? no!" vera said quickly. her eyes bugged slightly, making gracie hum to herself. her little sister would never lie to her theoughout any circumstances. "walker's just leaving today, that's all."

"oh?" gracie said with a small grin. she lightened up slightly knowing that her thought wasn't the case. she wiggled her eyebrows slightly towards vera.

vera groaned at her sister. "it isn't like that." she said, tilting her head with a smile at her sisters antics. its like she couldn't stop smiling when shes with her.

"mhm." her sister hummed with a teasing look in her eye. before vera could say anything else, the great timing of her phone ringing came.

"ill get going." gracie said biting her bottom lip lightly, staring at her sisters phone then back at vera. vera laughed at her.

"get out!" vera exclaimed with a laugh, pushing her sister out of the room before picking up the phone. the words got into the phone speaker as she answered.

walker greeted vera through the phone. vera fixed her hair as gracie made kissy faces at her. vera rolled her eyes.

"did i say something?" walker asked, looking down at his phone as he was sitting down in the airport. veras head snapped towards her cellular device.

"no, no!" she reassured him with a little laugh at the end. she noticed the neck pillow around his neck. "so, comfortable yeah?" she asked teasingly.

walkers face flushed as she mentioned it. he looked up when she said it, so she couldn't see it, but netherless she did. "shut up." he said to her. he didn't mean it but at the time it worked.

vera shook her head and looked away with the grin still on her face. "whatever. when does your plane board?" she asked with a tiny tilt in her head to show that shes interested.

"in about thirty minutes im pretty sure?" he said as if he was questioning if he was right or not. the flush from his previous flow. "there's still baggage check and all of that."

"oh." vera said, setting her phone down on her desk, sitting down in her chair. walker bickered with leena for a second, as they were debating before the call.

"on call with your girlfriend?" vera could hear slightly in the background. the voice was higher pitched like tanner. walkers eyes widened, looking at the phone, muting it quickly before scolding tanner.

tanner peaked over his shoulder to see vera laughing. her hand covered her mouth, as she didn't want anyone to get embarrased. once tanner saw he immediately put a hand over his mouth.

walker shewed him away. walker then looked down at his phone screen, unmuting himself. his face was red like crazy from multiple different things.

he cleared his throat awkwardly, laughing after. "yeah. i-i have to go." he said shaking his head with a grin. vera nodded with a grin.

"right. bye scobell." she said with happiness spread all throughout her mood. walker didn't say anything back and just smiled. too flustered to. vera then ended the call.

walker looked up to the ceiling of the airport. he shook his head with a grin. he was falling hard and fast, but will long distance still keep them together?
