vera bumped into the taller boy. it obviously made him concerned easily, asking, "are you okay?" he asked, steadying her so he had his hands on her shoulders and she was facing him.

she was looking down. she cannot face him like this. "i'm fine." vera answered rather quickly. walker had pretended not to hear her. he knew her voice, but decided to play along.

"sorry miss i have a hard time hearing you." he said with a grin playing on his lips. he put his hand up by his ears, gesturing he didn't hear.

"i said i'm fine." vera said finally getting sick of it and looking up. walker faked a look of surprise on his face. vera looked away at his look towards her.

"oh vera!" he said. he was an actor for a reason. "it's so good seeing you." walker continues with a small laugh at the end. vera bit her lip and nodded.

"yup, you too." she says awkwardly, looking towards him. she adjusted her sweatpants. there was a slight silence between them. "so.. thought you were going back to wherever?"

"the plane got delayed until tomorrow, now we're here." he said with a smile and a nod. vera nodded, still messing with the strings of her sweatpants.

"such a coincidence, huh?" she asked with an awkward chuckle at the end of her sentence. she is slightly cursing herself on the inside cause why is she doing that?!!

walker nodded, his lips went together for a second before continuing. "yeah well i- uh better go get some candy." he said, pointing towards the multiple types of candy.

vera closed her eyes and shook her head. "right!" she started, opening her eyes after. she tried to think of something to say after but failed.

"yeah." he says nodding. they stared at each other before looking away with a flush on their cheeks slightly.

"dude look at how much candy there is!" tanner said loudly to walker since he was across the store. the two looked away from each other and at tanner.

tanner looked at vera then walker. as in some confirmation at if that was the girl he was talking about. he had recently heard walker just talking to his friends on call, with the small mention of a girl with vera's exact description.

walker rolled his eyes and nodded. he tried to make sure that vera couldn't catch on to whatever. tanners eyes bugged slightly, looking away.

"and that's my cue." walker said after their whole interaction. vera laughed and nodded.

"i guess it is. until fate comes again." vera said, walking over to her friends. walker watched her walk away, a slight gap in his lips before speaking.

"until fate comes again." he mutters under his breath. he nods to himself before grabbing the bag and strutting off to tanner about how stupid he was and how vera could've catched on.

when vera finally walked back over to cari and becca, all that there was is laughs and teasing. "did you see the way he was looking at you?" becca asked a laugh on her lips.

cari and becca demonstrated, saying their exact words and how they looked from their eyes- well everyones eyes.

"oh shut up!" vera said with a flush forming on her cheeks, pushing them away with a laugh.

"vera's in love." her bestfriends said at the exactly same time. it was quiet enough for anyone in their section to hear, which walker and tanner was in.
