vera, cari, and becca were all at the mall. it was two days after the kids choice awards. obviously there were many fans at the mall when they recognized becca and cari, but not much for vera.

she liked it that way though. made her feel better. people usually just called her 'gracie abrams little sister' . it always made her annoyed. she's tried to make her own name, but it still wasn't helping.

after cari and becca take a photo with fans they started walking again. "honestly, i don't even know how i'm getting recognized. i had like a negative number of screen time." becca confessed with a shrug.

"you're finney blake's love interest. they're obviously gonna recognize you." vera said looking at becca with a small smile. she was trying to make her feel better.

"true." cari added on, pointing a finger at vera for her good point. vera grinned at her childhood friend, grabbing her finger and putting it back down.

"what shop do you guys want to go into?" cari continued, looking at all the different shops. becca looked around as well.

"i say let's go to the food court." vera said with a shrug, her arms crossed. it was extremely cold in that mall despite how hot it was outside.

"i get you love food as much as i do, but we still have to go to another store. we barely have three bags!" becca said with a grin at her idea, still disagreeing though.

vera groaned at beccas words. "after maybe?" becca added making vera nod her head rapidly. becca laughed.

"how about a candy store?" cari suggested pointing towards a shop. 'swirly keepers' it read. vera looked towards cari.

"i'm down." vera said with a slight head tilt. the childhood friends looked at becca. becca looked back at them with a nod, a smile growing on her lips.

the girls rushed over to the store. they are so gonna get into a sugar rush after this. the girls grabbed a bag each.

vera went over to the sour section, grabbing some sour patch kids. once she finished putting those in the bag, cari and becca were over by the gummy bears.

there was a ding in the store, signalling that someone entered the store. vera looked towards entrance noticing that a girl, a boy with blonde curly hair that was slightly taller than the girl, and a little boy with blonde hair.

vera tried to get a better look at the people. the first one she noticed was walker, and then leena. she practically jumped out of her soul.

she quickly zipped past them to get to her friends. her long black hair was up in a bun, and she had on gray sweatpants and a black over sized shirt. she cannot be seen like this infront of him.

"i just saw him. i'm not joking." vera said quickly, trying to act nonchalant and not like she was panicking over being like this infront of him.

caris eyes widened. "what?" she said quietly, gripping onto her candy bag tighter at that. "go talk to him then!" she continued pushing her towards the group that was now scattered across the store.

vera cursed to herself at her friend. she loved cari, but she now hated her a little bit for doing this. it's humiliating!

cari and becca looked at each other and smiled slightly before going back to looking and putting candy in their bags.

all that was left was to talk to walker, since vera has already bumped into him from the harsh push.
