vera was getting ready for the kids choice awards in gracies apartment. obviously it was temporary, as the kids choice awards were held in santa monica.

the song ' hope ur ok ' played in the background. weenie came running into the living room where vera was at.

"weenie, what are you doing here?" vera asked in a baby voice to the small dachshund. it was her sister, gracies dog. how could she not treat it as a baby?

"weenie!" gracie said into the household running to get him. vera could tell he was on his leash, and gracie had just lost hold of him.

"did weenie get away from you again, gracie?" audrey exclaimed from upstairs. gracie looked at vera for a moment, her mouth opening and closing. vera laughed silently.

"no?" gracie exclaimed back, but it sounded more like a question. audrey looked over the railing of the stairs noticing gracies expression.

vera finally breaked, letting out laughter. "sorry i couldn't keep it in!" she put her hands up in surrender when gracie gave her a look.

the younger sister had on her black dress, her makeup slightly done. all she needed left was mascara and lipgloss.

audrey and gracie were bickering back and forth about who should win the kids choice awards, even though they didn't even know the nominations.

vera put on sone lipgloss first before grabbing some mascara and rushing to put it on. gracie groaned annoyed.

"how long is this gonna take you, like hello?" she complained with a teasing look. vera looked at the time, she only had one eye done.

"whatever ill just do my mascara in the car!" vera rushed herself, putting on some shoes despite the event.

audrey looked towards gracie then shook her head at vera's words. the younger abrams didn't see her though.

"okay- bye audrey!" gracie shouted waving beforr getting rushed out by vera. weenie barked at the door until it closed.

       vera sat in the passenger seat. after being in the car for twenty minutes there was no reason to talk. usually she just blocks people out when in the car.

"so, any actors or anybody catching your eye?" she asked teasingly. vera turned her head towards her sister, shaking her head as if those words were forbidden.

"gracie please don't." vera said with a slight smile. the embarrasing thing is she's never had an actual crush on anybody, so what even is the feeling?

"uhm i dont mean to rush you, but we're arriving there in two minutes and you still haven't done your mascara for the other eye.." gracie rambled quickly.

obviously, it made the girl rush as always. she grabbed the mascara out of her bag, opened the tube, and hovered it over her eye.

"why the hell are you doing it without a mirror?" gracie asked, taking one hand off the wheel to put down the sun visor mirror.

"steady on the road, gracie!" vera exclaimed to her sister, not wanting to hit a bump. she looked in the mirror.

she started doing it, but right when she did, gracie hit a bump. a small tinge of black was now under her eye. "i am so sorry!" gracie exclaimed at least a million times.

"do we have anything we can wipe it with?" vera asked frantically. her long black hair going around everywhere. they were now in the parking lot to be let in.

"no!" gracie exclaimed back, practically slapping herself in the face as she parked. or at least she wanted to.

vera groaned before getting cut off by gracie. "im sure that someone has something inside!" gracie suggests uneasily.

"fine. but if they don't im gonna kill you- literally!"

     vera noticed many child actors and youtubers. it was a bit intimidating in her eyes.

being a minor, of course, she would need an adult. gracie had come with. she was wearing a half up- half down hair style with a gold dress.

currently, vera had no idea where gracie was at. she would need to text her soon, or else she was gonna freak.

she tried to dodge everybody that she could, when she was trying to text gracie. suddenly she knocked into someone, making her stumble backwards.

luckily she had a great clutch on her phone so it didn't go flying. "i am so sorry!" vera started, regaining her balence and looked at the boy she bumped into.

he looked around her age with blue eyes, curly hair, and was in a grey blazer with a blue shirt underneath it. she inspected him up and down quickly.

"no it's fine. uh- you're vera abrams, right?" he asked, now recognizing the girl who clearly didn't recognize him.

vera furrowed her eyebrows, wondering how he knows her. maybe it must've been from her sister? she didn't quite know.

"yup, that's me." she said with a small smile, nodding. people came flooding by, walking everywhere.

"my friend, cari, has told me about you." the mysterious boy said, his hands being put in the pocket of his pants.

"you're friends with cari?" vera asked with a small grin, recognizing the name as the best friend she's had since she was four.

"yeah! we met from mutual friends actually." he said nodding. vera's mouth went into a circle.

"it's very nice to see you- im sorry i never asked for your name?" vera said with a small light-hearted shrug.

"walker. walker scobell is it." walker said. veras face went into realization. cari hasn't told vera about him, but she's heard of him.

"you were percy jackson!" she said, covering her mouth. she ran her fingers down her face. "i literally know you- why didn't i recognize you?" she asked herself with a little laugh.

"i was. mind-blowing, right?" he said sarcastically with a grin. vera looked down still with the smile on her face.

"i have to get going- to find my sister gracie of course." she started before noticing the look on his face. "not that im trying to make an excuse to get away from talking with you-"

walker shook his head with a grin. "no, no. its fine." he said still with the smug on his face. "do you think it's okay if we stay in touch? only if you want to of course-" walker continued, overthinking it a bit before getting cut off.

"i would love to." she said with a smile. she handed her phone to walker. "just put your number in."

walker nodded, not even looking up to her. he dialed the numbers in, before saving it as a contact.

"well, this is goodbye?" she said sarcastically making walker laugh.

"i guess it is." walker started with a shrug and a smile still on his face. he looked at her for a bit longer. "bye abrams." he said before playfully bumping into her shoulder while walking away.

vera watched him walk away with a grin, before getting back to what she was doing. texting gracie.

little did she know, gracie was watching the whole interaction between her little sister and the actor. she had a plan already coming together perfectly.
