Once I approach the gate I see Clarke and Bellamy waiting on me.

"I'm here!" I announce and they both turn to look at me.

"What took you so long?" Clarke huffs.

"Y'know, blondie. People to do, things to see" I shrug vaguely and they both glance at each other before looking back at me.

"We better get going" I chirp and barge past them both.

We walk through forest with Clarke leading the way and I stay on lookout for unfriendly grounders who would like to crush our skulls under their feet.

I find myself avoiding the eye contact of Bellamy and Clarke who are walking side by side and looking at the trees. As we're walking Clarke speaks up and I listen to the girl as I look around us.

"You know the first drop ship is gonna come down soon" She tells Bellamy as she eats nuts and berry's from one of the ration packs.

She turns to me and offers me the pack. I grin at her gratefully before taking a small handful.

"Pretty sure you can't avoid Jaha forever" She adds turning back to him and I pop a couple nuts in my mouth.

"I can try" He retorts and that conversation ends there.

Suddenly the two stop and I stand behind them, glancing back as the feeling of being watched makes my skin crawl.

"The depot is supposed to be around here somewhere" Clarke states and I finish the food in my hand, turning back to the duo in front of me.

"There's got to be a door" Bellamy adds.

"No shit" I mumble sarcastically but they hear me and shoot me glares.

"Maybe he'll be lenient" Clarke suggests and I can tell we're back onto the subject of Chancellor Jaha.

"Look. I shot the man, Clarke. He's not just gonna forgive and forget" Bellamy retorts and I look behind me again, hearing rustling.

"Let's just split up, cover more ground. Stay within shouting distance" He adds and I wander off, looking for anything that resembles a door.

As i'm searching for this damn door I trip over a stone and tumble to the ground. I reach out to break my fall and I land flat, laying there like an idiot.

"Worst. Day. Ever" I grumble.

"Bellamy! Ava!" I hear Clarke shout and I drag myself to my feet, heading towards the sound of her voice.

"Over here. I found a door" She says as I approach her.

Bellamy walks towards us and I pull plants and weeds off the top of the hatch.

"Ugh! I think it's rusted shut" Clarke grunts, trying to open it.

"Here. Watch your foot" Bellamy replies.

She moves slightly out the way and Bellamy hits the handle a few times with the back of his axe causing it to open.

"Okay. Give me a hand" He says.

The three of us pull the hatch open and Clarke enters first, Bellamy follows behind her and me behind him.

"Here" She says, handing him a flashlight.

"You really think this place hasn't been touched since the war?" Bellamy asks as Clarke hands me a flashlight and pulls another out for herself.

"A girl can dream" Clarke replies as she flashes the light around the entrance of the bunker.

"Come on" She tells us.

We follow her through the pitch black depot, climbing down stairs and dodging decaying skeletons.

"Hell of a place to die" Bellamy comments as we pass a skeleton on the stairs.

"So much for living down here. This place is disgusting" Clarke adds.

"Damn it" She mutters as we look around.

"Anything left down here is ruined" Bellamy agrees.

I do not need this negativity in my life right now

We all stop by a leaking crack in the ceiling and Clarke sighs.

"They must have distributed most of the supplies before the last bombs went off" She guesses.

Bellamy finds glow sticks and cracks one, making the thing to glow a bright orange.

"Hey, I found blankets" Clarke chirps.

"Excited about a couple of blankets?" Bellamy scoffs and I walk away from the duo.

"Well, it's something" I hear Clarke retort as I look around for more supplies.

"How about a canteen or a med kit, or a decent fucking tent?!" Bellamy fires back, getting closer to where i'm standing.

He opens up a metal barrel that is about a metre away from me and dips his fingers in it. I see an angered look take over his face and he takes a step back before kicking over the barrel.

"Argh!" He groans loudly and I flinch slightly at his anger.

I hear metal clatter to the ground and I walk over to the liquid that had been spilled out the barrel to see guns laying in the puddle. Very large guns.

"Holy shit" I whisper but the sound travels.

"What?" Clarke asks walking over to me with Bellamy.

I grab one of the guns in my right hand and hold it up to show her from my crouched position next to them. She looks at it in shock and Bellamy smiles widely.

I hand the gun to Bellamy and dust myself off, getting back up. Bellamy uses oil to paint an X on a large sheet of material before hanging it up a good few metres away from us.

"This changes everything. No more running from spears" He tells us as Clarke picks up a gun herself.

"Ready to be a badass, Clarke?" He asks her, popping nuts from a ration pack in his mouth and I roll my eyes, leaning against the wall as I chew on nuts from another ration pack.

"Look. I'm not gonna fight you on bringing guns back to camp. I know we need them, but don't expect me to like it" She replies.

"We're lucky the rifles were packed in grease. The fact that they survived means we're not sitting ducks anymore. You need to learn how to do this" He insists and Clarke nods.

She takes a couple steps forward so she's looking at the X and then holds up the rifle, struggling to hold it properly.

"So I just hold it on my shoulder?" She asks.

"Yeah, just a little higher now, that end" Bellamy corrects her, putting one of his hands on the gun and the other one on her shoulder, moving his body closer to hers.

The foreign feeling from before resurfaces as I watch their close proximity and I realise the what the emotion i'm feeling really is. Jealousy. I really am jealous of Clarke Griffin.

I hate the small voice in my head that wants me to punch her in the face, but I can't help it.

"Yeah. Uh, that's good. Uh, watch and learn" Bellamy mutters and steps away from her, picking up a gun.

His eyes glance at me and I clench my fists to my side, trying not to show him how I really feel. Clarke steps out his way and stands next to me. Bellamy aims his gun at the X and pulls the trigger but nothing happens.

He looks at us with the look of slight embarrassment before emptying the blank shell onto the floor. He aims the gun at the X again and pulls the trigger. Once again the gun clicks but no bullet is fired.

yikes

"Still watching" Clarke sings and I snort, holding out my hand which she high fives.

"My bullets are duds" He argues, emptying another blank shell to the ground.

"Try yours" He suggests.

Clarke takes a step forward, getting into position and aims the rifle at the X. She fires and the bullet completely misses the X by about a metre.

"What was amazing" She gasps.

"Am I horrible for feeling that?" She asks us and Bellamy grins, shaking his head.

"Try again" He tells her.

"No. We shouldn't waste the ammunition" She states.

"You need to practice" He argues.

"No. We need to talk about how we're gonna keep guns around camp. Where are we gonna keep them? And who has access?" Clarke objects and Bellamy lifts his rifle, firing a bullet which almost hits the X by a couple centimetres.

"You left Miller in charge of the grounder. You must trust him" Clarke says.

"You should keep him close. The others listen to him" Bellamy nods and I start to feel like there's something he's not telling us.

"I should keep him close? Bellamy, what's going on? You've been acting weird all day" Clarke asks.

"What aren't you telling us, Bellamy?" I asks, standing next to Clarke.

He looks away from us and I look at Clarke who is looking at Bellamy's back pack.

"All the rations you took. You're gonna run. That's why you agreed to come with me. You were gonna load up on supplies and just disappear" She realises and I look at him in disbelief.

"I don't have a choice. The Ark will be here soon" He argues.

"So you're just gonna leave Octavia?" I snap, feeling angry at the Blake man.

"Octavia hates me. Plus she has you. She'll be fine" He assures me.

"You don't know-" Clarke starts but she's cut off.

"I shot the Chancellor! They're gonna kill me. Best-case scenario, they lock me up with the grounder for the rest of my life, and there's no way in hell I'm giving Jaha the satisfaction" He rants and before I can let him finish, I storm away.
