"Anya, we've been walking for hours. Where are we going?" Clarke complains as Anya pulls us through the forest on ropes she's tied around our wrists.

"Quiet!" Anya snaps.

"Why not just kill me and get it over with?" Clarke asks and I elbow the idiotic blonde.

"You can tell the Commander what the mountain men are doing to us in there" Anya replies.

"So let's work together! We don't have to be enemies!" Clarke bargains and Anya stops, spinning around to face us.

"And unite with someone as weak as you? I have what I need" Anya scoffs and turns around.

"Hey!" Clarke snaps, pulling the grounder back around "We both want the same thing"

I spot a green laser beam on Anya's arm and I grab both of them, pulling them down.

"Get down!" I snap as tranquilliser darts shoot through the air.

"They found us" Clarke breathes out.

"Run" Anya says and we do just that.

I catch Clarke grab a dart from a nearby tree but don't question her motives, knowing she always has a plan and there's a fifty percent chance it may work.

We race through the trees and don't stop running until the mountain men are out of sight. I hear a twig snap behind me and Clarke smiles sheepishly.

"Quiet!" Anya hisses.

"You can't even walk in the woods" Anya scoffs.

"If I'm such a burden, then cut me loose" Clarke retorts.

"Shh" I whisper, feeling my head pound harshly.

"Heavy footfalls. Broken branches. You even smell like them" Anya complains as she drags us up a hill.

We hide behind a large tree stump and watch as the mountain men come into view, searching for us.

"We should keep going" I comment and feel a tug at my wrists as Anya agrees.

We reach a small pond, stopping our trek to crouch down by it and Clarke immediately scoops some water into her hand to take a drink.

"No. Not to drink" Anya scolds her.

"Then why stop? We should be running" Clarke retorts, splashing the water back into the pond in irritation.

Anya picks up a handful of mud from the bottom of the pond and smashes it in Clarke's face, causing my eyes to widen in surprise.

"You reek" Anya sneers in disgust and I snort, making Clarke glare at me.

"Cover yourself in it. You too" She tells us.

As the other two start throwing dirt on themselves I do the same. I smear it over my jacket arms and my chest before rubbing it over my face and neck.

After covering ourself in mud and we all look slightly different, harder to recognise, we start trekking through the forest once again before climbing our way up a very steep hill.

I let out a sigh of relief as we reach the top but I let out a defeated huff when I still hear the mountain men in the distance.

"How the hell haven't we lost these meatheads yet?" I growl angrily.

"Because of you! Time to end this" Anya snaps at Clarke, picking up a large rock.

"Anya! I am stepping where you step. I'm covered in mud. We're not leaving a trail" Clarke protests.

"They're following something" Anya argues.

"They're not following us. They're tracking us. Search yourself. If I'm right, it should feel like a small bump just under your skin" Clarke tells us and I immediately start checking my body for any lumps.

Anya rips off the arm of her jacket and I see the bump under her skin on her forearm, my lips part in surprise at how large the lump is.

"It's you" I mumble.

"Okay, I could remove it, but you need to untie my hands. I just need something sharp and sterile" Clarke says but Anya ignores her.

The grounder leans her head down and rips the tracker out with her teeth.

"Holy shit" I gasp, my eyes widening in horror.

"I will not go back there" Anya states determinedly.

We hurriedly start walking again and I very quickly get tired of being tugged and yanked around like a rag doll.

"Anya, you're still bleeding. At least let me bandage it before it gets infected" Clarke says.

Anya looks down at her arm and before she can even react Clarke strikes, shoving a dart into her neck.

yikes

Anya slowly collapses to the ground and I turn to Clarke with raised brows.

"We can find our way home from here" Clarke assures me.

I make haste in untying myself and I then use the rope to tie up Anya's wrists.

"Looks like you're our prisoner now" Clarke states and Anya's eyes fall shut.

"Come on, blondie. Help me build a stretcher" I breathe out and my friend nods in agreement.

In no time at all we assemble a makeshift stretcher and start to carry the grounder through the familiar trees and straight to the drop ship.

We put down the stretcher at the door and I look around the abandoned place with a sigh. I see the blonde walking so I wander over to see that there is a message written on the drop ship but it's all smudged, the only part visible being the word 'Clarke' at the top.

I hear the sound of footsteps coming from behind us and we turn in fright to see Anya on her feet.

"Anya, wait" Clarke tries but the grounder throws her fist at the blonde who ducks.

Clarke tries to speak again but Anya punches her, sending the girl sprawling to the floor.

I run at the grounder and she flips me over her, onto the ground. I let out a groan of pain as my body slams down and she climbs onto me, punching me square in the face.

My head whips to the side and I taste blood in my mouth as I run my tongue over my teeth. I quickly wrap my legs around her neck and flip her off me before jumping to my feet.

"You've been taught well" Anya comments and I spit out blood.

"Thanks" I give her a bloody smirk.

"But what you don't know is that your teacher was taught by me" She growls and throws her fist at me.

I manage to dodge it but her second swing hooks me in the jaw and I stumble back in surprise. I swing my fist at her face and it hits her in the nose, making her stumble back in pain.

She lets out a war cry before charging at me once again but I swipe her off her feet and jump on top of her, socking her in the face as many times as I can before she head buts me in the nose, blood spurting over my face.

She rolls us over and punches me in the face once more before elbowing the wind out of me and getting up. I struggle for breath, tears pricking at my eyes and I hear Clarke fighting with the grounder.

"I don't want to kill you, Anya" Clarke then says.

"Then you're the one that's gonna die" Anya replies.

I hear grunting and screaming as I pull myself onto my feet. My eyes catch onto the blade in Anya's hand and I run towards them, shoving Clarke out the way.

Anya swipes at me, cutting my side and I grunt, kicking her leg. She stumbles but catches herself before slicing at my upper arm. I let out a groan as the metal cuts through my arm but don't give up just yet.

I grab her arm and punch her hand causing the blade to scatter to the ground, but she grabs me and sends me crashing down too.

She tries to grab me again but Clarke runs at her and I try to pull myself up but I collapse back down, watching as Clarke repeatedly punches Anya's lifeless body.

The blonde picks up a knife and I use the last of my strength to drag myself to my feet. I trudge over to the girl and snatch the blade out her hand.

"You fought well" Anya says and I grimace at the blood on her face, knowing mine is probably just as bad or even worse.

"Do you see that?" Clarke asks and I look at her in confusion as I pocket the knife.

"I knew it. He lied. Our people are out there" She smiles.

I look up to see what she's babbling about and my eyes widen as I see a large balloon in the sky, the sun reflecting off of it.

The balloon is suddenly shot from the sky but we already know where they are and I grab Anya, yanking her to her feet. Clarke ties up her wrists and we set off in the direction of the balloon. The sun sets and darkness sets in as we trek through the trees.

After hours of excruciatingly painful silence we exit the trees and what I see makes me stop in awe.

it's the Ark

I hear sounds of people talking in the distance and the lights from the ship make the place easier to see.

"Look at that" Clarke awes.

"We made it" I sigh in relief and she smiles widely at me.

"How many are there?" Anya breathes out.

"I don't know. A lot, I hope" Clarke answers.

The blonde turns to Anya and unties her, offering the grounder an olive branch.

"I'm letting you go. I'm not weak, but I'm not like you. Our only chance against Mount Weather is if we fight together. To beat them, we'll need our technology and your knowledge of this world. I know my people will help. The question is, will yours?" Clarke explains.

"The Commander was my second. I can get an audience" Anya nods.

Clarke holds out her hand and Anya shakes it with a look of respect that makes me smile, hope blossoming in my chest.

"Please hurry" I beg and the grounder nods at me.

"Goodbye, Eiva Kom Skaikru" Anya bids me farewell in her native language and I smile softly, understanding her thanks to Nova and Lincoln.

"Goodbye, Anya Kom Trikru" I reply, making her smile.

She turns away from us and we watch as she starts to walk away, but as she walks I get a bad feeling.

All of a sudden the sound of a gunshot pierces the air and Anya lets out a pained cry, falling to the ground.

"No!" I scream in horror.

"Anya!" Clarke shouts.

We sprint towards the woman in disbelief and Clarke is shot in the arm. I turn to grab her in concern, but I feel a pain erupt in my thigh that causes me to cry out in agony.

The two of us collapse onto the ground next to Anya and I grab the woman's pale face in my hands.

"No, no, no, no" I cry, tears running down my face.

"Hey, it's okay" Clarke says, trying to stop the bleeding.

"My fight is over" Anya whispers to me reassuringly and I nod in understanding.

"Your fight is over" I sniffle sadly.

"No, no, no. Anya, you're okay!" Clarke snaps but I shake my head, shutting the grounders eyes.

I grab Clarke's bloody hands in mine and shake her desperately.

"Let it go. She's gone" I tell the older blonde.

I'm abruptly hit in the head, my vision going blurry as I fall to the ground and Clarke is smacked in the face, her body hitting the ground next to me.

I feel myself being lifted by each arm and dragged through the grass. My head lulls to the side as we reach the gate and I see a blonde woman questioning Clarke who doesn't answer.

I try to walk but my limp slows me down and they end up dragging me through the gate and into the camp.

I see people running and normally i'd make a stupid joke but I decide to just scoff quietly.

"Wait!" I hear a familiar voice.

"Once the prisoner's are secured" The guard insists.

"She's not a prisoner. She's my daughter" The voice replies and I look up to see it's Abby.

"Clarke" I hear Abby choke out.

"Mom?" Clarke whispers.

They let go of the older blonde but when I try to move, I'm kicked to my knees. My head falls forward and tears run down my face as I start to loose consciousness.

"Abby" I croak and the woman turns to me in disbelief.

"Ava? Let her go!" Abby demands and the guards let me go, my body hitting the ground like a sack of potatoes.

"I need some help over here!" I hear the woman scream and I look up at the stars.

please don't let me die after walking all this way
