I spot Clarke and Finn sitting at a table with Bellamy. Bellamy spots me and excuses himself before walking towards me.
"How are things over there?" I ask curiously as he wraps an arm around me.
"Awkward" He answers.
"Were they pardoned?" I ask as Murphy sits down with the duo.
"Yeah. Murphy's lucky I don't kick his ass" Bellamy grumbles, glaring at the boy who has no idea.
"They did what they had to do. We've all done bad things" I shrug.
"Why are you making excuses for him? He hung you" Bellamy frowns, his arm dropping from my waist.
"It's time to forgive and move on. We all need each other, now more than ever. You may not like Murphy but an extra pair of hands is always helpful" I explain logically.
"How can you just forgive someone who's caused you so much pain?" He asks in confusion, struggling to grasp my forgivingness.
"Just because I forgive doesn't mean i've forgotten what they've done. I've just put it to the side and given them a second chance. Everyone deserves a second chance" I tell him with a soft shrug.
"I have no idea how you do it" He sighs, pulling me in by my hips.
"I want to believe everyone has good in them. No matter how deep down it is, it's there" I mumble, hugging him softly.
Bellamy kisses my head and from the corner of my eye I see Raven and Clarke jump from their seats.
"I gotta go" I tell Bellamy, my eyes following the girls.
"I'll see you later" He smiles.
"See you later, Bell" I assure him, pecking his lips.
I speed walk after Clarke and Raven, grabbing Raven's arm and she jumps in fright.
"Ava, you scared me" My best friend scolds me.
"What's going on?" I ask as we walk.
"Mount Weather is jamming our signal and stopping us from speaking to the rest of the Ark" Clarke informs me.
"Assholes" I mutter in anger.
"I tweaked the resonator and got this" Raven tells us, playing a static like sound.
"It's on every frequency. Long-range communication is totally screwed. It's also why the range in our walkies sucks. It's the same signal Monty heard on the black box of the exodus ship" Raven explains.
"Mount Weather crashed the exodus ship" Clarke states and Raven nods.
"I knew there was something fishy about the crash. A ship like that doesn't just fall from the sky like a lump of clay!" I exclaim and Clarke nods in agreement.
"Can you get around the signal?" Clarke asks Raven..
"Around it? No. But if I can get to the tower that broadcasts it, I can make it go boom" Raven smirks, glancing at me.
"I love making things go boom" I grin excitedly.
"No one is going anywhere!" I hear Abby snap and turn to see her enter the room with Byrne behind her.
"Mom, listen to me-" Clarke starts.
"What do I have to do to get through to you? You and your friends are not soldiers, and continuing to act like you are puts lives at risk" Abby snaps.
of course we're not soldiers, just part of the 100 kids you sent down to a radiation soaked planet to die
"You don't understand. Raven found something. Mount Weather is jamming our communications" Clarke tells her mother.
"It's true. There could be other Ark stations on the ground" Raven speaks up.
"And more guards" I add.
"You said we don't have enough people to fight a two-front war. Mom, we're already fighting one" Clarke explains.
"The grounder retaliation for the massacre could happen at any time, and when it does, we need every available man to defend this camp" Byrne butts in.
"So let us go" Clarke argues.
"We're more than capable of handling ourselves out there" I pipe up.
"You're not gonna stop, are you?" Abby asks.
"Not until my friends are safe" Clarke answers.
There's a small silence and I share a look of hope with Raven.
"Okay. But i'm coming with you" Abby declares.
"Ma'am, I just said-" Byrne is cut off which makes me smirk.
"It's been quiet for two days. Maybe Kane is making headway with the grounder's Commander" Abby snaps.
"Or maybe he's dead, and they're massing against us as we speak" Byrne grits out.
"Maybe...Which is why we need more guards" Abby argues.
"Then it's settled. We're going back to Mount Weather" Clarke says looking at me and I grin excitedly.
we're gonna make that tower go boom

"I can't believe they let Finn come" I hear Octavia spit and I shoot the girl a glare.
"He's the best tracker we've got" I snap and she gives me an apologetic look.
"Don't forget to look up!" Bellamy shouts to the team "The grounders use the trees!"
"That's how we lost John Mbege" He mutters.
I speed up slightly and fall in step with Finn who smiles at me softly.
"How you feeling?" I ask him.
"I'm good now that I know you're okay" He replies and I smile grabbing his hand.
"I won't let anything happen to you, Finn" I promise him and he chuckles.
"Nothing is going to happen to me, squirt" He scoffs.
"No, because I won't let it" I declare.
"How's your leg?" Finn asks, changing the subject.
"It's great" I lie and he frowns, immediately detecting it.
"Don't lie to me. Does it hurt? Do you need to rest? I can get Abby" He fusses over me and I roll my eyes, squeezing his hand.
"Stop worrying so much. I'll be fine" I assure him.
"You can't seriously expect me to just stop worrying about you, right?" He asks rhetorically and I sigh as he lets go of my hand to put his arm around my shoulders.
"Ava, you are my whole world. You mean everything to me and it would kill me to lose you. When I went back to the drop ship and you weren't there, I felt as if I had been shot. I admit, I done some things that i'm not proud of, but i'd light the whole damn world on fire if it meant finding you" Finn tells me and my eyes tear up.
"When I woke up in Mount Weather I could of sworn you were dead. I felt numb, Finn. I couldn't even process the fact I was never going to see you again. The thought of you dying completely killed me and I never want to feel that ever again" I admit, a tear running down my cheek.
"You won't. I promise you" He smiles down at me, kissing my temple.
"Good. I've almost lost you too many times. If you died I don't think i'd be able to move on from that. I'd have shoot myself in the head or something" I joke and Finn shakes his head with a smile.
"No, you'd be just fine. You're the strongest person i've ever met and i'm just an extra in your story. If I died, you'd be sad for a while, but you'd find a way to remember me in the best ways and live your life to the fullest like we always said we would" Finn argues and I shake my head.
"You're not just an extra, Finn. You're my everything. My protector. My best friend. Finn, i'd be lost without you" I state truthfully, wiping my tears away before anyone else can see them.
"Hey, you'd never really be without me. No matter what happens in the future, i'll always be with you. Dead or alive, i'll always be by your side" Finn smiles weakly.
"I love you, Finn Collins" I choke out, with a soft smile.
"And I love you, Ava Steele" He replies.
Finn's grip on me loosens slightly and my hand is grabbed by Bellamy, causing me to come to a stop. My best friend looks at me in concern and then eases when he sees Bellamy. I nod at Finn and he walks ahead, leaving me with the two Blake siblings.
"What's up?" I ask curiously.
"Octavia and I are gonna take a little detour. You coming?" He asks and I hesitantly look over at Finn.
"Come on, A" Octavia encourages, nudging me with her elbow.
"Sure" I breathe out, smiling at the duo.
The three of us sneak off, breaking away from the rest of the group. As we're walking I realise that Bellamy's hand is still holding mine and I look down at our hands.
"What are you looking at?" Bellamy asks me.
"Nothing" I shrug, looking up to see Octavia ahead of us.
"Come on, tell me" He smiles, nudging my shoulder with his.
I let out a sigh and smile slightly in reminiscence.
"Do you remember the day Raven set off the flares in camp?" I ask.
"It's pretty hard to forget. Why do you ask?" He answers.
"That day you asked me if I was to wish on a shooting star, what would I wish for" I state.
"I remember" Bellamy nods.
"I didn't tell you back then, but I did wish for something" I say vaguely.
"What did you wish for?" He asks me curiously.
"This. Us" I admit, glancing from our intertwined fingers to his face.
"You did?" He grins softly and I nod with a smile.
"Wow, even back then you were obsessed with me" He teases and I gasp, hitting his arm.
"In your dreams" I scoff.
"How did you know?" He asks in fake surprise which makes me laugh.
I move my gaze back to the path in front of me but I still feel Bellamy's eyes burning into the side of my head.
"What are you looking at?" I now ask him.
"I have my own confession to make, sunshine" He announces.
"Go on" I drawl out.
"From the moment I met you, I've always thought you're beautiful. But it wasn't until the night we spent in that cave with Charlotte that everything clicked into place. The way you talked about your friends and sang her to sleep. You had me wrapped around your little finger and you didn't even know it" Bellamy confesses and I grin widely.
"Is that so?" I ask teasingly.
"That is so" He sighs with a smile.
I lose my footing and trip over a tree root but luckily Bellamy catches me, pulling me up. My chest hits his and he smirks down at me, his hot breath fanning over my cheeks.
My gaze is stuck on his big chocolate brown eyes and I get lost in trance like state, the rest of the world around me fading away.
"Will you two stop flirting and help me find a damn entrance?!" Octavia yells and I snap out of my daze.
"Sorry, O" I apologise, smirking at Bellamy before chasing after the dark haired girl.
