I woken up to see that I'm laying in a tent on my own, letting out a pained groan as I look down to see the stitches in my side and on my arm. My bullet wound is also patched up and it doesn't hurt as much.
I see the clothes laid out next to the bed I'm in and I heave myself up with a whimper, the pain hitting me like a bolt of lightning.
I slightly struggle to put on the black jeans before slipping on the black combat boots and pulling the grey shirt over my head. I grab the black leather jacket and slide it on as I make my way out the tent.
My leg aches but not enough to cause a noticeable limp in my walk which I'm thankful for. As I pull open the tent flap I see Raven sitting outside.
"Raven?" I choke out in awe.
"Ava!" She grins.
She immediately pulls me into a warm hug and I wince at her rough movements but hug the girl back tightly.
"I'm so glad you're not dead" I mumble out in relief.
"Same here" Raven chuckles softly.
She pulls me away and holds me at arms length with a smile on her face.
"You look like you've gone twenty rounds with a professional boxer" She declares with a grimace and I laugh it off.
"You could say that" I shrug.ย
I look down to check the girl for injuries and my breath catches when I see the brace on Raven's leg, making me frown.
"Jeez, Raven" I try to joke and she smiles, grateful that i'm not giving her pity.
"Sucks, but I'm dealing with it" She assures me.
In the corner of my eye I spot a person I never thought i'd see again and I let my arms slip away from Raven, dropping to my side.
"Am I imagining it or is that-" I'm cut off.
"Go get him" Raven says and I smile at her widely with tears welling up in my eyes.
I start speed walking towards the man, seeing that he's standing next to Clarke and another person I'm very grateful to see.
"Bellamy!" I call out and he turns to me without hesitation.
His eyes widen in surprise and my speed walk turns into a run before I launch myself at him. My arms wind around his neck and my legs wrap around his waist, him catching me easily.
I ignore the searing pain in my thigh and grab his face in my hands, just happy to see the man alive and safe.
Bellamy presses his lips to mine and I happily return the kiss, showing him just how much I missed him.
As our lips part I look at him in pure awe with tears rolling down my cheeks, a smile gracing my face and his own expression softens as he presses his forehead on mine.
"I thought you were dead" I cry weakly, brushing my nose against his.
"I thought you were dead" He counters and we laugh airily in relief.
He hugs me close to him, letting out a relieved breath and I bury my face in his neck. We stay there in each other's arms for a moment, just soaking up the comfort of the other's presence and assuring ourselves that the other is safe.
"Don't ever leave me again" I sniffle as I pull away and he smiles, planting a chaste kiss on my lips.
"Never" He assures me.
I hear someone clear their throat awkwardly and I turn my head with a smile. Octavia grins up at me warmly and Bellamy puts me down on the ground.
I don't hesitate for one second before I throw my arms around the dark haired girl and she hugs me tightly.
"I've missed you" She admits.
"God, I've missed you too" I breathe out in relief.
"Where's my hug?" I hear a cocky voice and I grin widely.
"Wick!" I squeal, turning to him.
He grins down at me warmly like a brother would and wraps his arms around me.
"As much as I'm glad you're all alive, we need to find Finn" I hear Clarke say and I pull away from Wick, catching the jealous look on Bellamy's face.
"Finn's alive?" I breathe out and the blonde nods.
"Where the hell is he?" I ask Bellamy who's fists are clenched.
"Looking for you two" He replies.
"We need to convince my mom to let us go find him" Clarke says.
"This sounds like a big problem, but not my problem. You know where I am if you need me, Ava" Wick says to me with a wink.
"Thanks, Wick" I grin.
He heads off and I turn to Clarke with a determined feeling raging through me after hearing that Finn is alive and out there searching for Clarke and I.
"Take me to Abby" I demand.
She walks off and Bellamy follows. I catch up with them, slipping my hand in Bellamy's and giving it a reassuring squeeze.
We find Abby who bluntly explains to us that Finn and Murphy aren't a priority and we aren't allowed to go find them.
"What? No! You can't just cut them loose" Clarke shouts at her mother.
"Sweetheart, we don't have the manpower to send out two separate rescue missions and protect our camp" Abby replies.
"Mom. They're in trouble. They're either gonna get themselves killed or there gonna make things worse with the grounders, who we need to get our people out of Mount Weather" Clarke rants.
"I know you feel this is unfair, but our priority has to be with Chancellor Kane if there is any hope for peace" Abby states and I feel anger bubble up in me, Bellamy rubbing his thumb over my knuckles.
"If you wanted peace, you shouldn't have killed the only grounder who was gonna help us" Clarke retorts.
"Clarke's right! Anya was a pain in the ass but she was gonna sort this whole mess. Now you've went and shot her. What are we supposed to do now?!" I yell angrily.
"I'm sorry!" Abby huffs.
"The decision's been made" She adds and I squeeze Bellamy's hand in complete rage.
"You're sorry?" Bellamy asks.
"Finn and Murphy are out there looking for your daughter with guns you gave us, and now she's home, you're just going to abandon them?" He snaps angrily and Clarke looks at her mother.
"If you can't spare the guards, we know the terrain, we have a map. We can do it ourselves" He says.
"Absolutely not!" Abby snaps.
"Mom!" Clarke argues.
"I just got you back!" Abby shouts.
I share a glance with Bellamy who drops my hand and wraps his arm around my waist, pulling me in close.
"Abby!" Jackson yells running up to her.
"I'm sorry. We need you in medical" He says, looking between Clarke and her mother.
"You better go" Clarke states.
"Byrne? No one leaves this camp" Abby announces and Bellamy's grip tightens, making me squeak as he grabs my stitches.
"Yes, ma'am" Byrne replies and I see she's talking to Sinclair who smiles at me widely.
I smile at Sinclair widely and remind myself to give him a proper hello when we get Finn back.
"Sorry" Bellamy mumbles and runs his cold fingers over my stitches, making me shiver.
"It's okay" I shrug.
"We're gonna need guns" I hear Clarke state as she approaches us.
"I'm on it" I assure her and she nods.
I make a move to walk away but Bellamy grabs my arm and I turn to him expectantly.
"Yes?" I smile up at him.
He kisses me softly and I smile happily into it, allowing myself just another moment of serenity. We part and he nods simply, letting go of me with a reluctant expression on his handsome face.
"I'll be back as soon as I can" I chirp, speed walking to where I know I can find my guys.
I swing open the door with an air of confidence and familiarity that makes me grin widely, finding Raven and Wick bickering like they always have.
"There's my favourite engineer and mechanic duo!" I coo and they both shoot me a glare.
I pout childishly at them and their glares melt into small smiles, allowing me to feel as though not everything has to change.
"What do you want, Ava?" Wick questions.
"I need guns. We're bringing Finn back" I tell them.
"I can do that" Raven tells me "Meet me around the back and I'll get them to you"
"Thank you!" I cheer happily, rushing to hug her.
I stumble slightly as a pain shoots through my leg and she catches me with wide concerned eyes.
"Are you sure you should be walking?" Wick asks me with a worried frown.
"I'm fine, Wick" I grumble out the lie.
"Your leg is telling me different, Ava" He replies with a stern look that makes me feel guilty for lying.
"Just drop it. Please" I beg and he sighs, shaking his head.
I give Raven a warm hug and she rubs my back soothingly. Deep down I can sense that she knows exactly how i'm feeling right now, but ten times worse and that's the reason she isn't badgering me.
"Take it easy, tiger" She warns to me.
"Will do" I smile reassuringly, exiting the room.
I walk through the campsite until I find Bellamy and he smiles at me happily when he spots me.
"What's the news?" He asks, pulling me close to him.
"Raven is going to help. We should be out of here in no time" I grin, wrapping my arms around his neck.
"Clarke is away to get packs" He informs me and I giggle, shaking my head.
"She's always planning and preparing" I murmur and he snakes his arms around my waist, hugging me to his body.
"I seen you after I hugged Wick" I admit and he looks away from me awkwardly.
"What are you afraid of, Blake?" I ask him curiously, pulling his chin down so that he's looking at me.
"Look. Ava, you're amazing-" I cut him off.
"Are you breaking up with me?" I joke and he chuckles, shaking his head.
"You're amazing, incredibly smart, drop dead gorgeous and funny as hell" He starts, making me grin.
"Awe, you're making me blush" I tease him.
"My point is...you can do so much better than me, Ava. I'm a waste of space. I guess I'm just afraid of you finding someone better" He explains and I frown deeply at his words.
"You're so wrong" I object, shaking my head.
"You, Bellamy Blake, are anything but a waste of space. You're a great guy who loves with his whole heart and always knows what to do in any situation. You are adorably sweet, occasionally funny, easily the hottest guy I know and one of my favourite people. I could never find anyone better than you, Bell. You can't get much better than this" I assure him wholeheartedly and he smiles, pushing my hair behind my ear.
"I'm one of your favourite people? Not your favourite overall? I'm hurt" He jokes and I roll my eyes with a smile.
"Did you miss the part where I called you hot?" I ask teasingly and he grins widely.
"Definitely not" He replies, pecking my lips.
"We better get going before Raven gets pissed" I warn him and Bellamy nods.
He intertwines our fingers and we make our way around camp, trying not to draw any attention to ourselves. We slip behind a large slab of metal and there we wait for Raven to arrive.
"I scored you a couple extra clips" Raven speaks up as she puts down a duffle bag and Clarke comes up behind her with two backpacks.
"Hey. My mom's in surgery and the team going after Kane just left. We should too" Clarke states.
"Did you find Octavia?" Bellamy asks.
"No. I found you. I'm not letting you leave here without me" I hear the younger girl's voice as she approaches us.
"Octavia-" Clarke is cut off.
"Finn and Murphy are headed for Lincoln's village. I've been there. Have you? Has she?" Octavia tries to prove her point but I grin in amusement.
"You done?" Bellamy asks bluntly.
Clarke hands me a backpack and I pass it over to Octavia with a smirk.
"What's this?" She questions in confusion.
"Your pack, grounder pounder" I joke teasingly and she grins, taking it from me.
"Lead the way" Bellamy states.
Octavia heads straight for the wires and Raven holds out her crutch to stop the girl.
"Whoa! Not so fast, Pocahontas" She pipes up.ย
The girl holds out her crutch and as it touches the wire the electricity crackles wildly.
"Yikes" I comment.
"I thought you said you were on it?" Clarke asks me in exasperation.
"Give it a minute" I wave the blonde off.
Raven pulls out her walkie talkie and holds it to her lips.
"Shut her down, Wick" She says.
Raven then touches the wire with her crutch again but this time no electricity sparks.
"And that's how it's done, Mecha Station style" I tell the blonde, holding out my fist to Raven who bumps it with hers and we share a smirk.
We all climb through the wires without getting barbecued before proceeding to head into the forest to search for Finn and Murphy.
