I watch Monty with a small smile on my face as he innocently taps at the keyboard, trying to turn on the monitors. The screens in front of me abruptly switch on and I shoot Monty a proud grin to which he returns.
"I think command centre is live" Monty states.
All the cameras turn on and my eyes go straight to the dorm on level five. My eyes water as I see my childhood best friend strapped to a table being tortured.
"Oh, my God" Clarke mutters.
"Is that Raven?" Bellamy asks worriedly, turning to look at me.
"They're killing her" I breathe out, starting to panic.
"Tell them to stop now!" Bellamy demands and I turn my head to see him holding up a walkie talkie to Dante.
"I won't do that" Dante grits out.
"Emerson" Clarke whispers and I look at her in confusion.
She snatches the walkie talkie from Bellamy and stands beside me as we watch the monitor.
"Carl Emerson, Mount Weather security detail, come in" Clarke says into the walkie.
"Who is this?" Emerson replies.
"You know who it is" Clarke states confidently "Give the radio to the president"
I watch as Emerson walks out of the mess hall and my eyes go back to Raven in worry but the screens keep jumping.
"Mon, they're moving" I tell him.
"No problem. I'll bring it on the main monitor" He replies and the huge screen turns on, showing Cage with the walkie.
"This is President Wallace" Cage speaks into it.
"I have your father. If you don't let my people go, i'll kill him" Clarke threatens the man and my eyes widen slightly.
"How do I know you have him?" Cage asks.
Clarke brings the walkie up to Dante's mouth and presses the button.
"Stay the course, Cage" Dante tells his son.
"You won't do it" Cage tells Clarke.
"You don't know me very well" Clarke replies.
"This ends now. Release my people" She adds.
"I can't do that" Cage says.
"It would mean the end of our people, Clarke" Dante tells the older blonde.
She whips out her gun and aims it at Dante's head. My eyes widen in disbelief and Bellamy yanks me out the way, into his arms.
"Clarke, we need him" Bellamy reasons.
"And I need his son to believe me" Clarke retorts.
"Don't make me do this" She tells Cage through the walkie.
There's a short silence before Cage's shaky voice comes through the walkie.
"Dad...I'll take care of our people" He tells his father and my hate for the man grows.
"None of us has a choice here, Clarke" Dante says to her.
"I didn't want this" Clarke tells him.
"Neither did I" He replies.
There's a loud gunshot and Dante groans in pain, collapsing to the floor. Bellamy's arms tighten around me and I look up to see Clarke with tears in her eyes.
Her eyes meet mine and I nod, letting her know it's okay. She nods back and brings the walkie to her mouth as she walks forward.
"Listen to me very carefully. I will not stop until my people are free. If you don't let them go...I will irradiate level five" She warns him.
Just when I think she's gone too far, my mind wanders back to Raven on that table and I'm fully on board with her crazy plan.
"Cage, listen to me. I don't want anyone else to die. Stop the drilling, and we can talk. There must be a way to get us all out of this" Clarke negotiates.
I watch as Emerson and Cage speak in a huddled position until Emerson storms away.
"Emerson's coming for us" Clarke says in panic.
"They deactivated my key card. Can you do that to his?" Bellamy asks Monty.
"That one's easy" Monty replies, sitting down at the keyboard.
"Where's he going?" Bellamy then asks and I look up at the screen to see Cage angrily walking away.
"The dorm" Clarke realises and my eyes move to look at the screen with the dorm camera on it to see him enter the room.
"Monty, can you do it? Can you irradiate the level?" Clarke asks quickly.
"With a little help, I can do it" Monty says, looking at me and I nod.
"Wait a second" Bellamy says, holding me back "We need to think about this. There are kids in there"
"Raven is dying in there" I snap, prying myself from his arms and shoving my bow in my quiver.
"And the people who helped us" Bellamy reminds us as I take a seat next to Monty, helping him find a way to irradiate the level.
"Then please give me a better idea" Clarke begs.
I take a quick glance at the monitor only to see them dragging Abby to the table where Raven once was.
"Where's Raven?" I ask worriedly.
"Keep typing" Monty snaps and I do just that.
"What have I done?" Clarke whimpers.
My fingers type faster than they ever have before and my anxiety spikes, not knowing if my best friend is dead or alive.
"Clarke, if we do this, there is no going back" Bellamy yells.
"Figure it out" She tells Monty and I.
We get back to work and my brain is working in overdrive.
"No" Bellamy says and I look up at a screen to see Octavia throw her sword at a guard.
She trips the other guy up before taking the sword out the first guy and slitting the second guy's throat.
I watch in worry as multiple more guards run in their direction from another screen and my anxiety only gets worse.
"They've got to get out of there" Bellamy snaps worriedly and I get back to helping Monty.
Suddenly the door starts rattling and the pounding noise of Emerson on the other side startles me a little.
"He's here" Clarke announces.
"Jasper. They caught him" Monty says in disbelief and I look up at the screen to see a guard taking Jasper into the dorm.
"Why is everything going to shit?" I mutter, typing away angrily at the keyboard.
The computer chimes letting us know our work is done and I sigh, cracking my knuckles.
"Why are you stopping?" Clarke snaps.
"Because we did it" Monty replies.
"All you gotta do is pull that lever, blondie" I tell the girl.
"Hatches and vents will open, and the scrubbers reverse, pulling in outside air" Monty explains further.
I watch as Bellamy's eyes wander to the screen and I see Emerson setting up explosives at the door.
"He's gonna blow the door" Bellamy snaps, pointing his gun at the door.
"Clarke, we're out of time" Monty stresses.
Clarke puts her hand on the lever and I see the hesitation in her eyes. She looks at all the screens in fear and I look up too.
The sight of Abby being drilled into and Octavia being shoved to the ground is enough to make me stand up and walk over to the older blonde's side.
"I have to save them" She tells me with a broken look on her face.
"We'll bare it so they don't have to" I assure her, putting my hand on hers.
"Together" She agrees, nodding.
We pull the lever down and a loud beeping starts in the room. Monty starts rapidly typing and I watch in horror as hundreds of people start burning up.
They all collapse in their place and my heart breaks as I watch a bunch of innocent people and children die, but I know why we had to do this.
"Let's go get our people" Clarke declares.
I hear the sound of footsteps before a hand grabs mine and I look to my left to see Clarke.
"We did the right thing, right?" I ask shakily.
"It was the only way" She assures me and I nod.
My hand slips out of hers and we start making our way through Mount Weather. We reach the mess hall and I gulp.
Hundreds of burned bodies are scattered across the hall and my eyes water a little at the sight. A large calloused hand grips my hand tightly and I shoot Bellamy a grateful smile.
We all continue to walk until we stop in front of a sobbing Jasper who is holding a burned Maya in his arms.
"What did you do?" He cries.
"We had no choice" Clarke tells him.
"I was gonna kill Cage. If you'd just given me one more minute, it would've been over" Jasper argues.
"Jasper, they never would've stopped" Bellamy replies in a sad tone.
"We have to go to the dorm" Clarke says.
She and Bellamy make their way to the dorm but I stay rooted in my spot next to Monty.
"How could you let this happen?" Jasper asks Monty in anger.
"I'm sorry" Is all Monty says.
"Sorry? You're sorry?" Jasper sobs and Monty grabs my hand, dragging me along with him towards the dorm.
We reach the dorm with Clarke and Bellamy, Clarke immediately running to hug her mother.
"Raven? Where's Raven?" I ask, searching through the crowd of people.
I see Wick lifting up a limp Raven and tears start streaming down my face.
"Wick!" I shout, running towards him.
"Ava" He smiles through his tears.
"Is she okay? Please tell me she's not dead" I sob, pushing her hair off her forehead.
"She's gonna be okay, Ava" He assures me and I let out a relieved cry.
"Ava?" I hear a voice say and I turn to see Harper.
"Harper" I sigh, wrapping my arms around the girl.
"Octavia is looking for you" The girl tells me and I shoot her a grateful smile before looking around for my raven haired best friend.
"O!" I holler as I see the girl with Bellamy and Kane.
She perks up and when she sees me a wide grin stretches across her face. We run at each other and collide in a tight hug. She pulls me away at arms length and frowns.
"What's the matter, A?" She asks worriedly.
"I did a terrible thing, O" I tell her, my voice breaking.
"You did it for your people. We're alive because of you" She replies and I smile softly.
We share another short hug before we begin our journey back to Camp Jaha.

I enter the camp grounds with my arm linked with Octavia's. My eyes meet that of Jasper and I excuse myself from Lincoln and Octavia to walk over to the boy.
"Ava" He greets me with a broken smile.
"I'm so sorry, Jas. I hate myself for what happened to Maya. I did what I had to do and I hope I don't lose you over it, because you mean so much to me" I tell him truthfully and a tear escapes his eye as he nods.
"I respect your honesty, but I'm gonna need some time" He replies.
"As long as you need" I assure him, patting his shoulder "I'll be here when you're ready"
The heartbroken boy walks away and I let out a sad sigh. I turn around only to see Bellamy entering camp and Clarke walking away.
My feet start moving before I can even comprehend it and I race through the crowds of people, right past Bellamy and out the gate.
"Clarke!" I shout.
She stops in her place and hesitantly turns to face me.
"Where the hell are you going?" I ask her as I stop in front of the girl.
"I can't stay here, Ava. I can't just walk around camp and act as if i've not killed hundreds of people" She stresses.
"We. We killed hundreds of people, Clarke. You didn't do that alone" I reply.
"I know, but you're stronger than I am" She argues.
"You don't have to do this. You don't have to be alone. I'm here" I assure her.
"Thank you, Ava. For everything" She smiles softly.
"Clarke" I sigh with a frown.
"Look after our people for me" She states.
"I will" I promise, wrapping my arms around her.
She hugs me tightly and a tear runs down my face. We pull away and hold each other at arms length.
"May we meet again" She whispers.
"We will" I assure her and she smiles.
She leans in and places a light kiss on my cheek.
"Goodbye, Ava" She says before walking away.
I watch with a sad smile as she disappears into the forest.
"Until next time, blondie" I whisper, knowing she's too far away to hear me now.
Arms wrap around my waist and a chin is placed on my shoulder.
"Let's get inside, sunshine" Bellamy whispers in my ear.
He takes my hand and tugs it in the direction of the camp.
"Piggyback?" I ask sweetly and he grins happily.
He crouches a little and I leap onto his back, wrapping my arms and legs around him. His hands grip my thighs tightly and I lean forward, kissing his cheek before laying my chin on his shoulder.
"I love you, Bellamy Blake" I whisper in his ear.
"And I love you, Ava Steele" He replies with a big smile.
