✧ SYNOPSIS β™‘ Cassia Damiano represents Italy in Eurovision 2023, although she has a bit of anxiety, so Bojan invites her to go out to take her mind off things.

Β  Β  THE GRAND FINAL results were quite the disappointment for Cassia Damiano to say the least. She was in the top five but did not win, which made her feel like a failure. What was she thinking? There was no way in hell that she would beat Lorine or Jere, so she'd felt stupid for thinking she had a shot. While she was thankful for the opportunity, it also made her feel things that she hadn't in such a long time.

Β  Β  She found that there were times when she regretted being chosen. It felt as though she disappointed her country, even though she'd done the best that she could. In the moment after the results were announced, Kaz really began to wonder if she could have done any better, maybe she could have put more of her energy into it. She didn't know but for so long, the what-if's were eating her up.

Β  Β  After MΓ₯neskin won two years prior, Kaz aspired to be like them as she looked up to them. She wanted to make history like they had, but it didn't seem to be in the cards for her. If she had won, she would have been the second trans woman to do so, which is something that would have been cool. She still hoped that other trans people would see her as an inspiration and follow their dreams just like she was, no matter how difficult it may be.

Β  Β  There was one thing that she would never regret and that was meeting her friends. It's true that everyone was like a family and she was saddened to know that it was over. The H/C haired girl felt blessed for each person she had become friends with, them having shown her so much kindness and support. It was honestly beautiful.

Β  Β  It was the morning after the finals and the Italian had just finished getting ready for her flight back home. After time spent crying for a little while, she finished packing her bags, changing into a simple outfit for the airport. Friends of hers would be there but she was most excited to see Bojan; over the time the two had gotten to know each other, she had developed feelings for him.

Β  Β  There was absolutely no way that she was able to go without that happening. The girl thought that he was a sweetheart and it was probably an understatement. He was always so respectful of her and helped her so much when she was visibly struggling. It made her feel loved and cared about, but she knew that he did care for her. All Cassia wanted was to be able to stay close to him.

Β  Β  Through that desire, she had come to the realization that her feelings were stronger than she originally thought. He seemed to understand her more than anyone else and he wasn't afraid to attempt it, even if he truly didn't. She could tell that he wanted to try so he could comfort her whenever she'd needed it. He made her feel like she was not alone and that feeling by itself was strong.

Β  Β  Cassia went to the airport around two hours before her flight was scheduled to board and take off, doing all that she needed to. After she was finished, she had spotted Teya and Salena who were about to leave to board their own flight. She hugged them and was sure to tell them that she'd be keeping in contact like they planned to do.

Β  Β  It was bittersweet but she was sure that she would see them again. The Damiano eventually found the guy that she wanted to see and went to sit next to him once they made eye contact. The two started chatting and she found out that he wouldn't leave until a couple hours after she did. Yes, the other members of Joker Out would be there, but Kaz still felt sadness that she wouldn't be there with him.

Β  Β  To be honest, she hadn't had feelings for anyone in a while so it scared her at first as she didn't know if he'd reciprocate them, but she started thinking that she should just be open and honest. She had an internal battle with herself since she didn't want to be turned down, but there was also that chance that he did like her back.

Β  Β  "Are you alright?" He asked with care in his tone.

Β  Β  She hadn't realized that she had gotten trapped in her thoughts until she heard his voice, which she could have listened to for the whole day. "Yeah, I'm all good, just had to stop and think about things. It's been the most stressful yet best time and I just can't believe that it's over with."

Β  Β  The Slovenian gave a little chuckle. "Yeah it's hard to wrap my head around it too. How did time go by so quickly? It's bittersweet to think about but hey, at least we met some amazing people."

Β  Β  He was thinking about one person and it would be obvious to everyone around them. He leaned back in the chair he was sitting on, eyes trained on the Italian, smiling like he usually would around her. It felt like it was impossible for him not to since she was just so beautiful and radiant. Her presence never failed to make him happier and it was one thing he'd come to love about her.

Β  Β  "That we did," she agreed with a smile of her own gracing her features.

Β  Β  Cassia and Bojan talked for a while longer before her flight was announced to now be boarding, breaking up the happy space that the two had built up in their time of waiting. She sighed before standing up, not wanting to leave yet. She had been having such a great conversation and time with him so it's understandable that she wouldn't want to.

Β  Β  The Damiano crossed her arms over her chest. "Well, that's me, I guess I should go. I hate that I've got to go so soon."

Β  Β  "Yeah, it sucks, but we're going to text and have lots of FaceTime calls. I promise you that. I can't go without talking to you now." He was being honest, though he was questioning if he should be even more open and honest.

Β  Β  Cassia started to walk away in the direction that she needed to go but was soon stopped by none other than Bojan, who had gently stood and grabbed her hand. He decided fuck it, why not just confess his feelings before she had to leave.

Β  Β  "Wait, there's something I need to say before you go." He watched as she turned around, curiosity in her eyes as soon as he said something. She waited for him to elaborate, not knowing what to expect.

Β  Β  There was a nervousness in his stomach but he ignored it to the best of his ability. It wasn't like he could change his mind, not that he wanted to. "Cassia Damiano, I have feelings for you, romantic ones. I couldn't let you leave without me telling you. I'm so sad that we have to leave each other because I constantly want to see you. I've wanted to hold your hand and tell you what I feel."

Β  Β  He went to say something else but was cut off by Kaz pressing her lips to his in a loving, gentle kiss. She pulled away just a couple of seconds later but it said everything. No words had to be exchanged.

Β  Β  "If you didn't guess, I feel the same way." She almost giggled at the expression on his features, Bojan having been surprised in the best way.

Β  Β  "I have to go but I feel the same and you are going to owe me a date the next time we see one another." Cassia's tone was playful but she meant every word and he was aware of that fact.

Β  Β  Bojan kissed her one last time before letting her go, the two waving to each other before Cassia disappeared from his sight.
